The man is a coffee millionaire in Uganda |
What a bunch of pessimists, can you tell me how many people die needlessly everyday from generator fumes and related accidents? or how many lives we have lost in our hospitals due to the incessant power failures in the course of operation. Do you think Nuclear power would be left solely for the Nigerians Government to control? Do you think IAEA just exists for nothing. Nuclear power generation is the only solution and cheaper way of catering for the power needs of our teeming population of 150 million. Though, there are dangers associated with nuclear energy, but its like any other thing. South Africa already have it, even if we refused to have our own in Nigeria, we are still not safe in the event of a nuclear fall-out in South Africa. |
Nigeria is greater than anybody wether living or dead; strong or weak; able or disable; healthy or sick, period. |

Nairaland is not for 419ers. Keep off, Barawo |

oyb:Yeah, I know, but paying for them is no problem at all for me. I can afford doing so. Take a look at my signature or foot-note, Awon kan wa'ye wa jaye ooo, awon kan wa'ye wa sise oooh awon kan wa'ye wa gbowo oooh. I am here to enjoy myself, life is too short, my friend. |
Too much book turns you into mumu |
And they keep telling us that we are not a failed state. |
I left to see if life is better elsewhere and I found this place. I have since made it my home I only have one lifetime to live, so why suffer and waste any moment of it. Anywhere that suits my purpose in life is my home. I am here in the UK enjoying my life - Lovely wife, two lovely kids, well paid job, comfortable house of my own, nice brand new car, good food, good medical care, peace of mind etc etc. So if you don't like me for the life I am living here, you can go and jump in the lagoon, that's not my business, mind you I am still a Naija to the core, its only I don't want to live in a place that is inimical to my absolute well-being; ciao |
The psyche of the average Nigerian had been seriously destroyed including the students. The abnormal has now become normal. What were they going to do the man if he was released to them - lynch him? |
Only three countries in Africa made the list of 40 strongest military in the world Egypt, South Africa and Libya www.globalfirepower.com |

Bunch of loosers |
uktrader:Don't be too quick to judge others since you were not there. He was allegedly labelled a drug dealer. These people would say anything to back up their actions. We are talking about the death of a fellow Nigerian under suspicious circumstances. I bet you won't say the same thing if he was your brother. |
Those calling for splitting Nigeria should learn from history: Splitting India in 1947 caused a breakdown of law and order in which at least 200,000 people died. Some estimates say one million people were killed. About 12 million people were left homeless and thousands were raped. An attempt by the Igbo people of south-eastern Nigeria to secede in 1967 sparked a war which left more than one million people dead. |
Sometimes I wonder if Nairaland is not a breeding ground for dumbwitted nonentities judging by the above posts. Prof Wole Soyinka is a Nigerian who has every right to form a political party. What is wrong for a critic to forrm a party from which platform he could legitimately mount a strong opposition to the excesses of the so powerful PDP brigand? Change will never come if the polity is dominated by these self - centered greedy bastar.ds |
As a nation, Nigeria has taken the right step. No matter how worrisome our problems may be, they remain internal and maybe resolved through dialogue without someone like Ghadaff who is one of the most despotic, most tyrannical and most brutal leaders in Africa telling us to break up. As for those supporting Ghadaffi's line of reasoning, its a shame that you never learn from history or may be your myopic minds fail to recognise that if Nigeria breaks up into 100 parts today, the problem of religion and ethnicity will not go away. We have to learn how to llive together peacefully and offending parties brought to book |
Arrogant and senseless abuse of power; Iyabo Obasanjo knows how to deal with him and bring him down to earth. Watch her dancing and stretching her hands over the Governor and pushing the security officer when challenged. ![]() [flash=535,325]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/Sj-hPPJpBHw[/flash] |
enough is more than enough indeed. No more room for the cowards. Lets take our destiny in own hands! @amarillo and oblong Its a pity that people like you who I suspect have some acceptable level of education should be against this movement to reclaim our lives from the hands of these greedy kleptomaniacs. Its a shame that you believe its not your right to have access to good roads, good health, security of lives and property. Its very unfortunate that you think its the exclusive rights of some piviledged few to enjoy the wealth of 150m people without a challenge unless of course if you are part of them. |
This dude is a slowpoke |
They haven't answered the question: Who deployed the military during the supposed arrival of Yar'Adua? Certainly it wasn't Jonathan. |
N1.2 Dollars is what an average international coach will earn in a month. So all of you shut up, and lets see how the man will perform. |
A bunch of ill conceited misguided separatists. |
I think Jonathan should not hold any meeting with Turai. Whatever she wants to say, she should come out and tell the whole Nigeria. If Jonathan should be meeting her that would translate taking orders from her. Jonathan is currently holding the mantle of power and he should act so to save Nigeria from this quagmire |
Ibime:I am afraid that won't be possible. Didn't you witness the recent top military officers postings where all the top brass are mainly from Katsina, Kano or Kaduna. I think they have some hidden agenda. This is quite a dangerous development. They won't take orders from Jonathan. |
mafioso2:If you watch the shameful scene you will be too ashamed to show your face as an Edo man |
So the six men delegates were left over there still looking for Umaru. This is the most interesting hide and seek game of all time ![]() |
