Intention means what you want to happen with your recitation or the reason you are doing the recitation. Whenever you are performing ruqyah, you must have have in mind what exactly you want the recitation to acheive. It could be that you want to make it cause harm to the possessing spirits, or to send them out or to push their luggages out (yes they live in human with thier luggages such as sponges, bucket, utensil etc) or to block thier passages. Recitation could also be used to destroy sihr (sorcery, black magic etc). The ruqyah does exactly what it is intended to do.

The reciter must know what he is doing and what he wants to achieve. I dont want to emphasise piety because I can't say that about myself and i still do ruqyah. A raqi should observe all the Islamic etiquettes as much as possible.

As regards jinn possessing a believer, in my own little experience, it is possible. We all make mistakes. Our conscoiusness ( faith, fear of Allah) increases and sometimes decreases.

My advise is that we do ruqyah on ourselves periodically.

Ok so.. Basically, I don't know how to read Arabic but I have been watching lots of tutorials on Youtube on how to read the Quran.

As Allah will have it, within three months I have made progress and now I can read still stuttering though and not to perfection but at least its progress for me.

Been reading the 1st -3 pages of Sura Baqarah of late at home... every morning.

This morning something strange happened after Fajr prayer, returned home and did my normal routine of reading 1st -3 pages of Sura Baqarah,

After checking updates on my fone. I wanted to take a short nap before going to work.

Been up since 4 am. felt tired and ready to doze off but immediately I tried too- not up to 5mins!... I felt something holding me back really hard from sleeping...

Also Felt my face frowning in a shitty way( totally not by my doing)...or like an image frowning really hard and ugly.. as if I was the one on the other end but it was not. ( totally not by my doing)

my neck felt tight,... I was resisting the awkward feeling AT FIRST and just thinking to myself .. whatever u are... u better live me... na die we go die and we will all be judged by ALLAH.

I FELT a little bit in control and wanted to sha just take my nap jejely... Felt the same feeling again.. being held back the second time

This time... I kept uttering auzu billahi mina shaytan rajim

The reality is this when situations occur and you get close to people, the people you think ought to know basics about religion don't really know jack, they just follow their sheik and imams without going back to research themselves. It's bad

I respect people especially people with knowledge. Islamic knowledge the more but that doesn't mean, I won't go back and research on the things you told me.

We are humans nobody is perfect.

I think you are still saying the same thing. Let me rephrase. Let's say you joined imam on second rakah of isha. You missed first one right?.

You completed entire salah from second rakah with imam. You did 2 tashahud and 1 taslim but you forgot to stand up and make up first rakah you missed, right?.

You remembered quickly after teslim and then you made two sujud and then you made teslim again?. Am I right?

Reflect on this hadith. I think this is your situation.



Narrated Abdullah bin Buhaina (RA): Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) once led us in Salat and offered two raka’at and got up (for the third raka’at) without sitting (after second raka’at, for At-Tahhiyat). The people also got up with him, and when he was about to finish his Salat, we waited for him to finish the Salat with Taslim, but he said Takbir before Taslim and performed two prostrations (sujud) while sitting and then finished the Salat with Taslim.

If i understand you, you already made up first rakah you missed but you are concerned about tashahud, correct?. So in total you made two tashahud?. It is correct. Although there is ikhtilaf as to whether to make tashahud the third time. Far as i know, you know, there is no need to make tashahud the third time. Just say your salamo after sujud. Your salat is valid

no no.. I totally missed the first rakat and joined the imam in the second rakat then forgot and made teslim with the imam... Only remembered afterwards immediately after saying the teslim.

I dint get up to make the missed rakat because I have already said teslim with the imam.

What I did was made two prostration and I dint do 3rd tashud for this ( think another mistake on my part) and said 2nd teslim.

Sir I won't lie u I became confused afterwards.

I wanted to just redo the prayer on my own but I remembered an hadith about not repeating prayer up and down base on insecurities... I made nawafil.

I av prayed Isha already.

May Allah s. w. t accept all our prayers

Just for next time sir...correct me
