Religion / Re: Is Polygamy A Sin In Christianity? by Dreamkiller: 4:27am On Sep 11, 2018
Men are more prone to diseases and illnesses than women; men are exposed to war and battle, and to dangers.

Many men die in battles, wars and natural disasters – many, many numbers of men pass away in this manner.

So women are left behind, single and no longer married. So plural marriage alleviates this difficulty in society without doubt.

It is known that in society (generally speaking) there are more women than men so these woman are deprived of marriage and they remain single and celibate resulting in harm and difficulty upon them.

if everyman should get married to one woman then they'll still be women remaining, then who's going to marry the remaining women.

obrigado080:
Can you share your wife with different men? I guess no...

Then why should different women share one husband?

I asked a question is polygamy a sin? you didn't answer me.
I even gave bible portions that supports it.

in polygamy you have friends built into the family...you're never alone!

Help with the chores, babysitting, and etc. It's not for everyone but it is for some people.
Religion / Is Polygamy A Sin In Christianity? by Dreamkiller: 3:53am On Sep 11, 2018
polygamy is necessary to give unmarried women a chance at marriage. because to me I believe women are the ones searching for husbands than men.

if you go to some churches you'll understand what I mean, you see women that are not married praying for God's intervention in their lives.

There's no place in the bible that stops any Christian from having more wives because people in the Bible were polygamous and every woman had a husband.

Even in the bible a widow was allowed to marry someone that had a wife already.

Zachariah who was serving in God's temple, the father of John the Baptist had two wives.

polygamy is not in anyway ones standard of holiness.

Exodus 21vs10 proves that a man can marry as many woman as he wants.

in Deuteronomy 21 vs 15 even gives a law concerning polygamy that says; "If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons...."

2 Samuel 12:8
8. I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms . I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more .

GOD Almighty here supposedly says that He gave to David Saul's wives, and GOD would have even given him more wives if he (David) wanted.

Matthew 22:24-28 , Jesus did not prohibit at all for the childless widow to marry her husband's brother, even if here were
already married . Instead, Jesus replied to them by saying that we do not marry at the resurrection (before Judgment), and we will be like angels in heaven ( Matthew 22:30 ).

If Jesus, during his stay on earth in that Jewish culture, allowed for a widow to marry her former husband's brother, even if he were already married , then this negates the Christians' claim about the Bible prohibiting polygamy. A man can be one flesh with more than one woman. In the case of Matthew 22:24-28 , the man can be one flesh with his wife, and one flesh with his deceased brother's wife. Also keep in mind that
Exodus 21:10 allows a man to marry an infinite amount of women, and
Deuteronomy 21:15 allows a man to marry more than one wife.

conclusion: it's better to marry another wife rather than commit adultery.

please if you have your reasons state below and tell me why Christians should not practice polygamy.

Igbos are the ones begging for positions in government,b egging to be given Biafra, begging begging begging, talking about how they've been marginalized but not looking inward. The problem is low birth rate, family planning contraceptives that is filled in Igbo land. The truth is you can't get biafra, you can't get the beautiful Igbo land that you all dream of.
you all need to start doing something about your birth rate. if you were the majority or if your birth rate wasn't dropping at a faster rate, will you be begging?

you need an people. you all need people to fight for you. If you have a good population. you would never have been ignored by any government.

you would've been the one in the government.

Politics / Breaking News: Government Declares Tuesday 11th Public Holiday by Dreamkiller: 2:35am On Sep 11, 2018
Osun Government has announced Tuesday as public holiday to commemorate the new Islamic year, 1440 after the Hijrah.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Adebisi Obawale, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, on Monday in Osogbo. Obawale said Gov. Rauf Aregbesola’s administration had since inception celebrated Hijrah as a public holiday.

He urged Muslims and people of different faiths to imbibe the lessons of the Hijrah by abstaining from sinful practices for a new life and conduct that would add value to the state and the country at large.

Obawale also enjoined residents of the state to continue to live in harmony and peace, with religious tolerance and understanding.

He said, “the government wishes Muslims in the state and across the world a happy New Year celebration and enjoins residents of the state to continue living harmoniously and peacefully with religious tolerance and understanding.

“As we enter the Islamic New Year, we must not only celebrate but also strive, as part of what Allah commands us, to internalise the lessons and essence of the Hijrah as exemplified by the uncommon patience and endurance of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the face of hardship. “We pray, and there is no doubt that the New Year would usher the state into another era of economic prosperity, stability and peace and continuation of good governance.’’

Obawale also urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peaceful conduct of Sept. 22 governorship election in the state. He commended Islamic faithful for their unalloyed support to the administration since inception and urged them not to relent.

It kind of bothers me when someone supporting saraki wil be branded an ipob or ipob, when saraki is a yorubaman from the middlebelt with fulani blood and a hausa name. I hope you look at the nigerian map and see where kwara is located then find location of the south east in that same map too so you can see how foolish you have become.
