elijahdre:This is quite interesting...ok let's calculate the total of my discount sir ![]() |
suurutu:Madam, be very careful. Don't fall victim of certain type of openings that will end up caging you. Sorry for the late reply. I know you have a lot of questions and want the replies fast. I will make an exception with you...but your name is scary ![]() |
suurutu:Lol @ story that touch. He's more or less your husband already madam. . Okay now to possible solutions on this issue. You are even lucky you get to see him twice in a year. Some people here have not seen their wives in years. That's not to say it's a good thing. Just trying to let you see that your position is far better as it's quite obvious your ![]() |
@ Ugsams Good to hear from you sir. I understand that feeling of people looking up to you because you are on ground to make things happen for them in some ways but at the end, the result doesn't come close to their/your expectations. If you have a mid/high cadre profession on your I.D, you may not need to get a visa before coming from there. Same way they do for us here. They have all the professions grouped in different categories with certain perks and benefits. Overall, it's quite easier for people from UAE to visit. At least I know that for other nationalities. I think someone mentioned here recently he/she visited Qatar from your end. How's work and life treating you generally over there? The fall in oil prices isn't helping the job market. Do something about it ![]() |
suurutu:Calm down madam. Your username even scares me . Honestly, you need to be very patient before ignorance will lead you down a route you are not supposed to take. To start with, the fact that he even suggested maybe you get a Ghanaian passport shows that he truly wants you to come over. Many people change their passport (not just Nigerians) to gain access into the country. No one here said people are getting Qatar visa the way you are making it sound. At least 95% of the posts from people who made a trip out of Nigeria from this thread here went to UAE and not Qatar. The visa is hard to get and your fiancé is absolutely correct on that. It took me 1 and a half years to get Nigerian male visa for my brother at a ridiculous cost too if I may add. Same time I was on that, a woman was trying to get for her daughter from the same company and she even started the processing before mine. She also paid about 5k riyals more than mine also. I'm saying this so that you don't take any harsh decisions thinking your fiancé is playing smart. This place is not easy to access and asides that, the decision of bringing one's wife here is very expensive to execute and sustain so give him time and see things the way they really are. It's good he's working but it goes beyond that to have you come over and live here too. His monthly running cost alone will increase by 150% at least every month so consider that also. |
basit322:Yes and No...Yes because it can be gotten via certain means though very expensive...No because officially, it's still on lock down sort of |
elijahdre:This transaction is shaping out nicely as usual...the arrival of the main gadget will crown it all. Thanks sir ![]() |
Harjibode:Okay sir. That sounds great. No problem about that. I can share whatever little knowledge I have on it too when the time comes sir. Review on what sir? I advice you remove your email address before you attract unnecessary attention ![]() |
Harjibode:It's better we discuss here for certain reasons sir. Feel free to ask any question and I will answer to the best of my knowledge sir. ![]() Neyoalao:Hmmm...okay sir...just a quick recap. You need to get a visa obviously. The 5 years work visa is the most appropriate for such a move as you have enough time to explore all the opportunities on ground without the pressure of running out of your allowed stay period in the country. You need a contact here for either a work or visit visa in reality. MSc in Environmental what exactly if you don't mind me asking sir? Generally, anything environmental also can be applied to Quality control and QHSE as a whole too. People like you can specialize on monitoring the effects of carrying out work activities that can have negative impact on the environment if not done appropriately. On some projects, there's even a designated person in the HSE department for environmental violations/issues. Bottom line is that you can build yourself on QA/QC or QHSE quite easily. There's even a special NEBOSH course designed for Environmental Safety. You can click on my username and trace back through my posts from the past to get more information. That will help you sieve out the derailing stuffs sir. Hope this helps ![]() |
x3da:You are welcomed sir. Yes, that official keyboard is a must truly. I also intend to get a Microsoft Universal Keyboard for it. Getting mine this month. ![]() |
x3da:Okay...55k...maybe a little discount if you can convince him ![]() |
x3da:He's gotten to back to me on the Chuwi sir |
elijahdre:Thanks sir Just saw this one now. I will also update the other person ![]() |
akwunmi:This is someone who's been tracking the launch of this phone and discovered it may blow its mates out of the water! ![]() |
ohans4u:Follow Blackchampion's pointer sir. You will get more than enough answers from a 'little ddigging' ![]() Blackchampion:Thanks for pointing him in the right direction. If only people know how 'rich' this thread is ![]() |
ken1982:Work and visit visas |
ken1982:You'd have to get a visa ![]() |
jayooh:You can try and apply from Nigeria but the thing is how will your level of competence be tested by the company before they go through all the process of visa application, etc which isn't easy if I may add? |
x3da:No problem sir. I'm still in talks with Mr. Elijahdre. He can get the 32gb model right away if that's what you are interested in but it's the 64gb model that he's working on for me. The Teclast is good but Chuwi has more and better ports than it. It also seems of all the chinese tabs, only the USB Chuwi ports can power an external hard drive properly. Others would likely require you to power the external hard drive from the power outlet separately. |
x3da:Oh ok. I haven't gotten a response yet on the 64gb model sir. Although he did confirm the 32gb for me before now but I prefer to get the 64gb due to the dual OS thing |
