@Seyisanya Where have you been? Been a while you said anything here... I see you in the shadows though... |
zimams:Just for the record, production cuts aren't this deep. "As a result of the output cut, Nigeria will now be producing 1.412 million barrels per day, 1.495 million barrels per day, and 1.579 million barrels per day respectively for the corresponding periods in the agreement; as against the 1.829 million barrels per day of dry crude oil that was the reference production in October 2018." https://nairametrics.com/2020/04/10/opec-deal-nigeria-to-cut-oil-output-by-22-to-1-4mbpd/ |
megamart247:I don't think statements like this should be condoned here... You might not be able to choose whose advice you listen to but you can certainly choose whose advice you follow... If their recommendation does not suit you, leave it and pass. Attacking the person helps no-one... |
arduino:No wonder there was some heavy buying a couple of weeks ago... |
https://nairametrics.com/2020/05/31/want-to-be-like-warren-buffet-here-are-the-secrets/ Very interesting read... |
DrAwo: stcool:If you read the discussion that followed my post above I believe you'll get a cleared picture of the problem the breweries are facing as a whole... |
For those in the Vitafoam bus, enjoy your loot... The company seems to be enjoying a breakout year. The question you need to ask yourself is "why is vitafoam flying and how sustainable is it?" Q1 saw EPS double year on year. Q2 also did the same. A closer look at the numbers however show reduced revenue in both quarters so the company didn't make more sales but is making higher profits... Cost of sales declined significantly in both q1 and Q2 2020 as compared with 2019. Looking as the notes to the financial statements show that their raw materials were bought cheaper year on year. A Google search shows polyurethane (derived from crude oil) as a major raw material in foam production. So you see where this is going - the massive drop crude oil price was a big blessing for vitafoam... Expect a good q3 too as crude oil prices are still down year on year but don't expect the party to continue forever. Oil prices are rebounding. Dont be the one holding the empty cup when the music stops.... |

Mcy56:Hmmmn A wise man once said "Delayed results are almost always decayed results. " Caverton, please prove him wrong for my sake... |
meshpips:Thanks for this and for always sharing your thoughts irrespective of the reception it gets... I've added volume adjusted price to my 'things to learn' list... |
meshpips:Good day boss... Just had a look at the charts... There's a resistance at 17.40 thereabout but I'm not sure it's a major resistance... Maybe I'm not looking at the right time frame or using the indicators you used but can you throw more light on this... #iAmLearning... |

CAVEAT: This is not a serious post. Be warned... Something is 'paining' me... It is doing me one kain one kain... Please if anyone knows the MD, CEO or Company secretary of Presco and Okomu oil palm, help me remind them that we are in the 21st century... Each time I try to read through their reports, the impression I get is that they went to type it across the street at a business centre and then sent the photocopy to NSE for publication... Haba... Let them buy computer for their secretary. I'm sure he or she will do a better job at producing an aesthetic report rather than the business centre operator. Thanks |
ositadima1:I use chrome. If you click on the little triangle beside the stock ticker, then click on market orders and then select if you want it displayed by price or by order...

Mr or Mrs/Miss systematic redstar express dumper is back at it today... NEVER less than N2.8 and never more than 99,500 units.... |
debeey87:Yeah... That's the exact point... After securing that price move someone started steadily offloading at 2.80 with maximum units per transaction of 99,500... What do I know though... We wait for the results in July... |
NSE ASI goes above the proverbial 24,000... Lets see if it stays up there and if the NSEMPA famous 10 10% has come to stay... |
DeRuggedProf:Its probably a bot that places those trades... No one will have the time to manually place each of those trades... |
DrAwo:There is more to this than meets the eyes... Someone is possibly smartly dumping his/her position here in a way that wouldn't affect the close price for the day... There is something fishy here... |
Caverton on full bid... |
Redstar express is pulling some serious volume today... Interesting... |
Round 2 starting gradually... |
Momentum seems to be slowing up generally now... Gtb still firing on all cylinders.... Round 2 in the making ![]() |
Zenith bounced off resistance at 15.95... We'll see if it can retest that level again today... |
Market on steroids... |
@Pa Emma... At what value monitarily would you advise that one diversifies his/her portfolio from being stock/shares only to include other vehicles such as bonds and treasury bills? Anyone with informed opinion can answer as well... Thanks |
