But you have not produced a post where he says it must be only a united Nigeria or nothing.

I personally believe in peaceful balkinizing of Nigeria where everyone goes separately but peacefully. And where that is not achievable, I support a united Nigeria. Is this my position contradicting? And I believe this is Omenka 's position too.
Do you really want it? What you said you believe in? You and I know you don't.

You know why hardliners like you, need to have a rethink, you'll change position when another king is enthroned.. You may become indifferent about the new boko haram at that time or simply support it.

How can any sane being expect PMB to implement a report of national conference he was opposed to right from beginning.

How can any rational person expect an APC govt that was not part of the conference to implement it's report they were never part of?

[quote author=tallfish145 post=46233817]If Buhari visits Ogoniland today and an attempt is made on his life, two things are bound to happen and both leads to only one end. One is to take him out using snipers or whatever and then what? The army will wipe the entire Southeast and South South off the surface of the earth. The army, Air force, Navy and all other security forces will be given a 'shoot at sight order' to keep shelling the entire region until nothing moves again, yes, nothing. The other is to make an attempt on his life and he escapes the assassination plot; either ways, the security agents will still kill everyone and everything. So, who wins?
No matter how it plays out, the northerners will immediately commence ‪#‎ethnicCleansing‬ against the ‪#‎Millions‬ of southerners in the North and the Southerners will also annihilate the ‪#‎Few‬ northerners in the South and a full scale war that is worse than the ‪#‎Biafra‬ cum ‪#‎bokoHaram‬ war will begin. Every ethnic group will take up arm against the other and continue to kill one another till the whole country is littered with corpses. Then the international community will wade into the crisis in the name of quelling the fight and take our oil and lands away from us. Then another round of ‪#‎Colonialization‬ will begin in full gear and the few ones that are lucky to be alive will become slaves to the West. Biafra is lost and One Nigeria is also lost. So, who wins?
Then 60 years from now, one of the few lucky survivors of the war will author a book with the title: 'There was a country' or 'Buhari's visit to Ogoniland: The beginning of the end of Nigeria'; or something like that. Again, who wins?
But after a deep thought, I told myself that Buhari was right to cancel his visit and take the ‪#‎Shame‬ that comes with it. He has clearly demonstrated a rare statesmanship that is worthy of emulation. The Buhari that I know is not worried about his life; he fought in the Biafra war 49 years ago. He is a war General who has seen death on several occasions. He is only concerned about the millions of life that will be wasted because of him as well as the aftermath effect of such bloody situation on the over 170million lives of fellow Nigerians.
Thank you baba for saving our lives. You have just earned yourself the title of 'The father of a new Nigeria! Shame on you ‪#‎Wailers‬!
God bless President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR![/quote

Now we know the reason this country won't go anywhere. Tribalism is what's killing us. Just cos the person we want in power didn't win doesn't mean we should make sure the government fails. How will the economy pick up when all we can use to boost it is being destroyed?
Can't we just support our country? We need to remove the hatred and move forward. That way we can all enjoy together.
I just pray the government will look into this and do the needful.
God bless Nigeria and Nigerians.
No not after a celebrated boko haram. That was even bombing Abuja when the country was to hold World economic summit. We can tell the story of boko haram as if GEJ looted funds, we can also say he allowed it to grow, we can also say he was clueless or just any way it will appeal to us.

But the fact remains that it was used to make his government weak absolutely undermined. We know the brains behind boko haram will not come out, we know boko haram will end. We know a lot of compromise that happened just to save the last government. Even if we pretend not to know and keep talking about corruption.

We know all that happened.

I said this in March 2015

Manchester United and the Glazer family want Van Gaal to get the club up and running in a short time.

This is not possible. Especially when you bring in a coach with a different philosophy from what is on ground at the club.

Just like Van Gaal pointed out about his time at AZ Alkmaar. It seemed his work was not effective but with time, a small club in the Dutch league won the league title.

Van Gaal faced the same problem at Bayern Munich. Bayern seemed to go in a downward direction under Van Gaal. His way seemed complicated but in the long run, it was beneficial. Look at the way he brought in the likes of Alaba, Gustavo, Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller to a Bayern side that was struggling. Bayern Munich sacked Van Gaal but these guys became pillars to the Bayern side that lost the final against Chelsea and won the next Champions League finals against Borussia Dortmund.

If Manchester United want immediate success, Van Gaal is not the man for the job, however, if Manchester United is ready to wait for Van Gaal to turn them into one of the top sides in Europe, he is the perfect man for the job.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Nigerian And Ghanian Churches May Soon Be In The Shoes Of Turkey by duality(m): 11:14am On May 15, 2016
The fact is that righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to a people.

There's power in righteousness. Those who are quick to condemn the church and the gospel and call people hypocrites are not even true Christians who are determined to live righteously based on the word of God. They want to identify with God and wallow in iniquity. It doesn't work that way.

A lot of people condemn the gospel just for political reasons so shameful.

Secondly, a lot of people want to dress like the world, talk like the world do things like unbelievers, be acceptable to the world and still want to manifest the power of God. It doesn't work like that. "come out from them and be separate" says the Bible
If you don't, you'll have a form of godliness but deny the power therein.

