Good day sabi mamas. Please, I have to ask, is agbalumo/udara good for ttc for women? I have been eating a lot of them these days. I know it’s acidic, but does it turn alkaline in the body just like lemon? It seems to be the only fruit I can stand lately. I have abused all other fruits that I can’t stand the sight of them anymore.

OKRO WATER THERAPY

During your period, boil guava(dry or fresh) leaves and drink the water while still warm. One glass or half glass cup first thing in d morning and last thing in the night.
Then, after your period, in the evening, slice 5-7 pieces of okro, put the sliced okro into eva water bottle. Fill the can with clean water. Leave the okro in the water till morning. Shake well and take 1 glass of the okro water first thing in the morning before eating and last thing in the night. In the evening, discard the okro and prepare a fresh one to be taken as I explained above. You have to be doing a fresh one daily for 3-5days. Then watch out for ovulation signs.
Baby dust to u.

Thank you so much!

Vitamin C and E can be taken to combat the vaginal dryness that comes with the use of clomid. Pls, be careful when self medicating on clomid to avoid ovarian cysts and fibroids.

Mama, why not try natural ovulation boosters instead of clomid? You can try okro water therapy. It works very well for ovulation.

Okro water? Please how is that done? And thanks for the tip on Clomid.

Since last year? Sperm is produced every 3 months so if he has had a lifestyle change or had any infection it will affect his sperm production....he needs to be on supplements or at least do another sfa.
@bolded, you can't tell...
Confirm your partner's swimmers before trying letrozole.

Thanks so much. He hasn’t had any lifestyle change or infection, however we would go for SFA.

At the bolded, does it mean during tracking the eggs are not growing ?
Clomid helps in achieving ovulation n works best when used with another drug. letrozole is also good it has a milder side effect.Talking from someone who have used the two before, they don't react the same way but they achieve the same goal.

Please what other drugs can one take with clomid to achieve better results?

Letrozole works especially for people with PCOS

Is it okay for one without PCOS to take it? I don’t have PCOS.

Ovulation simulation drugs helps you ovulate, wether pregnancy is achieved is a different case. So if clomid helped you ovulate then it worked....we only say it didn't work if you didn't ovulate.
However, one of the side effects of clomid is the vaginal dryness that comes with it. So if you ovulate but didn't use a fertility friendly lubricant then the sperm might not get to the eggs.
You also need to rule out male factor...has your partner done SFA and are the values ok?

Yes, he did SFA last year and it was fair, about 40million per ejaculate. I was dry with clomid but not too dry not to conceive with it. Maybe clomid makes one acidic to kill off sperm cells?

No follicle was seen at all (that’s when taking Fertilaid).
Clomid helped me ovulate very well, but I didn’t conceive. I hear it happened like that with many people as well. I don’t understand why though. What I want to know is whether those that didn’t conceive (but ovulated) with clomid achieves success with letrozole.
I don’t mind the side effects of letrozole, I just want to conceive. embarassed

Ooh ma'am,wch state do you reside?? Seriously I dont want you to self medicate. If you are in Abuja..federal medical centre Abuja is very good..wch state are you please

I’m in Lagos. I used a gynae the time I used clomid and was monitored. The doctor gave me a wrong prescription, he “thought I had pcos”. Long story. Clomid messed up my cycle. Gave me many annovulatory cycles after I stopped using it.
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by duchessgoddess(f): 7:39pm On Dec 06, 2020
Good evening mamas. Please what is the best drug to induce menses with and regulate cycles immediately? Primolut n or some birth control pills? If birth control, would postinor 2 do the work? I took fertilaid which didn’t work for me and it made my cycle very irregular. I’m on CD32 now yet no ovulation. Cycle before this was CD68. Yes, I have been tracking with strips and TVS.
Again, I used clomid about 3 years ago (4 cycles) and it didn’t work for me, even though it made me ovulate well. A gynae suggested letrozole, are they not same thing? Do they react same way? Are there people that didn’t conceive with clomid but did with letrozole? Please come to my aid oh. Hmmmm... thanks.

