iLegendd:WOOOoooOOOW!!! I used to think that learning a progamming(coding) language is akin to and difficult as learning a new language like Chinese or French language untill I discovered this thread... Ride on Sir!... But do you think(from your experience) that as a beginner,I can learn coding in six months? And again, after learning these skills,HOW DO I MAKE MONEY FROM IT??...I mean who will employ me?I have got a laptop and an android phone already. Please don't say that I ask too many questions...I am a novice to these....just like you were few years ago....but I have the passion and I don't want to make mistakes.... |
Damayogenius18:Please Explain... |
Damayogenius18:What of those that can't use whatsapp .........??........Any hope for us ......Sir.....?? |
Pes13:Alright...........Thanks a lot. |

I saw in HiLearners blog that the probability of Ui conducting their PostUtme earlier(around July--August) this year is very high(as against last year's which was conducted around October). So being a slow reader,I got thrilled by the news.I bought Understanding chemistry and I have been reading it for a month now without being able to finish it.Though I understood 80% of all that I have read. Also I bought Idodo Umeh biology but the textbook is damn big! I read from morning till night but at the end of the day I feel as though I have not covered much. The next day,I brace up and study even harder......still the same experience(especially with chemistry and physics)....but if I read other books like novels,I could finish it at most within two days and understand everything no matter how voluminous it is. Bosses here I need your help.Even on the fact that I am going for a very competitive course,I want to inculcate and internalise in me,....THE HABIT OF SWIFT AND EFFECTIVE STUDIES.... Let us take it that the examination is coming up in August...,how do I finish and at the same time absorb everything I need to pass this PostUtme using these textbooks within this short time interval... BIOLOGY:Explicit,Modern and Idodo Ume. CHEMISTRY:Understanding,Lamlad,New school PHYSICS:lamlad,Principles of physics,A-level physics and New school physics. English is not much of my problems as I can finish it within a week. Cc..Pes13,MrHistorian,Condomsir,..and other bosses here.... |

(A) Oxidation number (B) Valence (C) Atomic number (D) Electronegativity Explanations will be highly appreciated! |
Samsonyte: Samsonyte:There are two reasons for which I chose option A as the answer to question number 2. FIRST:Let us look at the definition of the words involved... (A) Innocuous = HARMLESS,not intended to offend or upset anyone. (B) Ludicrous = UNREASONABLE,ABSURD,RIDICULOUS,that you cannot take seriously. (C) Ridiculous = ABSURD,LUDICROUS,very silly or UNREASONABLE(synonym of Ludicrous). (D) Notorious = well known for being bad. When you take a cursory look at these words and their meanings, you will notice that option (A) depicts a positive action while others depicts a negative action.A word is positive if it brings a sense of morality, fairness or fortune, while, A word is negative if it is obscene or immoral or if it shows misfortune. Therefore, using The Elimination-by-status method of determining the answer to a question like this, I deduced that OPTION A is the answer. SECOND : The question is saying that Bisola should not have taken offence at Emeka's words(which supposedly is not worth taking offence at). Now let us look at it this way.... (A) If Emeka's words were INNOCUOUS,which means 'harmless', then, there is no way you can tell me that Bisola will take offence at harmless words. (B) If Emeka's words were LUDICROUS which means 'unreasonable',then Bisola should be justified for taking offence at Emeka's unreasonable words. (C) If Emeka's words were RIDICULOUS, which means 'very silly',then Bisola should be justified for taking offence at Emeka's silly words. (D) If Emeka's words were NOTORIOUS which means 'always bad', then Bisola is justified to take offence at Emeka's bad words. Summarily, Bisola should not have taken offence at Emeka's harmless(Innocuous) comments. |

Damayogenius18: ivumar:A is the answer. In the first place, oxygen does not exist as an atom and the question is asking you which ELEMENT or COMPOUND .....So,I think ivumar is very correct. You can google it and confirm. |
Damayogenius18:Boss, I de hail oooo.... Sir,this your statement shocked me to the bone marrows and sent cold shivers down my spine......I mean,it really got me thinking!.It takes unimaginable courage to set a goal as this... The last time I wrote UI post UTME,I scored 53(though not prepared at all due to some circumstances in my life then that were beyond my control).I am not the 'marathon jacking type'... ...my own na 'slow and steady'....Damayogenius18:Abeg no leave us go into exile ooooo.Boys like us are really learning from bosses like you,Pes13,Orezy5,condomsir,boyejo123,Afoobabs,....and many others. I can tell you that my high score in Jamb can as well be associated to the priceless tutorials I got from bosses in this forum... There are so many things we learn here in seconds which can take you weeks to come across in textbooks. So please,LET US JOINTLY HELP OURSELVES GET OUR HEART DESIRES THIS YEAR(Especially UI students(Even though we are still aspirants, but we don enter be that ooo ))Many HEADS are always better than one!!! |
