Hello You have to use one family member appointment and the others can walk in and pay for the relevant service. Also confirm that the TLS you selected is currently offering such as I believe some may have put it on hold(case in point TLs Ikeja) Cheers slutky: Please I need for this question
Hello All,
Please I have a question regarding walk-in for my family. We all have different appointment dates. Can we do walk in and ignore our different appointment dates for biometrics or we must walkin using an appointment date for 1 family member |

Hello You can start with the old one pending when the new one is ready The new one will reflect the previous passport number You also asked a question about POFs which I think has been flagged because I can't see it Your POF is your maintenance for your studies, it should be in your bank for a period of minimum 28days and you can print your statement after then ensuring it is submitted before the 31st day after printing. Hope that answers Cheers royal200: Please who can help me resolve this. Am at a cross road. I already have my admission confirmed but my passport remain 4 months to expire and collecting new one am told it will take like 6weeks.....please how should I go about all this,,please who can help me. May I add that she should endeavour to state she has a relation in the UK if he mom still lives there Cheers okuwaniceman: Hello all Pls what implications does disclosing by an MA with dependants spouse and children when filing their visa application, that the MA has a mother who is now a British citizen, have on their applications?. Would that suggest that they may not want to come back when deciding on their visas thereby leading to denial? Pls if you have any idea or has passed through same, kindly help to respond.

Hello Absolutely it should be fine The only thing I will add is if her passport is not ready and his visa vignette on the passport is almost expiring,he can arrive the UK, get his BRP and other necessary documents and then return to Naija to wait and follow up with her application Cheers Bhee20: Hello @duchess90 @giselle237
Please I need advice, i and the MA with my husband and daughter as dependents, my daughter is less that 6months old and her international passport is not ready yet. However, my husband and I want to apply for Visa so I can resume in September while he stays back with her till her passport is ready and we can apply for her and they both travel together.
Do you know if this arrangement can fly and she’d be granted visa based on the fact that both her parents would have visa already? |

Not everyone believes in the abroad dream especially if they are doing well in Nigeria He is offshore sometimes for 3 months so where should the child be at that time if I don’t go with her?
I can’t lie that we are separated when we are not. Applying with us will mean more POF and he is not ready for all that and I don’t have more than enough for his POF. I have seen people get visa without their husbands. |

Hello This was a consideration at the credibility interview during Biometrics which is currently not as popular and will only be requested on a case by case basis. Because the credibility interview is not taking place as often as it should ,case workers now rely solely on evidence of anything worth considering including study gaps. That is the reason why NSF mails have been sent to request that sort of additional document and now applicants are proactive in submitting such to avoid NSFs Here's a screenshot and a link to do more reading. There's a shorter version and I'll post it when I find it https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/points-based-system-student-routeCheers emandman: Sorry if I appear like I'm doubting so many respected gurus here, but this study gap idea I read here ,where did it come from? I can't find job reference as a requirement on ukvi site and I know a colleague with 10 years study gap who did not submit job reference and was granted. I will still err on the side of caution though. But we need to clarify if it's a myth we've all come to accept as norm. Thanks

Hello, The email I had advised was hers not the kids But if the bolded is possible and the applicant doesn't mix things up then this would be a better option Cheers Davidandgo: Please use your email. I assume your kids are minors and it’s expected that they won’t be able to monitor the progress of their application by themselves.
It is also easy for you to track their applications using your email address because each child/dependent is expected to have different passwords anyways. A lot of people did this and they were able to track their children’s application. |

Hello Nope the consent letter is not enough. Is his work a compelling reason why he is not applying at the same time with you? It's up to you to prove that otherwise I fear a possible refusal . Here's a screenshot that explains the sentence easier, you can do more research on this PS there is something called parent child abduction Cheers Gift7428: So in my case are you saying I might need a legal document since my husband is not applying with us?
The consent letter from both of us and his documents should be okay right? He can’t apply due to the nature of his job( offshore) Please kindly let me know if I might need additional documents so I gather them now. We are still married.

I personally would print it on a Tuesday Cheers Kalakris: @bigtt76 @duchess90 @justwise I want to print out my account statement (POF). I want the statement to start from the 25th of June to 22nd of July. That 22nd of July (which fell on a Friday) is exactly the 28th day. Can I print it that day and it will be valid (28 days). Hello You don't need to include the decision documents, declaring it is sufficient I won't be too concerned Cheers Ibro2021: Gurus in the house, please advise.
I declared a South African visit visa refusal from 2019 but forgot to upload the notice of decision doc when self uploading on TLS. Reason for refusal was the SA Embassy been unable to reach the training centre that issued invitation letter to me. I reapplied for the same SA visit visa to the training centre in early-2020 and it was granted.
Does this affect my application please, or do I have to submit the notice of decision when I go for biometrics?
Thank you.

Hello Back to the previous answer @ the bolded The father can't grant sole responsibility to the mom. It is the court to do so If you are referring to letter of consent that won't still apply, it has to be apply together ,provide sole responsibility (legal document) or show compelling reasons (hence the discussion about special needs) Cheers bigtt76: I don't know but aren't we mis-construing the denial of the child's visa to his/her special needs? Basing an appeal on this, may not fly without the father granting the mother sole responsibility as the main applicant. That I think is the main reason for the denial and until that is sorted out, I don't see how it will fly based on the special needs.
If the father hadn't apply with the MA and child and there was a letter of consent, would child have been denied? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by duchess90(f): 9:22am On Jul 17, 2022 |
Hello Exactly so if it isn't the case, what @bourne007 said earlier has to stand unless compelling reasons which is what has brought us back to the discussion My point was responsibility is not just an affidavit, or a letter of consent when it comes to a minor especially when the second parent can't apply. Thinking about it, I know someone who has sole responsibility because the other parent has some mental health issues and can't take decisions for the child. They had to prove and provide evidence for that sha Anyway..enjoy your Sunday Cheers bigtt76: I get you perhaps I got the name wrong but care must be taken here ...declaring sole responsibility in court (legal document) may be construed as a 'semi-divorce' except the grounds for declaring sole responsibility are well defined. I'm not a lawyer ....just my thoughts though |

Hi Bourne007 I agree with what @Giselle237 and @Justwise says about the possibility but tbh it might be slim Whilst they go around looking for a solid lawyer can they Include and justify 1. What the special needs is and how they have explored the options of care in Nigeria and why they deem fit that the child must be with the mom 2. How that will not affect her studies seeing she will need dedicated amount of time to care for her child and not focus on study 3. How this extra care will be gotten and the effect it will have on the NHS 4. Why the father can't care for the child considering she will be returning back to Nigeria after her studies 5. it might get to the point of legal declaration to some extent 6. This will be a rough path to go but slim chance of winning All the best to the person Cheers Bourne007: Yea it's really sad as child visas can be tricky in scenarios like this. Message passed and hopefully they will have options on what to do. Cheers |
