PoliticsRe: Nigeria Senate Calls On President To Clarify Absence by DrKnow1(m): 4:08pm On Jan 27, 2010
Do you think Yar'Adua is going to write any vacation letter? If he refuses I could smell an impeachment process in the horizon. The senators will get angry. The FEC should not be powerful than the people's Representatives. Besides, the FEC members are not medical experts to know whether the president is medically capable to continue in office. On what criteria did they base their assertion. This is democracy turned bureaucracy.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Senate Calls On President To Clarify Absence by DrKnow1(m): 3:21pm On Jan 27, 2010
Writing a letter at this point is of no use and its not going to change anything. All this move is to keep Jonathan temporarily in power following his masters' seven point agenda. Acting President or Acting for the President does not translate into any substantial shifts in policy. We need a team of medical experts to certify whether Yar'Adua is temporarily or permanently incapacitated as provided in the constitution. This would result in whether Jonathan assumes office as Acting President or as a PRESIDENT WITH FULL AND PERMANENT EXECUTIVE POWERS FOR THE REST OF THE TERM. What we need is a fully mandated President with his own set of agenda.

PoliticsRe: Life Support Machines Arrive Ahead Of Yar’adua by DrKnow1(m): 2:51am On Jan 25, 2010
It was gathered that the charter services aircraft which brought the President’s family could not bring the life-support equipment as planned, due to the huge size of the expensive machines.

Our source said, “A bigger aircraft had to be arranged to fly the machines to Nigeria because the one that brought the children back to Nigeria was small.”

The small aircraft, our correspondents learnt, belongs to a foreign airline that has a Nigerian as its chairman.
Who is paying for all these chartered aircrafts?

Or our dangerous roads. Access road to the East of Nigeria. A death trap, many have lost their lives on these death traps as government officials loot the nation's treasury at will with no mercy.

PoliticsRe: LSHA Gives Fashola Go Ahead To Donate $1M To Haiti by DrKnow1(m): 9:30am On Jan 20, 2010
deliver us:
Ye, it's good that Fashola is showing concern about the devastation[s] but let's ask ourself the question " Would $1million not do good to the poor people leaving in absolute porverty in Lagos or even donate it to some states in Nigeria?" Remember the developed countries have to an extent if not 80% satisfied it's citizens and developed it's infratsructure to cater for the needs of it's people. How much have Nigeria as a country (sorry a country without a president is not a country) DONE? I would like a situation where we invest all our income in building a stronger country with appropriate infrastructure, better security, information technology, rail network e.t.c.

I want to a day where I will be able to travel from Lagos to Abuja, Lagos to PH, Lagos to Maiduguri within 3hrs and back without spending the whole day on deadly roads.
A day where I will wake up in the morning and go to bed at night with constant power supply
A day where I can move freely in northen part of the country without been attacked by some militant and this also applies to niger delta region.

A day where, ?

Oga wake up from your dream,

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why did u wake me up grin grin grin grin[/s]
The rest is rubbish

@poster,

I am sorry but your post is brutal. Why would you single out somebody and start a thread about her because you don't agree with her views. We are all here to post our opinions. , your opinion should be respected, just as mamagee's. There is no need to villify anyone here because of their views, just my 2 cents.

I don't agree with all mamagee's posts, but to start a post asking if anyone would date her is soo uncalled for.
Why not? The poster has every right to ask any freeking question. Why did you jump in like a bleeding gate crashing weed smoker? or you are the devil's advocate. By the way, where is Mama Gee?

RomanceRe: What Do You Do, If People Don't Treat You Right In Life? by DrKnow1(m): 9:57pm On Jan 18, 2010
You have no power over what people do to you because you cannot control their actions. It is what you do to people that matters 'cause you are responsible for your own actions. If you decide to pay people back in their own coins, you might end up being the devil yourself.

You will be surprised that joyriding exists in Abuja like in many other cities of the world. But how could people afford to indulge in such a dangerous senseless act in Nigeria, a country where majority of the people live in poverty.
