What are your thoughts on Nigerians politicians awarding their personal companies or setting up companies to awards contracts to when in office?
We have seen that in Ebonyi state Umahi awards his personal companies engineering contracts, Okorocha did the same in Imo state, Abia state were Uzor Kalu awarded his personal company Slok contracts and seen in Lagos where Tinubu setup Alpha Beta to collect 10% of Lagos state taxes.

While it is seen as normal in local, state and federal level in Nigeria. Is it frowned upon in the western world as corruption, as you should not personally benefit financially from the public procurement process while in office.

The public procurement process that is adopted by the western world is done to ensure world class infrastructure is provided after competitive bidding and the most competent company is awarded the contract that will deliver the best value.
