You know that in physics, infinity does not mean the 'horizon' or a very far distance.Infinity as a concept in physics and in the use of spherical mirrors and lenses in determination of the image position relative to the object position implies a distance JUST LONGER THAN THE PRINCIPAL AXIS OF THE MIRROR OR LENS in question.Based on this,the features of image formed at infinity can be studied.You can browse it or check textbooks for confirmation.


But my problem is the nature or characteristics of that image formed at infinity,when the object is placed at the principal focus of a concave mirror........
.....Even my physics teacher had a different answer to the one I saw in books........so am confused.....

Who knows where I can get the lamlad texts in Asaba/Onitsha this period? I need the biology, chemistry and physics if they are available

Just walk in to any bookshop and ask them of it.
Make sure you buy Lamlad Chemistry.It's very helpful for JAMB.

For biology,I'd advise you to check EXPLICIT BIOLOGY.It contains jamb past questions(1978 till date) with detailed answers and explanations chapter by chapter(Just like the English textbook, INVISCIBLE TEACHER by Dele Ashade).

For physics,I would advice you to go for A LEVEL PHYSICS.

There's actually enough time if you've already been preparing before now.
It isn't only about reading. One can read, read and read and still not show signs of improvement. When you read, do you also you practise with PAST QUESTIONS? I place emphasis on pqs because they're indeed helpful..
I'm sure there're some questions which even after reading and reading one will still not get them. That's where past questions come to play. You don't expect to grasp all details in a concept after reading. Pqs reveal your areas of weakness and hence, tells you to work on them.
Two months isn't a great deal of time but there's much you can do to improve..

Now, on organisation..
Create a to do list of topics(esp the ones that are still giving you troubles) you're to read everyday.
Make sure you read them(be determined! Avoid distractions!) Don't waste your time on topics you already know(you can do revision on them before the day of your exam).
Like I said before, test yourself on the topic once you're through. This will help you learn faster. Do not cram(this is jamb, not waec. Understanding is needed), it's pure waste of time! Associate what you already know with things you're to learn.


On the biology texts...
I used modern(mainly for reading)
Essential(for its diagrams. If I'm not mistaken, Jamb still uses black/white diagrams)
and Lamlad(for the questions it carries)
One interesting thing about biology is you already know what you already know. You just need to revise at intervals in order not to forget.
And again, don't forget your jamb past questions. Solving at least 10 years(500 questions) in each should do.

Questions(type and amount) from the novel vary from one candidate to another..
But I don't think it'll exceed 15(the total number of questions in English is 60).

Try to do all what you've written on your to do list before the day runs out..

The normal past questions na or are there different types?
Please I beg you in the name of God, read your textbooks.. And who told you there isn't enough time? Of course there is. Depends on how you use your time.
Use the Lamlad texts(They have many jamb standard questions) to check yourself on each topic.
Again, it depends on how you use your time.
Organisation is the key..

Please be explicit on this.....I don't think there is enough time to prepare for this jamb and smash 300+(especially for students going for medicine like me),with just 2 months remaining.

You mentioned ORGANISATION......I, for example, read everyday from morning till night (because my people are hell-bent on seeing that I enter medical school next year,so they relieved me of every house work but to study),but it seems that I don't acheive much!.....I have enough time,but I lack organisation!...I'm scared!....I don't want to tell my people stories again in this JAMB.....Please,I would like it if you can share with us some tips you applied in utilising this principle(ie.the most effective study skills to use to prepare for this JAMB especially now that the exam is already at hand).

Also,which textbook is very good for JAMB biology preparation? I have an achilles heel in biology....

How many questions do we expect from that Jamb recommended novel(INDEPENDENCE)?.....that novel is a crap,very boring,and full of BIG grammer,LAST DAYS AT FORCADOS HIGH SCHOOL was better...

Your comment made me feel very unsure of the question and my little ability in Physics. The question looks so simple that I can't see anything demanding in it. You are to calculate the distance covered in the fifth minute. I think the simplest way to do this is calculate how much distance S₅ is covered in 5 minutes, calculate how much distance S₄ is covered in 4 minutes. Then subtract the two. So here we go
Using 2nd equation of motion S = ut + 1/2at², we first calculate how much distance is covered in 5 minutes.
S₅ = 0*5 + 1/2*4*5*5 (since it accelerates from rest u the initial velocity is 0, a= 4 and t = 5) = 50 m
S₄ = 0*4 + 1/2*4*4*4 (t=4) = 32 m
So the distance covered in the 5^th second = distance covered in 5 minutes - distance covered in 4 minutes = 50-32 = 18 m

I have learnt something today....don't think I will fail this in Jamb again.......Thanks.

Hello. Your views are quite noted but I beg to disagree on certain points. You said, and I quote: "damages is a fee being paid for any destruction". That is not strictly correct. If I give you money for your birthday, that is NOT damages but gift. If I am working in your company and you pay me at the end of the month, that is salary and not damages. If you get married to me and you pay bride price to my dad, that is bride price and not damages. If you damaged my car and you gave me money. That is compensation and NOT damages. Damages is money that is ORDERED by court for compensation.

Since we are talking about some destruction to the car, we should be talking about damage. In this case, you cannot put it in plural form

The court ordered the lorry driver to pay for the..... to my car. It is damages in this context but the destruction itself is singular
