Please I need your advise,
I submitted uk visa application for my wife last month and her biometrics took place(23rd -27th June) same week. But the complexity is that I am supposed to be her dependant and at the same time her sponsor ( meaning our proof of fund is in my name and bank account) but I could not submit same time because my TB test certificate has not been issued. I had to undergo further test which I am still waiting for the result.
Though the result should be out this week or next as I am in the 8th week of the test and based on their procedure, the result should be out in 8-10weeks.
Now she received this mail
"Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 120 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

What could be wrong and what do you suggest I do?
Please note that all evidence of relationship have been uploaded ( marriage certificate,court affidavit and change of name) no further documents is required in the mail though.

You can apply now and your dependants later, you won't need to show POFs for them

However,when you do apply, bear in mind that your own evidence of POFs or evidence of funds spent towards school i.e rent will need to provided to confirm the funds are not recycled

If I apply now alone, do I need to show pof for dependents? If they apply in months time using my account, do I have to show account statement of 28 days for them or the entire duration of those months?

But they still need to prove relationship/marriage is genuine whether they live together or not.
I will be surprised if they live apart and don't have bus ticket or receipt or flight ticket to show they visit on both ends.

If that kind of evidence is not available then that casts alot of doubt

Ok why not make it less complicated for you by using same address as your spouse in Nigeria? Stating two different addresses means you guys don't live together and would require you having to prove your relationship with her compared to when you use the same address.

Please I need your insight on this current situation of mine, I am single with no kids but in a relationship of about 4 years with a lady that moved to UAE on a work visa a year ago. We are still very much into each other and communicate very well.

I'm at the stage of putting in for my student visa application having gotten admission for Sept 2022 intake with cas number so I'm considering adding her as a de facto partner (secondary applicant) on my student application so that she can join me probably by Jan 2023. By then we would have done our court and traditional wedding. How best can I go about it or what alternative way can i explore to bring her into the uk within the six months of starting my msc programme?

We shouldn't depend on affidavit all the time for errors like this please.

You just received this document a few days ago, is it too late for corrections to be made?

Age and also gender mistakes is alot to be swearing affidavit for.
Try and see if the error can be corrected and reissued to you.

In the student copy of my transcript which I just received some few days ago, I realized that the date of birth on it is wrong, even the Gender is also wrong. It doesn't tally with my International Passport.

Since you are going together you can pay together and print out the evidence or screenshot of your payment

You will also need your
Passport and remember your University address. That's basically it

They can apply using different addresses, the most important thing is the additional documents to proof your relationship/marriage

You may need to state that they live in different locations due to work demands but include evidence of travel plus others i.e pictures of the relationship/marriage, bank statement together, bills paid together,etc

The choice is yours

You can decide which date you want to go for pending on the stage of your application and cancel the second one.

Since it is TB test, my choice will be the earlier one so if there are issues it is spotted on time(hopefully not)

Remember though, TB validity is 6months

Hi,
In his first msg, he didnt state the mistake was that much. If it was a small mistake like in the date and month, its nothing much cos pple make sure mistakes and its fine cos mistakes happen.
I made such mistake in my sons visiting visit application n only got to know after i submitted and had no issues.
Now he has he has stated that its in thevyear which is 20 whole years apart, thats what am worried about.

I went to Indonesia 2016 with a 1 month business Visa, before my one month expired, I applied for an extension which did not come out on time and I overstayed 3 days, i applied for voluntary repatriation and repatriated was stamped on my passport before coming back.
I flew from another country which I had the resident to Indonesia and was Repatriated back to that country.
Should I declare this?

If it is the section you have provided, then that could be error hopefully the ECO can ignore

If you do proceed to cancel then your application ( if you haven't attended biometrics) and IHS fee will be refunded

I beg to differ on this

The mistake is quite big to let go, unless the ECO starts to look into his birth certificate

You have said your son is 22 years with a dob of 2000 , at the moment, he is technically no longer a child dependant.

There is a tendency for the ECO to skip and refer to the birth certificate but what if that doesn't happen.

The onus is on you to ensure the information you provide is accurate and true.

@ Afmaag123 thanks for reaching back. The mistake was around the part on MA section that ask for people who depends on you for financial assistance or so who will or will not be traveling with you. so instead of putting his birth year as 2020 we put it as 2000.

1) My last deposit came in on 20th June, so i started counting my 28 days from the next day (21st June). The 28 days will be completed on 19th July, when will it be best to print the account statement? Also, when I am printing the statement, can the start date be from 21st June?

2) Can I use the statement generated from my bank app? My bank is Gtbank and it has digital stamp and signature. I will be sending the statement to my school first to get CAS before using it for visa application.

3) About one week after my 28days started counting, i received a large sum (about 5M) from a company account and then another 3M a few days later. I have also done other smaller transactions (credits and debits) but none of them went below the sum required of me (using a rate of 554). Could these raise any flags or possibly cause UKVI to send an NSF email for me to explain the source of these deposits?
