All flights to and from London’s City Airport were canceled on Monday after an unexploded World War Two bomb was discovered in the River Thames at George V Dock, the airport management said. Police said that the ordnance was found during pre-planned work at the airport early on Sunday, and set up a 214-metre exclusion zone around the device that evening. “All flights in and out of London City on Monday are canceled and an exclusion zone is in place in the immediate area,” said Robert Sinclair, CEO of London City Airport, the city’s fifth biggest and most central airport. “The airport is cooperating fully with the Met Police and Royal Navy and working hard to safely remove the device and resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” he said in a statement. Imagine somebody just destroyed my app rating on playstore because she doesn't understand! Dropped from 4.5 to 4.38 The app in question is Quick Bank. It simplfy banking operations of all banks using their USSD to perform transactions. Obasanjo is guilty and has spoken as if his hands are clean. I cannot fault him dou. It takes bravery to mention all these knowing that you have played a part in the mess. But the way forward is not pointing out if Obasanjo is a culprit, the way forward isn't abusing Buhari. The way forward is you get a voters card and make sure you vote Buhari out. I was part of those who voted him in, he has under performed, I vote him out. If the next man under performs, I will vote him out too. So Akpan the photographer shouldn't be spared any whip of the stick. But on a serious note, Nigerians should think with their head. Our bachelors are fazed with being debtors because they have to create a wedding atmosphere Our daughters are not married yet because their love is yet to be established to create a wedding atmosphere but he is established enough to run a home. After our weddings, newly weds get HML wishes and some evil gifts from village people who over fed. After honeymoon, new couples starts life in a more modest way to offset some debts. At the marriage in Cana, Jesus was able to turn water to wine because the couple cut their coat according to their size so wine got finished. As for me, am still a bachelor and not ready not only for financial reasons though...But am still nursing the idea of organizing an rich 30-50 people celebration and using the 2million plus I will have to spend to feed multitudes to buy a car for bae! As early as 7am on Monday, the beneficiaries arrived at the Treasure House of God Church, located on Quarry Road, Abeokuta, where the gifts were given to them by the church’s associate pastor, Linus Taylor. The distribution of the food items was preceded by a short service. Taylor told journalists that the gifts were given in the spirit of love. He said, “The programme is necessitated by the love of God and the love for humanity that the founder of this ministry, Pastor Adeseye Senfuye, has for the people. “It is scriptural that we should extend a hand of fellowship to the less-privileged. We have 4,700 gifts for people and the content of a package is meat and rice. We don’t discriminate whether you are a Christian or Muslim. “No political undertone. This is why we are distributing it in the church. We have been doing it for some time now and it increases yearly. Last year, 1, 000 people benefited. This year, it is about 5,000. I am one of few guys who started with Nairaland... u can confirm that on my profile 2007 and I started in 2005 but was only here to read comments back then partly because the jokes section was the only lively place on Nl then. Back then 1. There was no share feature 2. No like feature 3. Just comment only 4. No quote feature 5. Everything was only html, css and php... no Javascript 6. So I stumbled on this Quick Bank App on Instagram @quick_bank and decided to try it out on Playstore... Well the developers made my day! I later discovered that a fellow Nairalander created it. The app lets one make bank transactions using the USSD service that all banks provide...
