A very valid question. I think the truly vile and toxic never really change for good, they may tone it down for a season or reason.

But, the moment that season or reason passes they are right back to their true selves/nature. Imagine 25 years of domestic violence? I would have stopped praying and fasting by the 2nd year if not sooner and taken firm action.
