Religion / Re: Let Talk About Destiny- Christians And Muslims Perspectives! by Dsage1: 2:31pm On Nov 11, 2013
RoyPCain: ^God is Perfect. humans [creation] are not. There is no way perfect will err. you seem to be using perfection [perfect] very loosely.

and since you seem to focus on worldly matters and wish this to be the object of destiny, i will say it is very simplistic. a temporal situation is inferior to permanent/everlasting which is why i looked at the bigger picture.

and the bible says what benefit does it have to gain the world and lose [at the end] his soul.

What is written is what you have done. what you will do is not written because free will will therefore be irrelevant.

Now I got your points and I'd deducted a vital point I wanted to know, but seriously your last two sentences were quite tricky.

From that statements of yours, you will see that what you will do by free will(unwritten) becomes what you've done(written). This shows there's no DESTINY, you responsible for whatever you become.

So, the only part I agreed with you is (we are destiny either to go heaven or hell).
Politics / Re: Gowon - God Took Abacha, Abiola Away To Save Nigeria by Dsage1: 9:25pm On Nov 10, 2013
obayaya: this interviewer is a very shallow human being.. I was expecting to hear the most important question of them all.

why did gowon renegade on the aburi accord.

aburi would have prevented the war.. would have brought healthy competition between the regions like in the pre war era..

but he killed it just to concentrate the power at the center for the selfish gain of a few.

May God bless you, in a normal society, a person like Gowon shouldn't be seen as ICON let alone talking about affairs of our dear country.

Nigeria should DISINTEGRATE or go back to REGIONALISM. This kind of Federalism is notting but impediment to development. What do we expect from a federal state where local-govts are useless or lack constitutional power? A country where FG takes more than 50% of allocation revenue? A country where money is senselessly giving to law-makers who're barely know in their various constituency? Etc.

@debeey87, you need more education and enlightement, or better still get out of your cave and see what they called good leaders in the developed societies.

I agreed with 'tpia@', and that was why I said 'we all know only God and his works are perfect. For instance, when something bad happen to people(believers), they will still say it's will of God or he did it for a purpose.

Dear RoyPcain, the fact that I called your explaination immaterials doesn't mean I disregards/discredit the Holy Quran, infact I can say the same to any immaterials view from the Bible too. You directed your explaination solely toward heaven and hell, that was why I called it immaterial.

Perhaps I should put it this way;do destiny varies? Has it been written that whatever we wiil be, we will be irrespective of whether we work hard or pray hard to earn it?
Religion / Re: Let Talk About Destiny- Christians And Muslims Perspectives! by Dsage1: 2:57pm On Nov 10, 2013
tpia@:
Very good (which is what the verse says) is different from perfect.

Just wanted to mention that.

We all know perfection is of God and his works.

Your view on the topic?
Religion / Re: Let Talk About Destiny- Christians And Muslims Perspectives! by Dsage1: 2:50pm On Nov 10, 2013
@RoyPcain, like I said in my previous post,I would only use Bible verses as a reference. Now talking about purpose of creation according to the bible;

Gen 1-26, Let us make man in our image, like us:and let him have rule over the fish of sea................. Reading from verse 26-28 shows he created male and female for the same purpose.

Also Ephesian 3:9-10, Isaiah 43:7, Peter 5:6-7.

In his words, he always says cretures(not individual destiny) because everything he created was perfect. Romans :23-24.

Besides, your plausible explaination from Quran is purely immaterials and therefore different from human view of destiny.

I ask again, do God created people to be what they are or the position they find themselves?
Religion / Let Talk About Destiny- Christians And Muslims Perspectives! by Dsage1: 11:55am On Nov 10, 2013
I'm a christian, and will only reverse to what bible say about God creatures.

Gen 1:31, And God saw everything which he had made and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

From the above bible verse, it clearly shows that everything that God created was perfect. The verse also shows that we were created for the same purpose.

So my question is; is destiny a thing of God or a mere word invented by men to give hope? Is there any correlation between destiny and what we are(rich/poor, healthy/unhealthy,brilliant/dull, etc).

Note: I belief in natural ability(talent).

Seriously don't know what's really wrong with you guys calling her ugly. You need to see someone face-face before you conclude that the person is ugly. Many girls usually posted their best pictures on socia-networks while some don't know how to do that.

Religion / Re: Why Wouldn't You Marry A Sister From Your Church? by Dsage1: 8:43pm On Nov 01, 2013
DailyNews: The fear of getting a NO from someone they will be seeing so often. Imagine if he builds up courage and walks up to a sister he had been admiring in the church, and unfortunately, the sister says: NO! I am taken, occupied, not ready now, etc.