terrywales:Is this a joke? Flee!!!!!!!!! ![]() |
Curiouscat:I understand every point you made sir. Makes you feel like just packing your bags and leave really most times. The YouTube isn't as easy as it sounds because you will need the foundation knowledge to even know what to search for. There's also a sequence of learning the software and the lectures/training would guide you in a way through that. You will find tons of videos on YouTube but if you can afford it, it's better to go for the training also. I don't know about SAGE ERP but I'm very sure of the prospects of SAP in these parts. The person I know about was doing something related to supply chain management with it at the time. You can also check job sites in the middle east to even see the salaries range for these positions. Yes he did...he used to complain of nothing to really spend the money in his location. |
Curiouscat:Lol...your username is a good insurance for you . I'd heard/seen the word 'Primavera' about 10 years ago if I'm not mistaken but I didn't do any exploration on it. I just assumed it was a software used by people in architects and construction engineers. I was right to that point but I was also wrong because I didn't make good use of that knowledge by digging deep. Why am I saying this? Don't pass on anything that can add good value to you. I agree that 165k sounds high but how is it high compared to the opportunities it will bring you? It's not as expensive here actually. The course costs between 1500-2000 riyals depending on where you take it and your negotiating skills. Even then, when you have start earning 500k, 750k and more in a month, you won't remember that at all. The course is just to give you a foundation knowledge. You can't be an expert in the software within the duration of the course. You have to find time to watch Youtube videos and read other materials. The good thing is that you don't even need up to 30% knowledge of the software to land a good offer. Now to what you said you already have knowledge of. It's good you have a good knowledge of something like this. There's a good mix of accounting in Primavera too as you have to generate, calculate, assign and monitor costs of materials, manpower, equipments and other resources. That said, you can also choose to develop yourself in SAP. That's another high level software expertise that's real hot in the market. It's more expensive to learn and build on from the little knowledge I have on it but I know at least one person who earns crazy wages/benefits from it in the middle east. Just to give you an idea, he could afford to rent a Ferrari/Lamborghini (can't remember the exact one) out of boredom The bottom line of my long 'epistle' is that nothing that develops you is too expensive. Build on whatever knowledge you can because you don't know when it will come in handy ![]() |
x3da:Hello sir. You tried to send me a message. Anything I can help you with? ![]() |
combatant2015:Hello sir. You tried to send me a message sometimes ago. The thread is now locked. That's why I'm reaching you here. Anything I can help you with? |
Lstar4real:That's interesting. This version is quite elusive. What's the version of the two OSs on it? Have they started shipping with Win 10 and Andriod 5.0? Also, what other things are included in the cost price? Thanks |
elijahdre:This is a reminder sir |
ken1982:I'm not saying it's directly related to HSE. Primavera opens the door to a whole lot of other possibilities. It's almost like developing a new career path. Depending on which background a person is coming from, the person can relate with it in one way or the other. From the biggest construction project you can think of physically to something as abstract, vague or intangible as a new software idea to be developed, Primavera covers them all. You can monitor everything in the process. From costs, manpower and resource management to risks and monitoring, the software can be used to design the template from start to finish. Let me stop...seems I''m getting carried away lol . I believe Mr. Success can enlighten us more on this ![]() nattybanta:Honestly, if you have the opportunity and means to do so, don't miss it. There are a whole lot of opportunities out their but the problem with Nigeria is we don't have access to good information. It will be unfortunate if someone then leaves Nigeria, discover these things and don't make good use of them. |
success10:Okay cool. Yes, there are very good opportunities for project planners and engineers right now. Honestly, with the skills you say you have, you are good to go if you can add a good knowledge of Primavera. Companies will be fighting over you Microsoft Excel and computation knowledge are very vital skills to have for the software. Most planners do their work in Excel then import into Primavera. The software itself looks like Microsoft Excel in some ways but way more complex and almost unlimited to what you can do with it. I still wonder how the software could be so deep and **lost for the right word**. It's all very interesting as you get to explore whole projects in your head (and PC) to the minutest details ![]() |
ken1982:***covers face*** ![]() success10:That's different from the one by PMI, right? Any certification is okay for starters as far it's from a reputable institution but the main thing is the level of performance in terms of practicability. The PMI one is most recognized in these parts but even then, many people don't have that. The people I know who work as Project Planners haven't gone for PMP lectures talkless of certification. They only went for Primavera software trainings, watched lots of youtube videos and landed good offers. ![]() billyjunior:Pls, don't thank me sir. We are all here to help each other with any information we have. Waiting to hear from you. |
ken1982:Obviously that's what everyone says. Reminds me of the gist about a politician who just became a local government chairman. Some people brought some raw cash to him (about a million if I remember correctly) for whatever purposes and when they opened the bag, he collapsed . I don't know how true it is but the story went round several years ago in Nigeria. Jokes apart, this is a DIY thread. You can read back in the previous thread to catch up on the information. ![]() |
