but do you remember when lvg first came,he was very attack minded and played an open game,but along d line d balance wasn't struck,nd he complained about having to always b on edge with our kind of open play,that we didn't have control in certain periods,then we lost 5 3 to Leicester,that was d game that ultimately ruined him cos that was when he started his sideways philosophy,

now mourinho of last season was also quite attacking last season even against arsenal at old Trafford we battered them,but d results wasn't coming..

now if you want to b honest and analyse both scenerios both coaches didn't plan on giving us drab footie,they started by attacking but it was obvious that along d line the players we have don't really have that experience and quality to control games and make good decisions,a point elampiro always emphasizes about..we lacking leaders..
so lvg used his sideways passes to limit thr deficiencies of the players while mou has become more cautious in his approach..

we all know that at some point even SAF played a defensive game against the likes of barca because that barca team was something else.

But we knew how we dominated or played other teams that we were expected to dominate.

From the time we the fake fans complained about Mourinhos approach to games it was clear that even teams that we were expected to dominate, we did not and that's the reason we are 11points behind.

when we won games with this approach, even against average teams, we were asked why we were complaining because we got the 3points. it simply meant that when we played badly and got the 3points then we should not criticize any aspect of the team or coach.

The complaining was because we had seen that this approach/model/style or tactics was not sustainable and would not get us anywhere.

My point is if we had approached other games with a positive tactics we would probably be 3 or 4points behind city which is nothing.

unless something cataclysmic happens to city,there is a better chance of the chasing pack catching up with us than us catching city if we continue with this nonsense style.

so in other words mou should b sacked and an "attacking" coach should b signed

Even when we beat City under SAF in 2011/12 in FA cup after losing two league matches, City held us half field.

In 2012/2013, City played us half field even when we best them 3-2. The return leg they beat us after dominating us.

City has the better players since 2011. They gave gradually been using the Champions League to get quality experience even before Guardiola came. Guardiola has the better players. Truth be told.

that's just one ugly fact that most peeps don't want to face..Perez had been spending millions every transfer window for more than 7 years,with time they finally had d right balance with quality and also good depth,when the oil people took over city and started spending,d result wasn't that immediate,yes they bought some useless players along the way but they also bought world class players,now look at where city is with the right coach and real quality players they have started reaping d dividends...look at psg also its not now their spending started,but look at d team they have now,all these things take time..

d fact is that we don't have that quality any longer,it should b a dilemma that all d top 6 we faced without pogba we didn't win,but d ones pogba played,we won..it goes to show that even if the team doesn't play well on a particular day,you'd still need individual brilliance..

The Lukaku we are berating for his useless link up play would have been forgiven if once in a while he messes up link up play but is busy scoring goals while in the box because we PLAY ATTACKING FOOTBALL, but because Mourinho thinks he can win a game by being defensive an attacker who is expected to be in the opposition box is busy defending and burdened with link up play here and there, something that is not exactly one of his strong attributes. That's why we are where we are today.

I bet you if you give these same players to an attack minded coach like poch or someone else you will be surprised what these players will do to opponents.

honestly,there are parts of this I agree with..where he said on obviously you need quality in your squad,that's a major point I have always hammered on,despite our spendings,our players are still bang average its very obvious that city has a more balanced squad with better players...I saw one comment here that if it was pep managing Herrera Nd Mata,that they would b spraying passes anyhow,I just shook my head..d pogba that is spraying d passes anyhow and imposing himself as our most important player is he not playing under mourinho?? that's where quality comes into play,but I still maintain that no matter how good your tactics is,its only as effective as d players used in d system..

Well, whilst you're right that Madrid have got the prerequisite experience, at the back, I don't see them coping with the threat posed by Neymar and Mbappe, midfield is even especially if Motta is fit, he makes them play so much better...
As for Chelsea, whilst you might want to argue in their favor you've got to remember that Dembele will be back come February and he'd be akin to a new signing, the thought of Messi against Alonso and Dembele against Zappacosta/Moses...

We got a very good draw, Sevilla are woeful away from home thus I expect us to grind out a result away and finish them off at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, PSG should progress, Barca should have too much for that average Chelsea defense and Spurs with their players fit should be able to spring up a surprise against the Old Lady of Italian football.

That's why I said they'd be in a good position to win the league if they could keep it up till January.

Most people are awaiting their downfall though. But they keep winning, scoring last minute goals. Those 3 points are very very important. If after December they are still topping by 5-8 points I'd pen them down for the league. It will be very unlikely for them not to win it.

As for the UCL, I dn't think they've got enough to say they'll win it as they'll clash with good teams along the way. They could meet Bayern Munich and get blasted home and away.