Yes, it s still possible to ovulate after CD19. It depends on your cycle length and sometimes, one can ovulate late. Ovulation day can vary in some cycles. Some do ovulate earlier while some do ovulate late.

Okay. Thank you.

Yes,even on any day, since the circle is irregular.

Thank you. And I hope it’s okay that I haven’t been on the drug since last week?

It means your two ovaries are free from any defect. No cyst.
TVS is done to know the condition of your uterus and not to track ovulation. To track ovulation, folliculometry ie follicular tracking is required. Through follicular tracking, you will know if you've ovulated or not. You can also use ovulation predictor kits to pinpoint when you're likely to ovulate.

Ah! And I asked them to track ovulation oh! With the scan, I just wanted to know if I have ovulated or not. I haven’t had any signs of ovulation yet and it’s day 19. I would get a tracker and track. Please, Is it possible to still ovulate after day 19? Thanks
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by duchessgoddess(f): 5:03pm On Nov 25, 2020
futuremoma34:

Hello ma,trust you are doing great, the area circled is a normal term used when the ovaries are empty and ook..to me,you are yet to ovulate, because if you have ovulated, POD will be seen..so try and get an ovulation test kit tracker, its efficient and effective,..also next time when you are taking fertile aid,you need to be under the supervision of a doctor, because that drug is very powerful and works differently on people.

Thanks so much for your reply. I agree, that drug turned my cycle upside down. My usual 28day cycle is now 45 days or so. I finished taking a month’s supply of Fertilaid last week. I am not currently on another supply. I hope what I have taken would do its work to make me ovulate as that seems to be the issue. I will get a tracker, thank you.

Good afternoon sisters, please what’s your take on Fertilaid and Ovaboost combo for ovulation? Please those that have used it, are there any side effects? Does it work? Does it act like clomid? Cos I’m afraid of anything with the behavioral pattern of clomid (as in make you ovulate but not conceive). Your advice is needed before I place my order, please. Note, my gynae prescribed clomid about 2 years ago to correct my irregular cycle, I took it for 4 cycles and I didn’t conceive but ovulated very well with multiple mature follicles. After I stopped, I usually get annovulatory cycles for the first time in my life. Someone then recommended Fertilaid and ovaboost. Please help me. Thanks.

Good day all. Did anyone pay for WES recently? How did you do that?
Also on the WES application, is the delivery method courier? Or the standard?
Both. You would have to choose the type you would like for them to use.

Hello everyone. Please for those that schooled in schools that don't give transcripts to students (especially ABSU) how did you go about getting a copy for applying to various schools?

You can upload your statement but it is important that your school sends a copy of the statement along with your transcript.

Please renew your passport, I don't think the expired one is acceptable.
OK. thanks so much.

Hello everyone, please I need your help; in registering for ICES assessment, it is required that I upload a copy of my certificate. Thing is, I haven't received my certificate yet. Can I upload only my statement of result? Or must I go get my certificate? And then for my int'l passport page, it expired in January and I haven't renewed yet. Do I upload like that since the reason they need it is to verify my age?

If you're sending someone, please send someone who is proactive and capable of lobbying people to get the job done. Also give the person extra money for tips. He/she may need to tip the typist, registrars sec, computer center people, etc.

Email is faster but do both to be on the safe side. You won't be charged for the email as long as you've paid your normal transcript processing fee. Just request that they email the transcripts before posting and they will do it.

In other words, I should go there myself. cos I don't know anyone that can do this for me there. They have all since graduated. Kai! why must everything about that school spell stress??

I'm sure of WES and ICES. I really don't know about IQAS. You should know that ABSU can send your transcripts to ICES by email and also post it via courier if you want it that way.

If you however, pay for your transcript and post it to WES, and then come back later for verification, you'll be required to pay another fee for verification (30k).

Rest assured, ABSU knows the process very well, the only problem is that their charges are high plus the tips. Just go with enough money sha

thank you so much Queencyco. So ICES is it then. Which is better to ask them to do though, post by email or courier?
When you say "go with enough money", do you mean I must be physically present to start this process?
