This is incorrect. Both GP and Resident doctor fall under 3112. 3111 is for specialist doctors
I disagree...you are mixing it up.

Pls go to this site and confirm.

I will advise to get your transcript ready from your school first because there is always delay in processing transcript from school except your school is very fast with that.Once your transcript is ready from your school, create an account with ICES and make payment then submit. Then send your school your ICES reference number the next day to forward your transcript by email or through courier.
Remember to upload your international passport and marriage certificate if you are married for clarification for name discrepancy.
God bless you ....... Would do just that.

Your school should send your official transcript to them either through school's official email address or through registered courier.Official email should not be yahoo or gmail.Subject of the mail should be:Transcript for xxxxx(Ref no).Send the school the reference no you got from ICES when you created an account. It starts with A00.....
Thanks veleta. So once I pay and upload my Master's Certificate, I would just go to my school and request for my transcript to be sent to them.

Thanks again

ICES ECA report came out exactly 5 weeks today.Their turnaround is actually very fast.I think WES should be ditched.ICES is hassle free.UPS mail with tracking number was also sent so,you can know when it's to be delivered.
Good afternoon, Pls after applying online, on their site Nd paying the fees. What else did u do? I want to verify my master's Certificate....

ICES website should have the answers.
Yeah, I went through the site, I got confused when they said the institution must send them the document/certificate and not via the individual.
I get the part of applying and uploading docs, at what point will I inform them in my school. because for MCC, after I paid and sent them the docs, they sent a request for verification to my school and my school contacted me and I paid some money for my school to send the verified copy back to MCC....after which I got ECA.

Thank u joo2018, One question, once I upload the documents (in my case masters certificate) to them and pay, does my school still need to send them any document? Or they will contact my school themselves and send me ECA when it's ready?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by drcynthia(f): 4:54pm On Oct 26, 2018
veleta:

Type ICES ECA evaluation and detailed process pops out. However, click on *apply now*, fill in your details, your reference number with A000.....,will be displayed, take note of that then after filling it,scan and upload original B.sc or whatever degree you have in coloured as well as your international passport. There is a placeholder for each document.Of you are married, upload your marriage certificate in the placeholder for*others* this is important to prove the reason for discrepancy for the names in your certificate and international passport.

Go ahead to make payment with debit card as it is accepted notwithstanding their website specifically said only credit card is accepted.Courier fee for Canadian address is $26 while international address is$75.

Then for official transcript, your school *must* send it to ICES through the school's official email address or they can courier it to ICES.Official school email address should not be yahoo or gmail.

I would suggest you follow up with your school so that once the transcript is ready, you can create an ICES acccount, submit then send the reference no to your school to submit the next day or so.

They only send acknowledgement of documents, and completion of ECA to your email or you can log in to your account to see it too.

Once your school sends your transcript to ICES,send them a mail to confirm receipt and you will get response within 48 hrs.Goodluck guys.

The whole process was 5weeks.
Oh thanks. One question, once I upload the document (in my case masters certificate) to them and pay, does my school still need to send them any document? Or they will contact my school themselves.

Instead of buying with 60k, take the gen to PZ at Toyota opposite Ladipo, and buy a brand new half engine, it's about 30-40k comes with original piston and all, their engineers will install it. And your gen will be new again.
Oh nice option....
Technology Market / Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by drcynthia(f): 6:02pm On Oct 24, 2018
Gurus in the house, pls advice me on a gen to buy, I currently use a TEC gen hustler .... I changed the piston and rings few weeks bank and since then it's been consuming oil at an alarming rate and also has a weird sound at start up and when it's on. Can't even carry my fridge or freezer. So I went to a dealers place and he said he will give me elepaq 4.5kva for 82k.
My question is this, which gen can I buy for like 60k with rest of mind....no major load....freezer, manual washing machine and I use it to iron sometimes...(I know that's bad sha). And I don't switch on everything at once.
Thanks cos I cant spot original from fake.

This lady's wedding finger is about to be amputated any moment from now. The wedding ring refuse to come off and the finger is swelling everyday. Any hope?
Amputate that what happened Na? Just go to a good clinic... with a specialist..(maybe a plastic surgeon) the ring would be removed...using a rope/sling...u can even go to YouTube and google "removing a ring from a finger" you will see videos of the procedure using a rope...worse case...the ring would be cut by the doctor (there is a special saw/cutter for a ring) we have that also. I don't know anything bout amputation in such cases except if the finger is already gangrenous due to ischemia.
PS. I have used a rope to remove more than 10 with fingers more swollen than this.

