PoliticsRe: Pro-biafra Agitators ‘ve No Mandate To Speak For Igbo – Onyeama, Foreign Affairs by drfk001(m): 12:59pm On Nov 04, 2016
I like what the minister said and it's common sense. If you want to agitate for Biafra, then you must seek the mandate of the people and this can be done in a democratic setting by forming a political party with a campaign agenda of seeking for independence, when and if your party members are elected into parliament, you can then fight for the right to hold a referendum in which those concerned can seek for self determination.
This is what is obtainable in civil societies like SNP in Scotland, the Popular front in France, the regional government of Catalonia.
Apart from following that which is democratically acceptable, those agitating are not only wasting their time but also risking their lives.

I doubt you are even a Christian that even knows the spiritual and scriptural significance of tithing...like the herd that attends your church you pay tithes because like a herd you toe the line ahead irrespective of where the line leads...Your few words stink of anger, hate and defiance of the truth...
Continue rubbing your condescending as*s, I didn't ask you to assess if am a Christian, and your opinion counts for zero
Oga spiritual, what did the Bible talk about judging people. You smell of fanaticism, you have no business trying to make me view Christianity from your point of view

Wow, what a thinking...Look at this plausible and possible scenario. Imagine an ISIS terrorist gets into the country and pretends to be a Christian, attends pastoral school (afterall thieves that steal from the offering box also attended pastoral school), and heads the branch of a denomination. Now according to you, you will pay your tithes with no regard for what your tithes are being used for but now you risk paying your tithe to an ISIS terrorist who will use the finance from yours and other spiritually blind followers' tithes and offering and use it to build a network of bombs carefully planted in secret locations in several denominations across the state...In the end your tithe would have contributed to the loss of the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and your tithes definitely do not go to God!

So be wise. Give as you are led by the Holy Ghost! It is then and only then that your giving will go to God as a living sacrifice acceptable to the LORD as your reasonable service.
if you are a terrorist or your church has links with Isis, that's your business, I pay my tithe to my church and it's not your business

The answer is that tithing is not the New Testament
standard for giving. Perhaps more than any other
factor, giving reflects the condition of our hearts:
“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be
also” ( Matt. 6:21 ). You can fake some things, but
you can’t fake giving your money! You may get mad
at me, but I’m going to give it to you straight: If you
give ten percent or less of your income to the
Lord’s work, in most cases it reflects a lukewarm
heart toward God. I used to give ten percent and
thought I was doing fine. Then I made the mistake
of preaching on giving! I discovered that God’s
Word teaches that ...
We should not tithe because God wants us to give
generously, and tithing is the bare minimum.
Our God is a generous, giving God who so loved
the world that He gave that most precious gift, His
only begotten Son. “For you know the grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for
your sake He became poor, that you through His
poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9 ). As God’s
people who are to be like Jesus, we are to be
generous givers.
The Bible teaches that God, who richly has supplied
us with all good things, wants us “to be generous
and ready to share” (1 Tim. 6:18 ).
now my question for you is ,did you do it as an obligation or out of the generosity of your heart.
My friend there is no reason for me to be mad at you, it's a civil discussion provided no one is throwing insults.
To the point you raised, I actually feel challenged by your statement concerning tithe being the minimum, Guess I have to upgrade but according to the measure of grace given to me, I personally still believe in the special offering called "Tithe". However, am grateful for the challenge to do more in giving both in church and to people while still maintaining my tithe. God bless

Am a Christian, and am proud to pay my tithe to my church. whatever the church uses it to do is not my business, I paid my tithe to God and I look up to God for the blessings that follow and he has never failed. I rep St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ojo-Alaba

the new testament scripture u posted talks about people working in the church eating from things of the church... i have no problem with the offerings.. my problem is the tithe they are preaching as lies... tithe was for d Israelites and it was only in Canaan... so show me proof that i am an Israelite and we are in Canaan and the pastors are levites and money was tithed... then I'll believe
I get your point but I just want to ask if you believe any other thing in the OT since you are not an Israelite nor are you in canaan

During my student days at the university of Ibadan in 2008, my room was directly above the mosque in Nnamdi Azikwe hall. one morning, I was awake during the early morning prayer so I could hear them from my room. The sermon I heard that day was scary, it was totally out of place and outright fanatical. I was scared that the students would arise from their prayer ground and attack Christians. To be frank also, some pastors preach anti-islam messages too which should not be so

Everyone should be free to have their own set of beliefs without anyone calling people infidels or unbelievers
Nairaland GeneralFacebook Suppress Scheme Used By Bloggers by drfk001(op): 1:52pm On Aug 06, 2016
Facebook has developed a technology to detect and remove so called clickbait topics used commonly by bloggers. Clickbait might not sound familiar but surely, this sounds familiar "OMG see what a man did to his wife".

