While I will admit that it's very strange for a pastor to transition directly into a babalowo, its not impossible. And I sincerely hope that he was not a matured Christian because if he was, then it might be impossible for him to get restored. Since he didn't just commit a sin but he denied Jesus. You confuse Church going with Christ-likeness aka Christian.