Medically, this isn't an indicaton for Amputation.

If your are inBenin city let me remove it for you free of charge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSq_7e6DJMg
Looks simple and sometimes impossible when you she the size of the finger but it works if it's done right.

I greet you my people, please elders i need your help regarding POF, I have 5k something in each of my Euro and USD account, the cash has been there for more than 6 months. For our Canny waka now we want to use it as POF and the remaining my hubby will transfer Naira to my account as the PA to complete our POF and give me a letter to back it up as his own support for the waka, by God's grace we will enter the pool latest by December or January as Ielts is still holding us hostage. Now my question is can i use the Euro and USD bank statement as POF as it's already more than 6 months without explaination as i live and work in Nigeria or should i change them to Naira and put in TB and use the certificate to submit as POF as putting it in my naira account will make it to be less than 6 months and will be as lumps of money deposited at once in my account. I will be looking forward to the best option. May it all end in praise
Yes u can use the euro ND dollar account, just that the story to plenty small, u will just need a concise LOE. Eg, in a tabular form, I hold the following accounts. S/n, Bank name, type of account, amount, date account was opened. Then fill the table. Get bank ref letters if the accounts are in diff banks. Print bank statements ( since the account hasn't been active) the pages won't be that many. Use oanda or xe.com to give a rough estimate of the amounts in CAD.also use a phone scan app so when u combine all, it won't be more than 4mb. Alternatively, u can move the money to one account and put it in TBILLS... either way, u still need a LOE stating the movement of funds btw Ur accounts, so I feel u can use it the way it is

That is not the army, that is mobile policemen who escort CBN bullion vans with armored personnel carriers and they are high security convoys considering they move both local and foreign currencies.
It is standard procedure you don't overtake them once they are on the move, the stupid driver was lucky he was not shot at for trying that.
100% accurate post... That's CBN convoy... Why on earth would someone want to overtake a fleet of at least 10 cars carrying local and foreign currency.....smh....we r always quick to blame the military when some civilians won't respect themselves..

@tojued @drcynthia

I posted majority of this about 2 months ago, I am just adding a little more;

I live in Winnipeg and it is a decent city. I have been here for a few months so my info may not be absolute.

There are jobs everywhere in Canada and including Manitoba. A search on indeed, workopolis or LinkedIn will give u a good view once u input d city and career area of choice. Although I will say for every 1 job in Manitoba and all the other provinces u have 9-10 in Ontario, 5-6 in Alberta & Quebec, 4-5 in BC. I am saying this from my job search experience but I stand to b corrected. Manitoba and Nova Scotia have more jobs than New Brunswick and slightly more than Saskatchewan.

Life is relatively cheap in Winnipeg compared to most Canadian cities especially housing except for Montreal and Halifax. Government also gives a bit of support to families and if u want u also have food banks and other free stuffs in some places across the city.

There a lot of Nigerians in Manitoba. In my opinion 70-80% of them are into healthcare support jobs, abt 7-10% of them are into customer service jobs, security or other survival jobs, the remaining percentage u find in white collar I believe. Based on this most Nigerians u meet immediately preach the majority jobs to u. I do not blame any1, to each his/her own. To get the healthcare jobs u only need some basic certificates u can get upon payment, no exams.

For the white collar jobs, all u need is do ur search well, highlight ur soft skills and experience, be ready to weather d storms if necessary, finally let God have His way.

1 reason why a lot of people also take some of this survival jobs here in my opinion is discrimination. I may be wrong but when u work in the survival jobs the culture is more immigrant friendly as u have lots of immigrants working with u and it is easier to blend in compared to a much more Canadian environment which is more common in white collars where u have to prove urself over & over ,u are also more careful & uptight (U can imagine this by thinking of working with only white people for 100days without seeing more than 2-3 blacks come your way during work & hearing no other language than English).

With determination, focus and sharpening ur skills u will get white collar and in no time get used to the Canadian culture if u so desire and willing to pay the price.

Winnipeg is quite hot in the summer and extremely cold in Winter, the farther north u go the more extreme the temperature especially the cold.

