Book an appointment on vfs website when you get the biometric request. You will print the appointment letter and biometric request, 2 copies of your passport data page and the passport itself. You won't have to pay again. You can take the kids if there is no one to watch them.
Thank you so much. Would it just be the primary applicant (myself) or myself and my hubby for the biometrics..... I won't want to take the kids o. It would the stressful... Doing my medicals wasn't easy....travling long distance with the kids....
And hope I would get a space within the 30days given....cos medicals...all I kept hearing is we are fully booked....sorry for my many questions

Pls for those who have done biometrics.. what's the procedure, location..abj or Lagos, cost...I paid about 170$ for it while paying for my application fee... Would I need to pay again? and how to submit.
Also do we need to take kids under 3yrs along even though they won't be part of the biometrics...cos they give 30days to submit...Just want to have an idea so I prepare....

Please use one scoop of Aptamil to 30ml, you'll be amazed at how your baby will be glowing. What I do is make the food on demand ( i make 120ml, if she finishes it, then make an additional 30 - 60 mls for her). My baby is 10 weeks now and only on formula. She finishes one aptamil in 6 - 7 days max. She takes water only when having hiccups. Even though aptamil is a bit expensive, we are impressed with her growth. She poops once a day or every other day and she is super active and smart.
Thank u so much.

Hope you give her water cuz I was told at the hospital that once you are giving formula you must also give water to avoid constipation. Don't know about aptamil but I'd help you mention mamas that have experience with premies. Cc Yesitsme liftedhands
I do give water in between meals....i got the aptamil today...she seems to like it. Let me watch her stool.

Nweike1:
nice write up sir. I am a consultant OBGYN and the owner of the hospital was one of my ogas during residency. He is well respected and a fellow of the royal college. Even in the government hospital where I trained, he has always been regarded as one of the most knowledgeable, skillful and hard working, managing high risk cases that other consultants are running away from.
As such I dont believe he or his doctors would be negligent in His his private hospital. Hypertensive disorders especially preeclampsia/eclampsia remain the third leading cause of maternal death globally. However, my only criticism is that for high risk cases, if the patient/relations are not willing to comply with your management or facilities and manpower lacking, it's better to refer to a tertiary government center. Run awau from litigation and being scandalized by the social media/press
Exactly, it's better to refer to a tertiary institution when the patient refuses your treatment plan and Make the patient sign against medical advice.
May God continue to guide and protect us all.

It's well explained, viability= the quality, morphology = particular form, shape, or structure, viscosity=the state of being thick, sticky, and semi-fluid in consistency etc.
Well, from the result u posted, most of the parameters and below the lower limit of normal.
The range d lab used is more or less correct.
Normal limits are
Color- Grayish white.
pH- 7.3-7.8 .
Volume- 2.0-5.0 ml.
Sperm count- 20-250 million/ml. Motility >60% motile <3 hours after specimen is obtained.
% Normal sperm >60%.
Viscosity -Can be poured from a pipet in droplets rather than a thick strand.

From the result u posted, I think the patient has Low sperm count. It is a condition called oligospermia This is the term used to describe the condition when the sperm count is low, less than 15 million sperm/ml.

I'd suggest u meet a specialist to know the next step to take.

@Dr Cynthia, I went for a pelvic scan due to irregular and very scanty menstrual periods. The scan report says bulky uterus of AP=46mm in diameter, retained products. Please doctor what can I do about this as I'm trying to conceive.
Well, let's take it one after another.
Problems.
1. Irregular and scanty menstrual period from ur history

2. Bulky uterus with retained products (did u have a recent pregnancy loss)
3. Trying to conceive.
Solution.
1st I will advice u go to a hospital. Maybe a General Hospital or teaching hospital around u (reason being that u will find a specialist there) for proper health consultation.
2nd while u r there, u Wld see a gynecologist who Wld take a look at ur scan and maybe order for a repeat scan and know the appropriate measure to take in emptying the uterus if nessesary.
3rd After which u will be properly investigated for the cause of infertily and appropriate measures taken to help u conceive.

Hope this helps.
