Congrats to you Seun. I was quite happy to see this about you online. You have always been passionate with anything you decide to go into. All the best ![]() |
Huh? ***spreads mat*** ![]() |
okezie007:I got you clearly sir but my hands are tied as I can't tell you certain parts of my own story. The obvious truth is that coming to Qatar isn't really a do-it-yourself thing like the case of UAE. Talking about agents is not allowed on this thread and I choose to interact with people (to a very large extent) here only. You can read back on the thread if you have the time and serious about it. You can also click on my username to view some details I have shared in the past on Qatar. All the best sir ![]() |
@Okezie007 Ermm...apologies I can't do what you seem to be asking me to do sir ![]() cantona2015:I would like to hear the details of your story if you don't mind sharing sir. Virtually everyone comes here with a work visa that specifies a job description they know nothing about. It's possible to stay here for a while without securing a job but were you promised to actually work with the company that processed your work visa? |
Teeboy22:Greetings sir. How's your end? ![]() okezie007:Hmm...that's not completely true. What you will get from the agent is a visa. Although it's a work visa, you won't actually be working with that company when you get here. You will have to find another one yourself. This issue as been addressed severally on this thread so you can take the pain to read back ![]() fohiss:This is a joke, right? ![]() |

cantona2015:I'm speaking from the angle of sending money to Nigeria sir. I don't know what is obtainable over there in the UAE but if I walked into any Xpressmoney office this moment with Dihrams, that's the naira equivalent I'd get. Same goes for Qatar riyals. ![]() Dollar was 313 when I checked earlier this morning. The rates are heading north again now though |
saheedo40:Seriously? They should ask or call you and you posted a Nigerian phone number. Just wait...magic will soon happen ![]() |
justi4jesu:Okay, so I give you 1 naira and you give me 60 dihrams? ![]() |
justi4jesu:I suspected you didn't get the point I was trying to make. Why would I want to cash out dirhams if I live in the UAE...well maybe for business reasons probably. The point is that for someone sending money to Nigeria, the crash is very sudden. If you promised someone in Nigeria 50k naira in Nigeria earlier this morning with the plan that less than 600 dihrams would take of it on your own end, you suddenly find yourself having to shell out almost a thousand to cover for the same amount within a space of 1 hour. As for the offer you just made, do you really mean 60 dihrams to 1 naira? |
justi4jesu:I can send from here directly into a Nigerian bank account with Xpressmoney. The rates on their website is usually the exact thing they charge when I go to the outlet to do the transfer. ![]() I have checked other websites too just to be sure I'm not the one on Mars ![]()
|
justi4jesu:LOL...madam Justi, seriously, have you checked the exchange rates this morning? Maybe I've been kidnapped by aliens...but I'm actually in my office I use xpressmoney. Which website/currency converter do you use? |
Whatever 'magic' that happened within a space of 1 hour to the strength of the Naira is still a surprise. 1 Dirham is now 54 naira. 1 Qatar Riyals now 55 naira from around 87 Naira That said, it's obvious that Nigeria can actually work if we can get our acts together. |
nattybanta:I wish I can say the same for myself. A case in point...how do you want me to enjoy waking up in the morning, log into Nairaland and see the news that Ali-Modu Sheriff is now PDP chairman? Not enjoyable at all |
nattybanta:I didn't even know the budget was missing at that time. I sometimes try to avoid reading Nigerian news so I had no hand in the missing budget ![]() |
nattybanta:Yes sir. Noting much as changed about that...only the cost that keeps defying the law of gravity. The one for Nigerian females has become completely ridiculous especially in this era of 70 naira to 1 riyal ![]() |
Happy New Year everyone. Wish you all a blessed year ![]() |
michaelcu:Try and search the thread sir |
nattybanta:Ha! invitation? I didn't know I needed one to peep ![]() |
nattybanta: Teeboy22:@Nattybanta ![]() Why the shock sir? How have u been? Trust u are fine. @Teeboy Fine sir. How have u been too sir? I've been swamped with work for while...moving from one place to another. ![]() Happy Eid to everyone ![]() |
*peep* |
smithsydny:I believe u are new here sir. Ur posts 'sounded' like there was a specific part/website u needed help with. That was why I asked what u needed help with. That said, u can read back on my posts to get the information u need on how to go about it. |
BrTune:Buy an envelope and keep the naira notes inside. ![]() |
smithsydny:I know it's health and safety. Be more specific... website link precisely |
hustla:Yes and no. Yes in a general sense of what the software can be used for in themes of software development or other I.T stuffs like that. No because in these parts, the demand is more related to the construction industry. As for the IT/customer service job part of ur post, I think u are mixing my comments up with comments by people based in the U.A.E |
samhay: smithsydny:Which online safety courses are u trying to get help for sirs? |
Taiwotasungo:Funny you asked the same thing. My brother said exactly the same thing until he arrived about a week ago. He knows better now ![]() Visit some deep parts of the north east to have an idea of the heat here ![]() |
ugsams:Wish U the very best with the status thing. As for the weather, thank GOD the humidity levels are dropping gradually. I understand ur point on work. I was telling my cousin just yesterday how I felt about my current job. Some jobs would make u feel like u have been kidnapped. The rich gulf nations are not really feeling the heat. They've saved billions over the years to absorb these kind of plunge for quite a long time. Wish we could say the same for Nigeria . Life is ok... always pushing for better deals out there as u know ![]() |
elijahdre:Thanks sir. Can't wait to lay me hands on that device...it's been a long time coming ![]() |
x3da:Yes sir. I planned to update you once I had it in my hands. I eventually got it for 54k but I bought a lot of other things along with it from him. I'm not sure the price will apply if you are just purchasing that one item from him. That said, even he confesses that the tablet is a perfect choice. He's been speaking so highly of it since he got it in his hands eventhough he tried to convince me to buy something else from the start ![]() |
