There are many people on this forum applying for UK visa to write PLAB examination. Read back and your will find what they did. Some got the visa, others did not. The most important thing convincing the ECO that you will leave the UK after your visit.
Thanks sir...
Appreciate it

Good evening house...

The advice gotten here has been invaluable.... Thanks...

Just a quick question...
I'm applying for a visitor visa (6 months) with the intention of sitting for plab 2 exams.
Estimated cost of the trip is N390,000 as I intend spending just 3 nights in the UK...

How much in total would you feel should be safe for me to have in my account?
NB: I'm married with a child. Monthly expenses of N85,000 and salary of close to N200,000 monthly...

Thanks a million
Any thougths on this?
Will appreciate some guidance please...
Thanks

I still prefer my afriprud to fmn.
Proceed from sale of asset cannot be sustained.
Personally, I'll rather be in United Capital now than APR... There's more price movement potential in it than APR (at year end) considering the fact that they have given an interim already... Except if they give a bonus issue, which they comfortably can do considering the low outstanding share number...

Anyway, both are great buys at present prices...

NB: This is not a buy or sell recommendation...

I am also in United Capital, their subsidiary is also one of my stockbrokers. They should be able to pay a minimum dividend of 30k.
It has built a support around N1.40K, thereabout, in recent times. I expect their q3 to be equally exciting... A 30k dividend sounds exciting but I doubt they'll pay that high... A 23k (+ or - 2k) looks more probable...

BusinessRe: Transcorp: The Fall Of A Giant? by DrAwo(m): 3:15am On Feb 24, 2008
Thank God that madam D.G. of the NSE is also involved in the Transcorp saga. If not for her influence, i'm sure Transcorp will be selling for 0.50k now. She, maybe, used her influence to revert the price of transcorp after the suspension on it's price post public offer was "illegally" lifted. she must have also been quick to act by placing a suspension on the price just when the news about the Nitel reversal issue was raised. Infact, the week before this news hit the market, transcorp appreciated by almost 27%.

Now don't you just smell foul play somewhere!!!