Housing range is $850-1300 for 1-2 bedroom apt.
Monthly Bus pass is $100 for unlimited bus ride across Winnipeg.
Cost of grocery for a family of 4 is between $250 -400.
Car insurance $105- 180 depending on the car
Gas for car $50-100 depending on ur commute
Parking-$50
Phone -$50
Internet- $60
Daycare- $400- 500/ month

My family doctor is a nice Nigerian who has been here for a while.

As @headstone mentioned a lot of Naijas live around Pembina/ University of Manitoba so also around St Mary/St Vital/ Waverly/Downtown. U have rarely hear of crime in all these areas I mentioned except for downtown.

Churches are a way of connecting back to your Nigerian roots in Winnipeg if u so wish, also notes that it comes with the Nigerian way of doing things.

Winnipeg is also gradually waking up to its city status in my opinion as well

Thank u so so so so much.

BROS.. cheesy cheesy

Late response.

Quite on the contrary there's nothing much here to talk about. Life is serene and traffic is light. Here can be considered the Ibadan of Canada. There is a large Nigerian community here. It's not hard to run into a few of them daily. I'm sure i interacted with almost 10 new faces today. A higher proportion of newcomers are provincial nominees so there's a support system in place for them. If you plan on being lowkey and living a normal life, Winnipeg is the place for you. Houses are within the range of 900-1300 for a 2 bedroom apartment (most come with all utilities while some may offer one or two). Cost of living is quite cheap compared to other big cities. Phone/utility bills are less than what i see obtainable in places like ontario or bc. Shaw cable is about $50. Koodo $45 canada wide and 6gb. Transport system is just okay during the day but can be hellish at night, depending on where you go. I hear winter period is very scary. Taxis are not cheap here and few Uber like rideshare services are available. I heard Lyft was planning to come in but were locked out by bureaucracy.
Weather- We've had two snow showers already in September and currently, 8 degrees is a very sunny day at the moment. I beg u, if you don't have a drivers license, please avoid here for now.

Jobs: the job market is not as bouyant as the other provinces so they're about a few jobs here and there. A search on linkedin or glassdoor will reveal this to you. Nigerians here are mostly childcare/support worker/ Security and don't be suprised if that is the first avenue they push you to. I'm not saying we don't have Nigerians in the white collar workforce- infact many but based on what i've seen here, more are on survival than white collar. They're living their own realities and those ive interacted with are happy with it. Multiple shifts, own cars and a mortgage - That's the Nigerian dream. If you keep your head up and patiently sift through the job market, you'll get something, maybe not in your field but more meaningful. The're also call centers, education assistant gigs, pharmacies, logistic firms here and so is skip the dishes. If you plan on settling proper with minimal funds, i think its easy to find foot here. Put in the regular work and you may see yourself owning your home in about 5 years or less. Mortgage is not as backbreaking as Toronto et al. Another good side is if you're working towards acquiring a certification or further your studies, winnipeg is a place to laylow, settle in then buzz out. The plan of most newcomers is to get here, settle down and break out including yours truly. The only hindering factor for them is they have to pay their provincial dues of sitting in here for at least two years even though I know a few renegades who have damned the consequences. For an urban setting, winnipeg may be quite boring.

Food. Lots of African stores here. I dey carry eba, poundo, rice go office on a steady. I can even say I eat Nigerian meals almost all the time. Shebi na we dey cook am. the only thing i'm not yet totally used to is this $30 haircut sad.

Funfact: Yoruba may be the second most spoken language after English and maybe hindu.

2. Most Nigerians live around Pembina/ University of Manitoba area.

It's quite hard keeping up with home if you have a 9-5 job, the 6hr difference can be a pain in the butt.

Plan on getting your car as soon as possible if you get here. WINTER IS COMING!

Should you chose to come here, visit Manitoba start for post arrival services.

That is a brief first hand summary of my three month experience here. Mehn today is month 3 sha.

wow..... thanks and God bless you

There's a lot of info on Calgary on this thread, but I'm sure someone will still step forward to provide you feedback.

People in Manitoba hardly give any feedback. There's very little info on Winnipeg/Manitoba online (not only on this thread). My theory is that their fingers are frozen or they are too busy shoveling snow. They usually share info before arriving, then they share landing gist. After that they disappear.

Or when they leave Manitoba for one reason or the other they become active again.

You could do a search of the thread. But start from Page 113, GS put some links on life in Calgary and Winnipeg.
