stonemasonn:
it is better to consult Obj, Tinubu, Atiku etc than to depend on his trusted Hausa/Fulani cabal whose only vision is to advance the Northern agenda.
The same people many Nigerians believe are corrupt and bad? Wonderful!

Anyway, PMB is old and experienced enough to know who to consult and when to consult them.

Don't be surprised it will most likely costlier to fix the car than the house/wall.

Good point!

We need you and your team to instigate a public outcry to the presidency to quickly and urgently dispose the presidential jets, block the extravagance in the proposed 2016 budget, become more transparency as promised, make the fight about getting back the looted fund more open without any acrimony and prejudice, and see Nigerians supporting the change under hardship condition without complaining.
I don't have more reasons to engage in the public outcry than you do. I belong to no party even though I support PMB and believe in APC than PDP.

That the presidency still has those 10 or 11 jets without public outcry already is a shame. It's a result of absence of credible opposition. PDP is unfortunately not qualified to condemn the presidency on this issue because while they held sway, they saw nothing wrong in it and even increased the fleet to the current abysmal number. Any crying from PDP will be tightly termed as wailing.
Where is KOWA, APGA and the rest?

Clear evidence that the promised CHANGE is an ORIGINAL FAKE! cheesy

Btw: What justification do you have for the borrowing when we are getting back the "looted fund" from PDP and could likewise sell off the presidential jets to recoup money to fund the budget ?
Discerning minds already see that there is provision of N350bn (?) revenue from looted fund in the budget. It's first time in our history that a govt has included recovery from looted money in our budget.

Sure, the president has no justification for still keeping those presidential jets. Anything more than four or five jets is a no-no for me.

The chnage is real and original. It's a change from impunity to civility/probity/accountability. A change from stealing is not corruption to one that punishes looters of our common wealth. A change from wastage to effective and efficient management of our resources.
Politics › Re: My Fears For Buhari’s Change Agenda - Olusegun Obasanjo by DropShot: 5:19am On Feb 02, 2016
To me, this is not surprising at all. In fact, I expected this to have come from OBJ long before now. The reason being that PMB has rightly decided not to allow the so called influential Nigerians tele-guide him.

Expect Tinubu, Atiku and a few others to tow similar path to OBJ in the coming months. It's what they will resort to once they're not consulted before major policies/decisions are taken by the government of the day.

If it was ok for the Ineffectual Buffoon to borrow during surplus revenue with NOTHING to show for it, is Buhari expected to perform magic without borrowing during "recession" with far less income?

Lastly, losers in the last election should permanently register it in their brain that the Ineffectual Buffoon was NEVER an option in the last election. He will NEVER EVER be an option in any future presidential election in Nigeria. He has been consigned to sorry past history of the country. So, no amount of crying, wailing and idiotic display will bring him back.

The essence of the NASS is to carry out oversight duty on the budget and remove what is ambiguous, wasteful, unnecessary and others not in the interest of the nation.

That's why they're there.

Better to keep silent when you have no knowledge or facts about hijab.
How did you come to the conclusion the women here were forced or violated to wear hijab.

Great!

This is what every rational, patriotic and progressive citizen needs to do. Corruption is the ONLY reason Nigeria has not taken it's place of pride in community of nations. It is the single factor this great nation has not achieved half of her potentials.

Anyone who sees a problem in the way and manner PMB is fighting corruption is himself/herself very corrupt in soul and deeds.

Contrary to you guys noise, PMB has not disobeyed any court order till date. Dasuki was simply re-arrested while Kanu was charged for treason after getting bail for operating illegal radio station. Bring forth your evidences if any.
Politics › Re: 90% Of Nigerians Are Corrupt – Bafarawa by DropShot: 6:41am On Jan 31, 2016
It's actually more than 90% if we go by the level of support for corruption on this Nairaland forum alone.

I will say between 95% and 98% of Nigerians are corrupt in the real sense of the word. Many of those who even support PMB in his fight on corruption do so only as a result of the real damage they have seen corruption wreck on our economy/society. It's now a case of being pushed to the wall where you have to say "enough is enough". In 2003, 2007 and 2011, we could still survive with the level of corruption then, but in 2015, the country was practically dead. Hence the support for Buhari.

Honestly, I don't think any other country in the whole world could have survived the type of corruption Nigeria survived.

Politics › Re: Call To Make Public 2.1 Billion Dollars Arm Deals Supporting Documents. by DropShot: 6:56pm On Jan 30, 2016
Seek ye first quality education, and every other thing shall be added.

You all need to read the first interim report submitted by the arms probe committee and study it carefully. While it's true that the total amount involved is $2.1bn and N364bn (?), the govt has not said the whole money was looted/siphoned. It is a part of the total that was looted and affected weapons and contracts were specifically mentioned in that report.

So, while it is true that not all the money was stolen, it is appropriate to represent the scandal as mismanaged $2.1bn arms money.

Not again!

Though it's news like this that gives wailers and IPODs orgasm, the fact remains that Boko bastards have largely been decimated.

To finally eradicate them, citizens have to be very vigilant. Suicide bombings cannot be 100% prevented by the military without civilians being very watchful.