Also, the gospel is being attacked everywhere in the world. Christians are being attacked in USA, Nigeria, everywhere. It is the signs of the end time. "Even the gospel shall be ill spoken about"

If you say "Jesus" some persons will become uncomfortable.. They use the word "Religion" to encapsulate their mischief to condemn and attack the gospel. The Bible told us about them.

The gospel is being attacked everywhere Bro, people are comfortable using the "F" and "S" words in public than talking the word of God... When you say "prayer" they get offended.

It's all the manipulation of the devil to entrench Godlessness. The tragedy is that Wickedness will increase.. You can't take out God and the devil will not come in.

Another area is "Money" . This is the area where the church is being attacked. There are lots of dirty money in the fold. It's a manipulation of the devil. When blood money was brought into the church in Matthew 27:6, it was not put into the treasury. But today.. people are spending blood money. I could go on and on.. It's all signs of the end. But God will build his church and the gate of hell will not prevail against it.

For Nigeria , you may not agree but the truth is that something happened in this country not too long ago.. We all know what it is. The church will have to fight for its destiny in Nigeria because a strong switch happened in the spiritual realm.. It translated politically.. It will take some time for people to realize it.

In all, God will stand up for his children all through.

Una nor dey tire or ashamed of this blame game? Did GEJ met the country in good shape? Did he complained ? They voted you to perform/work not complained about the past..

This thing is tired some..... GEJ Agricultural reform was seen and felt by everyone ,Nigeria was able to boast of Pyamids of food like in the 60's.

Even Dangote built a Tomatoes processing plant because he saw the wastage last 2years courtesy of GEJ, where are they today? Nigeria na import tomatoes that was wasting past year....is GEJ to blame too? The farmers who are beneficiaries ?95% Northerners) are already feeling it, here you are blaming GEJ... Check how he fight the cabals and corruption on agricultural sector that boost the farmers without arresting, jailing or defamating anyone....

Just a clue: The norm has been giving fund to minister of agriculture who in turn buy seeds and fertilizer for farmers (In Nigeria hope you know the norm)

How he fight the corruption: The farmers registered with their finger print and you can't register twice, funds was disbursed directly to their personal account to buy seeds and fertilizer themselves, no more dash as usual or nepotism in sharing seeds as usual or using 10% of the funds and share the rest among chieftains....

That's 21st century ways of fighting corruption.. Not arresting, jailing and wasting tax payers money on court cases.... Wise up Man
Well said. **** The fact is that these people are trying too hard too bring down the standard of the last president to accommodate the overwhelming ineffectiveness of this present government is just too obvious.

Ask them to mention any sector that is working now... They keep saying the same thing. It is obvious to everybody.
They just can't put themselves down to admit..that Nigerians that they claim was suffering during GEJ era are buying fuel for unbelievable amount.

The looting didn't affect them from crediting, improved power in June last year to Buhari .. They told us that body language fixed the refineries in same June last year.. The so called corruption they keep bringing up didn't matter that time. Forget all these simpletons.

Jasper Azualatam wrote:

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DID NOT REMOVE SUBSIDY BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUBSIDY AT #86.5 PUMP PRICE OF FUEL

Before you go to protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government, be informed that the government did not remove any subsidy because there was no subsidy to be removed in the first place! So don't go and protest against what does not exist. Seek information and be informed.

This is what the government has done. The government has simply stopped giving foreign exchange to fuel importers and has asked them to source for foreign exchange through secondary sources.
Why has the pump price of fuel increased from #86.5 to between #135 and #145? This is specifically as a result of the difrence between the official exchange rate and the informal (parallel) market exchange rate. This is the simple mathematics.
The official exchange rate is #199 per dollar while the parallel market exchange rate is #320 per dollar. This represents and increase of 37% (320-199/320 × 100 = 37.8%). This reflected exactly in the new price of petrol as it increased from #86.5 to an averag of #140 which is an increase of 38% (140 - 86.5/140 ×100 = 38%).

There may be a gap in the dissemination of information to the public and it is totally regrettable and I am sure it will be taken care of, but I encourage Nigeians to seek the right information.
I have always insisted that there was nothing like fuel subsidy and I stand by that. The Federal government cannot continue to be the sole source of foreign exchange for the importation of fuel in the face of falling price of crude resulting in the depletion of our foreign reserve. It unsustainable and cannot satisfy the domestic consumption of fuel in Nigeria.

Nigeria gets foreign currency from the sell of crude and the price of crude has fallen by over 70%. This means that the government no long has enough dollars to give to fuel importers. A lame man shoud be able to understand this.

With the competition that will set in from the open market, it s expected that the pump price of fuel will naturally crash in time.

Please share and enlighten every Nigerian.

Jasper Azuatalam
Have the price of diesel come down following competition?

I don't support an insensitive and corrupt government Who's interest is to build economic statistics at the expense of the masses. This same government was telling us that people live below 1$/day. This year alone, the economy have been tough. Low purchasing power.

Let's stop being insensitive. Salaries are not being paid like before in some states. What about pensions. Have you talked about them.

I know those who have for nothing, condemned themselves to protecting buhari at all cost, feel compelled to do so; but have you all lost your souls because of politics?

Who have bewitched you all. Can't we just say No! ? You think when the cost of living hits the roof, the federal government will start dashing out money on the streets? Have you all lost your conscience? what has happened to the humanity of Nigerians. Haba.. At this rate whatwhat do you want those who lost their jobs to do. This is evil.
