@ chan baby truth is this America thing is a big sacrifice especially in dis Buhari administration and trust me the last thing you want is to be stranded in the USA (that's when you will know to do moneygram you must be at the bank 6am only 2 transactions per day you may get 1 or 2 people but trust me you won't get 10 pple to queu 6am to 8 am for you also people have their own plans for their time allocation and after money gram charges the difference is slim and very few banks still do it a lot have stopped and for those that do Na serious stress and connect ur hussling with traders too)or for CBP to ask for ur cash and you don't have something substantial.
What was your budget at the embassy ? Most mothers have noted they like to hear you have $10,000 cash on you or in ur American account.
It's not easy but I advice you take at least 75 -80% of your money on you except you have paid the hospital bill and then you can say hubby is doing moneygram.
Just avoid POE issues but if you can close eye buy it and hold ur cash .....I hate stories that touch!!

My dear open access since they allow $200
Speak to bankers close to you, they can get u at a cheap rate like 450
Access has a special card they give for u to withdraw abroad speak to a banker there wasn't paying attention but heard some pips discussing it u can withdraw $1000.
Toast as many aboki' as you know offer to buy PTA at like 430
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by drafrican: 3:38pm On Nov 29, 2016
Well many things can go wrong with an application
1) if they think your financial standing is not ok ( in their mind o)I.e bank statements income vs hospital bill.cash inflow outflow, sudden increased activity etc
2) ties to your country in your case where did u plan to stay with relatives or an hotel ,what does the relative do in America if it's hotel is ur budget feasible.
3) a lot goes wrong with filling the form they have a way of asking the same question in a different format.
4)your travel history prior to marriage, your named relatives wud be checked before ur interview
5) finally American embassy is the craziest followed by shengen they can deny your visa for no sensible reason in fact they can give you a visa without looking at any document maybe it wasn't your lucky day.if everything is in order you still have time you can reapply and what reason was ticked on the rejection paper/slip
6) the trump effect the new president is not pro anchor babies

Hello drafrican, can you please itemized steps for baby's documentation in Maryland since you were there for your last missionary journey. Thanks.
After you have ur birth certificate (I did 2)
For the American passport I downloaded the form and filled them don't sign you take it to a notary public at DHL office or I think regular post office with all required documents and a notary public officer will be there and you and hubby (I Donno d process if hubby is absent) sign in his presence and he attaches his signature with ur passports photocopies and pix then you head to Howard county library and pay for expedited had my baby's pix taken there too.
For the Nigerian one you go to the website note how much and what name to address the postal/money order to,there is a place to write ur baby's name then we sent it expedited.they sent us a mail when they received it but for my friend they delayed so she headed to the consulate with the photocopy and all documents speak Yoruba well and pay for expedited you wud get it same day or next,if ur impatient u can get a visa ,the American passport took the longest

Just so u don't carry ur naira there n board a plane empty handed.
Try alternate sources. They don't know when "CBN" will allow them sell. But the counter was empty sha.

@ mumzt got the visa 5yrs but the cost made me cry you have to buy at black market $800 plus pay into your dorm account and pay with ur dollar debit card.when I applied dollar was 450 it was before the dss raid that made it 400.
Even with Black Friday sales any American ticket you see for $1200 or 400k is a good deal especially if you can pay in naira.
I noticed delta seems to be doing sales,BA tickets are about $1500-1800, Emirates about 450,000 but Qatar rates are sweet cos their dollar exchange rate is about 307.
You can get for $1150 to Washington and get on south western for $80 to $150 to your final destination
As for PTA pls helep a sister, pls what's the latest travellex procedure, latest documents and what time does normal check in start on Qatar on the day of travel thanks.

For my LO my grandchildren may just get lucky if she marries a british citizen lol American/british citizenship lol
Actually citizenship in Europe is better esp countries like Denmark
Well at least masters school fees will be less and if your child is a dr getting to work in the USA system would be easier I mean 6 digits in dollars not naira per year .....

arik is not bad. no in flight entertainment. regular cabin crew. very good pilots. leg room is average. normal nigerian food. DH was able to pay for baby's ticket in nigeria and it was about N20k and change.

However you must consider your final destination cos if it isn't Newyork then you have to factor in local flight and baggage charges on the local flight.
For local flights always book southwestern airlines you are allowed 2 bags of 23kg and a hand luggage

Pls I really don't know what to do, my agent is offering to book Arik air. Refund is not in view oh. Which kind wahala be dis. My hubby is so upset. It's only God that can help me. Who has used Arik air to new york. Pls let me get ur opinions.
Ask her for the ticket number of d former one and call the airline I find it strange you can't add your infant cos infant in lap nko or hunt for a ticket urself send the details to her ask her to pay and be ready to give her commission but that shud do it. Threaten to report her to IATA ,for now I won't fly arik this one their planes engine stopped midair they are having issues.second is ask her the cost of cancellation of the ticket.

You can get british airways for about $1556 just tried to book but you pay in dollars.
For Qatar try early December and return in March
Emirates too is about 460.
But check daily when they see their flights are empty the price jumps up then jumps down lol