Many Nigerian bloggers do that to direct more traffic to their blogs but unfortunately, some of these stories turn out to be false. Personally, I think its due.
what do you think??

So I have been noticing a disturbing trend in my neighborhood. Some schools in the my area, OJo Alaba have been using their pupils for rallies and awareness for their schools. I wonder if the schools actually collect consent from the parents because these children are made to be dance by the road side plus exposing them to the risk of accidents.

I observed one today while at work so I made a video and posted it on YouTube

This is a strange but true life story that I want to share with everyone.

Last month, my friend's ex girl friend called me and explained how she was feeling with her body. After her explanation,I asked her when was the last time she treated malaria, and she said it was 2 weeks back, and she even used a potent anti- malaria drug which made me believed what was wrong with her was beyond malaria.

The whole scenario came to a head when she told me she was rushed back home from work the next day after she fainted and threw up. I told her she needed to run a comprehensive lab test, so as to ascertain what was really wrong with her,and she asked if she can make use of our medical centre for her lab test, which I accepted in the affirmative. The test later revealed she was a month old pregnant.

I asked her who was the guy responsible, because we are really very close and she finds it hard to hide her secrets from me. She told me it was a guy she met once and they both had sex together that night, and unfortunately, the guy is in UK now and he doesn't pick her calls anymore. I told her to make sure she get across to him so that she can convey the message to him,she said she doesn't even know what to do,that his number is still not going through, even when I asked her 2days after. She told me all this on bbm.

At a point in time, her number wasn't going through and her pings were also not delivering,I was scared cos she is just 22 yrs old and she may want to act in a funny way considering the number of negative ideas that would be running through her mind.

Luckily, her she pinged me yesterday evening, I was even surprised when I saw her pings saying 'doctor, gud pm." I replied her and we started chatting.

I then asked her about the pregnancy and she told me she succeeded in aborting it with the help of her cousin who took her to a private hospital in the mainland. That she just can't face the humiliation and disgrace that awaits her in future. It was then she said, 'Doctor,I want to apologize for lying to you,I just don't know how to tell you, there was no guy abroad that impregnated me but this my cousin who helped me with the abortion did'.

At that point,I was shocked, and my phone even fell from my hands. As if I didn't get what she said earlier,I asked her again with deep curiosity, ''who did you say was responsible for your pregnancy?"

She said the same thing that her cousin was responsible. At this point, something was now telling me its as if cousin is another new word or slang use in replacing boy friend. That made me ask her how is the guy her cousin? She said it was her mother's elder sister's son...

I heaved a sigh at the abomination after I heard that. She said even after the successful abortion, that the guy has been sleeping with her regularly, that the last time he slept with her was 2 days ago, and the worst part of it is that she is in madly in love with the guy.

I then asked her if both parents knew about the whole saga, and she said no,that they will kill them if any of their family member gets to find out cos its an abomination.
I told her to try and desist from such act,and get in touch with her pastor immediately for a total and rugged deliverance because the whole thing is evil and there is a spiritual undertone involved in the whole issue.

Since that yesterday she told me this whole scary story,I have been so confused as to what might have led them into such act.

I have it in mind to relay the whole story to my friend because he is also not spared as far as this issue is concerned, because this girl might have been sleeping with his cousin even while she was still dating my friend because they only broke up mid last year.
OP can you do us a favour by telling us where you work and your real name....so everyone would be advised to stay away from you since you lack respect for your patient's medical history

Even Agbaje will confirm you that it cos much to run biz(tax wise) in developed nation of the world.
Bro who told you businesses aren't thriving in other states. This is another problem we have @ state level always blaming the federal government for all the problems. I live and run a business in Lagos, I pay my taxes and levies but all I noticed in my neighborhood from the state government over the last 4 years is patching of a 100m stretch of road. My question is don't my neighborhood deserve more from the government.
