From my own experience, the driver loses when he starts the trip late, so I don’t know why people are saying if you start the trip late the driver makes money, na wa.

I once took a trip estimated at 2,500, but I forgot to start the trip till we were close to the destination. My pay turned out to be 700 naira, down from the 2,500 - 2,9000 estimate.




Think about it, why will bolt charge you the estimated charge when the reality is different? It’s like going for a 50km trip and then ending the trip after 1km and expecting bolt to still charge for the 50km.

The only wrong thing I see here is waiting when you haven’t actually reached the pickup point.

Some riders don’t understand how the app works at alllllll. I once told this rider that I’m ending the trip so as to save her money, the. She started arguing, albeit mildly, implying I wanted to cheat her. How can ending the trip and still driving you to your destination be seen as me trying to cheat you? Something you should be saying thank you for.

There is no hope. I will write my experience trying to recover 200k scammed from a friend. The police charged her 80k lawyers charged her 100k before any help could proceed..

Forget the money. Someone transf 60k to a wrong acct instead of mine and was claiming he paid me. Bank said they contacted the person who got the money and the idiot withdrew it within 10mins and vowed never to return it,me sef I taya, the case wasn't going anywhere,back and forth email ,waste of card. I swear. And to make it worse. The bad one won't allow the fixed one work to full capacity. So it will look like you wasted money. AC is very wicked like that. Some ac technician will even give you a list of all the AC components. They just change everything.

This and many more are reasons I'm beginning to accept the fact that we as ehailing drivers need a union... I was reading a post on FB the other day and saw how a driver was arrested at the ajao estate riot that happened last week it was some security guards that helped him secured his car while he was been whisked away by policemen he called pedca or what ever their name is and the exco members came for his release. I don't know if the young man has been release yet.

The guy that was arrested along Igando is another issue, how about the once that was given a drug package to deliver and was arrested in airport sometimes early this year, time will fail me to list those that have been killed or car snatched. A young man was shoot in the eyes at ojuelegba last year by some gang... A rider explained this to me while on a ride his girlfriend married him out of pity after the incident.

The fact is clear we all need an umbrella to stand in when rain and sun come otherwise these app companies will keep making a mess out of us as a people.

Why can't ehailing drivers have a union to challenges the battle be falling us as a people

If u talk union..drivers go d fear cos of paying one k as union levy...with the different incidents u mentioned above..a union is important.
