Yes, it was my first time, and I showed only my offer letter and Brp letter to the officer.

The only thing that might take time in this is collecting your baggage, for me, it didn't take more than 30 mins from landing to baggage claim.

You are exempted as your first degree was taught in English, you only need your certificate.

If further evidence is required then you can get a letter from your school.

I had the same situation, all my certificates carry a different name from my present name and the name on my passport.

An affidavit and newspaper declaration should suffice

Before you travel, order it on time so it can be delivered before you land or at most your first day, please check your test provider delivery time before ordering.
Also, you will need to fill the reference no in your locator form ( which is filled 48hrs before your intended travel date) so I'll say order it anytime before 48hrs before your intended travel.

This is not true. I know of someone with 3 US, 2 Canadian and 1 Norway refusals that did not declare any. He did not get a not straight forward mail and he got his visa already, he did standard application. It is best advised to make your denial declarations but it is not used to make decisions. Decisions are delayed as a result of barrage of applications as this is the peak period of all applications. CAS are also being delayed at some universities because of the above reason. All will end with testimonies.

Whilst all you have written is kind of true, previous visa refusal is till listed as a reason so saying ''This is not true'' is not appropriate

Yes, I am one of such people but it's still a possibility as previous visa refusal is listed as one of the reasons for non-straightforward application

Nothing is ridiculous, I have an IELTS band 7.5, I got admission and applied for a visa without it, my Bsc certificate was sufficient proof of my command of English.

yes, marriage cert should go under family evidence, I uploaded my own change of name docs under others but since yours is related to your marriage, you might as well upload it there

I don’t know how and why you think at point of entry they will ask you for bank statement. I can understand that most people used POFs from all this agents here and there but know that when you get to the entry point nobody will directly ask you for your bank statement. They ask you series of questions and your answers determines what will be required of you. Have studied in the uk previously and I went on a visit some years back, at point of entry the guy asked me a very simple question with this kind seriousness on his face. I told him you don’t expect me not to know my way have studied in the uk and lived on so so street for so so months. And the next thing he laughed and said yeah that’s right. So it’s your responds and way you react to their questions that will determine what happens. It’s not required that they ask at point of entry for your bank statement. Only exception is if they ask you questions and you no fit answer they have the right to do and undo. So guys chill…! Sorry for this long post..!

Someone told me this yesterday but there has not been any confirmation as to whether it is true or not. You can carry one along if you want to to be safe though.