The guy will never be able to cope with the shame, especially when he will be seeing the sister in church always.

You know, after many stories and experiences shared by different guys of how they got turned down or snubbed by some rude and manner-less ladies they cherished and wished to love and marry, guys of nowadays have learnt to keep quiet even when they cherish a lady, most responsible guys always keep that admiration to themselves, most times forever.

Not all guys can handle rejection from a lady they cherish and have fantasize a good future with, hence, many responsible guys in general have withdrew from wooing and and toasting women.

That's the sad situation right now. I know plenty guys in this shoe.

Wooing a lady is like a game of luck, you either win or get rejected. This's something you must live with, only a coward give up on wooing cos of a mere rejection from girls. If a woman reject you, please don't mind her shakara just go to the next available one you like, many of them are hypocrites, so don't give up.

@all, please and please there are genuine cars dealers on NL. There might be some scammers really but don't forget there're genuine people too that imported their vehicles from US and EU.

All you need to do is to ask for the requires papers including custom duty. That's why I will advise people to patronize sellers that imported through port. THANK!

carefreewannabe: How can I notice his personality first? undecided
Getting to know one's personality is a time consuming process,so it's looks FIRST.

Perhaps you're still very young? Classic or smart ladies do recognise decent or personality of a man they meet.

@topic, all i will say is that, NL is full of young girls.
Romance / Re: 31 Years Old Virgin Female Looking For Virgin Guy! by Dsage1: 11:17pm On Oct 27, 2013
@op, at 31yrs you're still looking for a virgin guy who must be older than yourself? Set your priority right woman,a virgin guy cannot guarantee you a successful marriage,so why bothering yourself upon notting?

Seems despite your age,you know little/notting about men and relationship. Once a marriageable Nigeria man become rich/successful(virgin or not),he will never settle for older girls especially those in their 30's. I will advise you to remove that virgin nonsense. #My2cent#Goodluck.

I think this 'Wu zetian'. Of a girl need to check on her unnecessary anger towards strangers especially men on this site.

Imaging a lady quoted your unharm post and started calling you stup1d.

Dear Wu zetian, humility and respect are the pride of every virtuous woman. Also, stop reading femmism theory or whatever,it cannot help your socio-cultural relationship.

Why should a girl push? For crying out loud its a man's job.

Later, they will be shouting equal right.

@op, this shouldn't be a question at all, even if she's the queen of England, she must push in such situation.

Politics / Re: Which Tribe Or Region Will Suffer Most If Nigeria Splits? by Dsage1: 10:39pm On Oct 11, 2013
sakaguchi: @OP And the relevance of this question is only to thrill you with the adrenaline from tribal bashing?I don't think any tribe will suffer it, the north is reputed for agriculture: tomato, onions, cattle, beans, millet, dairy and will be forced to return to it, New zealand is fine with agriculture. The Christian part of the north; Plateau, Benue, South Kaduna, Taraba, some parts of Nasarawa and parts of all northern states have soya beans, yams (with Nasarawa, Niger and Benue being the largest producer nationwide), potatoes, apple, cabbage etc, in general, the north will be an agricultural hub. The South west have inchoate technocrat setup, they can build on it together with their cities, culture and manpower, the south East have traders and entrepreneurs who would delve in business, manufacturing etc, South South has the oil. Did I forget to mention the leather industry in the north? Cement, sugar cane? I don't think any zone/region will suffer and wait a minute, Nigeria will never break up. #TeamOneNigeria

I would not have said it any better.

Thread has romantic undertone and absolutely nothing to do with politics. I honestly don't know what happened to your comprehension skills. If anything, it's best suited for the family because of the obvious commonalities that exist within romance/family

C'mon Jay bee, notting is wrong with my comprehension skills, except you're trying not to tell the truth, notting is romantic about this thread.

The thread talked about gender inequality, domination of a particular gender,as well as right and position of women in the society. On this basis, it's also suited for the politics.

Wu Zetian:

You're the first person to mention this, though you stup1dly assumed I'm unaware of that. I wonder what the 'dead give-away' was undecided

The main purpose of this thread was to see if people thought gender inequality came as a result of a patriarchal society or simply "evil that men do".

Matriarchy is still practiced by some societies today. You would think women have an advantage in societies like this, right?? No, it's just reverse discrimination.

It's a waste of time to be argue or writting long essay on this issue. You and I know that inequality and perhap Patriarchy are inevitable and natural.

The nature has favoured men, so Patriarchy is normal and unquestionable.
