Cjman685:Depends on the type of visit visa. For example, if u are a female and came on a husband or sibling family sponsored visit visa, u may get a job with a school where they are can apply for a work visa for u. On the flip side, that won't apply to a male. There are also some types of visit / conference visas that u can't use to change to a work visa. I mentioned conference visa because this is what some agents use to bring people here in the name of them getting a work visa after they secure a job. Another angle to ur question is that the job market is quite discouraging now. Not trying to discourage u but just telling u what's on ground at the moment |
chiMoni37:What sort of visa are u coming with if I may ask? The certificates would need to be attested in Nigerian foreign ministry and education ministry. Also, for university degree or any above secondary school certificates, u will need a complete transcript and a letter from the institution to back up the certificate before it would be attested here. Wish u all the best |
osadebamen1:1. Next to impossible 2. There's no fake mostly because it can be confirmed directly on the government website 3. If there's a valid visa, there's no issue. If there's no visa, the person won't board from wherever in the 1st place. 4. Get the visa first. There's no exact figure for the visa but it's not cheap if at all possible |
Desammy:Can't put an exact figure but it won't be cheap |
osadebamen1:Feel free to ask your questions sir |
jimfarayola:Does she have a visa yet? If not, I'd advice she shouldn't keep all her eggs in one basket for now cos of visa issues. If she has a way of getting here already then she can do the exams here that allows her to practice and apply around |
Nnemuka:He can check and apply for jobs online but the chances of getting them via that route is extremely slim. Best way is to hit the ground physically which is quite hard now as the visas are next to impossible. My advice is for him to focus his energy and resources on other productive things while he keeps trying whatever option he decides to pick for Qatar. |
RealityShot:Hmm... I get ur point sir. *cringes* |
RealityShot:He'd have to hand it over to you physically, right? You just turn it down lol |
RealityShot:Drug trafficker? U lost me there |
RealityShot:If u want to explore the option with him, make sure u are very convinced with proofs that that visa is readily available sir. Proceed (if u must) with extreme caution |
America001:Apologies sir. Qatar is fine sir. The embargo is still in place. Even Saraki came to beg but the picture from the meeting said it all for anyone smart enough to decipher Trust u are fine sir |
nattybanta:Yes sir. I'm fine sir. How are u and ur family doing too sir? ![]() |
America001:Although the summer heat is upon us, we are more determined than the sun ![]() Nothing much to respond to here for a long time as regards Qatar and the UAE has been over-saturated for a long while so I don't check in here often. Trust u are fine ![]() |
Ijiimmayi:You are welcomed ![]() |
Ijiimmayi:I believe you must be licensed to practice where you are coming from with the right certificates. You will then need to do a particular exam here - Prometric exam. That's what I know. You can check here for more information http://www.qchp.org.qa/en/Pages/QualifyingExamination.aspx Apologies for the late response |
Ijiimmayi:Feel free to post them. I'd check in here more often to answer you as best as I can. |
Folafikemi:Qatar has been discussed in here a couple of times. You can check the previous threads for answers on questions you may have as they may have been answered already. Discussion on UAE is higher because it's an easier and cheaper option to explore over Qatar. |
Part 3 already Wow!!! |
Teibaba:Okay. Understood ![]() |
AreaFada2:Immigrants are more than double the size of the Qataris. That doesn't mean the natives don't have the passion for the sport. The main thing is about filling up the stadia during the event. Nationality doesn't matter in this case as millions of visitors would troupe into the country for the event. They have invested in sports heavily over many years and I don't feel filling up the stadia would be an issue. They don't need to grant citizenship to fill them up during the event. No wealthy Arab nation grants citizenship easily...not even the UAE AreaFada2:I never said they are more crazy about football than Africans sir . The idea is that they are crazy about the sport to consider sinking billions of dollars into the sport. Not many African (or even European) nation can commit such resources into the sport within a short period of time sir. If you say Qatar is hosting for prestige reasons, do tell which country goes into the bidding without that reason. I dear say every nation that has ever submitted a bid for hosting the world cup, with or without success, did so with the aim of getting some level of prestige. It is a very big way of reminding the world of your nation, culture, people and customs. Japan/South Korea 2002 (you meant) was the 1st time ever of the event being hosted by 2 nations and I honestly feel that's the best you can get from the multiple-nations hosting arrangement. Those two nations