I served in the North and I did not see anything that can tie an Igbo man down in the North. Unfortunately, when we went for census in 2006 and immunization, to my surprise, I met some Igbos in the interior villages that are 50 years behind any village in the Igboland. Look at the poverty index of Nigeria you will see the result of the dedication and hardwork of the Igbos. Even though Lagos is the wealthiest in Nigeria, poverty in all other parts of the south west has draged poverty down deep into the bone marrows of the laziest group of tribalists in Nigeria.
