A Passionate appeal to the Emperor of Western Nigeria - High Majesty, Engr. Ademusiwa.


Every society can made to fit into the 3-pillar theory of composition:
1. Political Pillar
2. Economic Pillar and
3. Social Pillar.
It can be described to be akin to a 3-legged stool where the impairment of one of the pillars, collapses it.


Nigeria is not an exception to this model of societal set up. Each of the 3 major Geo-political classes of Nigeria seem to be dominant in one of these pillars. This is not to say there is any class that is totally deficient in any of the other Pillars.


I have followed, with some level of objectivity the subtle proposition, by the self-acclaimed Emperor of Western Nigeria - Ademusiwa, for the independence of western Nigeria.


This is a thread of plea for the lovers and advocates of the Nigerian project to join me to plea with his Majesty, the Emperor to kindly grant Nigeria the privilege to have some the Knights of the empire that have distinguished themselves in the Nigerian Project and have proved themselves to be worthy and indispensable ingredients in it's future.

Permit me Your Majesty to list some examples of such Knights of Western Nigeria (KWN):


1. Babatunde Raji Fashola: Listed among the top 100 thinkers of the world, distinguished Governor of Eko State of Western Nigeria, if not the best Governor Nigeria ever had. He practically lectured the people called the Law-makers of the FRN. They listened to the rare Opportunity with Keen interest and apt attention and I'm sure they've been wondering in their minds why isn't he the one leading the red chamber.


2. John Fayemi Kayode (JFK): A professional of civilian-military Politics and a National strategist that set several precedents in Nigerian democracy. His ministerial screening was a classical erudite depiction of a true Democrat, Diplomat and a humble administrator.


3. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu:
i- The Jagaban of all times.
ii- The father of common sense revolutuion.
Iii -The visionary and astute Strategist.
iv- The discoverer of Brains and Talents.


4. General Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Obasanjo: (Amidst the realities of his times)
i- The Watchman of the Nation.
ii- The Navigator of change
iii- The hands behind the scene of the Change Mantra.
iv- The Pan Nationalist
v- The African eye of the EPG.

5. Omoyele Sowore - The bold and progressive founder of the Sahara reporters including Adeola Fayehun and my Colleague - Dr. Damages.


The last but not the least:
7. Seun Osewa: My respectable Landlord of Nairaland. The forum where you find everyone from everywhere expressing everything from Hearts. When you come across some news, come to Nairaland and see the hidden facts and motives from the averagely reasonable, matured and sometimes humanly sentimental comments from the likes of Cramjones, the then Barcanista, Omenka, e-gift, Ishilove, ever-wailing Chukwdi44, etc.

I hope the appeal will be given a favourable consideration.

Several allegations have been made against President Muhammadu Buhari. One of such is that which postulates he is an extremist.

Among references made to butress such point is the 'Total sharia implementation' theory otherwise known as the Islamisation of Nigeria.

Again, some want to conveniently adduce he is the Architect of Boko Haram all in the same effort to execute his 'ulterior motive'.

This evening, logging unto my darling Nairaland, I saw a thread that showed the wanna be celebrity, Zahra Buhari, visit an IDP camp where she took part of their food preparations to show them support and encourage them.

I am a Fulani man whose father is a pragmatic Muslim and seriously condemn extremism but even he can never allow my sisters to dress the way ZB did within the house compound talkless of them going out let alone snapping pix to be posted on the media showing some feminine shapes.

I really find it difficult to comprehend how falsehood will be used to the extent of it seeming to be true.

Kaduna uncovers N1.3 billion pension racket
The Kaduna State Government has announced that it has uncovered a pension racket that costs the state N1.3 billion annually. This was one of the highlights of the report on the verification of pensioners in the state that has been presented to the state executive council. The report confirmed that 2,484 ghost pensioners were identified and removed from the pension payroll. Another set of 1,404 were classified as probable ghost pensioners because while they managed to get verified, they curiously failed to pick their pension cheques.
A statement from Samuel Aruwan, spokesman to the Governor, Malam Nasie El-Rufai, said that the state executive council has ordered investigations to identify the person(s) that have collecting the pensions of the ghost pensioners.
Aruwan’s statement said:
“In July 2015, the total pension payroll from the state and local governments stood at 18,265. It cost the state government N543,771,967.43 monthly to pay the pensioners.
“But at the end of the biometric verification exercise, only 15,781 pensioners were verified on the payroll. As many as 2,484 supposed pensioners did not show up at all. Of 15,781 pensioners that were verified, 1,404 pensioners did not collect their cheques, and they are being treated as probable ghosts.
“The Kaduna State Executive Council has ordered further investigations into the precise identities of the syndicate behind the pension scam. The council welcomed the fact that the verification of the pension payroll will now enable the state to save N1.3 billion every year.”