have a very high level of discipline and lots of concessions would have been made with a good level of understanding between them with fuss. The middle east region is not so much built that way. Qatar has pursued things independently as much as possible with the resources at its disposal. Nations in that part of the world usually look at things from the angle of their sovereignty. The two also have a quite different immigration system. I doubt even the UAE would wish to share it with Qatar if they had the chance to get it so it's not really about Arab disunity while it may seem so . Let's see how the next joint-hosting arrangement 2026 would turn out especially with the way things are moving in that part of the world. I doubt if that would have happened with a Trump presidency ![]() AreaFada2:Not even loosing out in 4 previous attempts will make Morocco think of sharing it with Algeria The MENA region is an interesting place No doubt the November/December calendar is going to cause some disruptions but that's the coolest time of the year since many people were rightly concerned about the heat and humidity levels within June and July. During this period, people are not even allowed to work under direct sunlight between 11a.m and 3p.m so it would be wrong for safety reasons to fix it around then. Saying it shouldn't have been held in Qatar because of this reason is almost like ruling out the whole region from ever hosting it. AreaFada2:Do you think money didn't have a say in the past events? FIFA will always consider what they will gain alongside other factors. Many countries were just trying to find their way out of the global financial crisis around the time for this bid. I suspect FIFA considered that also . Do business with people who have billions stashed away or people still nursing financial wounds. What are the factors you consider as 'common sense' in this case, please? Is it the weather? That's already addressed. The interest of football? Qatar hosts the world cup, people come and watch, see the country and have a great experience. They go back to their nations and it would boost the sport in the region. More people will take interest in playing in the nation for clubs and so on. Overall, the football spirit is stronger. Let's move on and look forward to a great event sir ![]() |
AreaFada2:That won't be an issue. There won't be empty seats. These Arabs are really crazy about football and they've sunk so much resources into hosting it. These guys are planning the country beyond the world cup and the country is now being opened up. It may even be the most open of the wealthy Arab nations before that time with some plans the government is already working on. These guys think years ahead of even the world cup that's gotten our attention. They have other things they are working up that are more than 10 times bigger than the stadia projects all linked to the world cup and beyond. They are building new cities out of pure deserts in different parts of the country so filling the stadia up won't be a big deal. Asides that, many people are really interested in seeing the 'tiny' nation and that world cup would probably be their only chance ![]() |
Teibaba:The later part of your point is a joke right? ![]() Just in case you are serious about it, it's going to be mixed feelings for many Nigerians that will be opportune to witness the 2022 World Cup live. So many people will return back home with so much hate for how Nigeria has managed its resources for so many years. The construction sites are enough to move one to tears when you discover the efforts that's been put into hosting the event. The whole thing is so serious that it's causing serious bad envy even from neighbouring wealth nations. The Qataris do know how to make nations and people go green with envy with their touch ![]() |
somehow:Khalifa stadium has been completed for the event since last year. It was used as a fan zone during the just finished World Cup with over 85,000 viewers that visited during the tournament ![]() |
nattybanta:Hello Oga Natty. How are things on ur end of the desert? Ramadan kareem ![]() |
gamaliel9:Niggas? ![]() Well, there have been several posts on the Qatar side of things here over the years. If u have any queries on qatar, drop them and wait for people to respond...maybe not from niggas though ![]() |
ozycy:I'm not aware of a thread dedicated to tourism exclusively. People come in here to ask questions about tourism once in a while. If u have any such queries, I'm sure people will try and help out. On a lighter note, everyone trying to leave are also going for "tourism". The only thing is they are looking to stay for years and earn money while at it. ![]() |
gamaliel9:Qatar is not easy to access like the UAE hence the difference. Since the UAE is an easier and cheaper option, it is only normal to get more questions and discussions on that part of the thread ![]() |
*peep* Always an interesting read ![]() |
3kay945:I imagine after mentioning it in the office, u ever offer anyone from there a ride in the car . Someone may even fear that the steering can be controlled remotely ![]() Do share other incidents ![]() |
3kay945: ![]() I knew I'd laugh my head off in this thread |
