You have 90 days to enter the UK as stated on your decision letter and vignette.

What matters is the validity period on your vignette, you can go anytime within that validity provided you don't arrive earlier than a month to your course start date and not later than your course late resumption date.

2. Is a student application for a 40yo with a WAEC level of study possible? Although he has a running registered business and married.

1) Most schools ask postgraduate international students to apply on their portal, not UCAS, check the school you want to attend for their own process

2) Waec level of study? that he didn't attend university or polytechnic? omo I don't know ooh

I recently just got my visa and should be traveling this weekend, is there anyone who has traveled recently and they isolated in a city that isn't their final destination?

Final destination is Edinburgh but I want to Isolate with a family friend in London

You don't only have to take a covid test before departure, you are also required to book a day 2 and day 8 PCR test in the UK before you leave Nigeria.

Ps. Don't ask me where to book day 2 and day 8 test, me sef never book, I am still looking through the gov.uk website, I'll suggest you do the same

Quick advice to everyone

If you are going to book Emirates, go to their local office at VI and book it, also confirm from them if they will truly be flying because Emirates has been unstable lately, they keep pushing their operation resumption date forward and each time they push it, they cancel any booked flight within that period.

I had my booking for Saturday canceled today.

How did you know your visa was approved on the 11th?

You'll see it on your decision letter, the date addressed on the letter is the day a decision was made on your application.

I know it is jare. Wanted to read the legal provision stating it. I believe it used to be on their gov. site before. Like a written rule or code based on which it is now produced on the vignette.

Oh ok, I have read about somewhere some time ago when I was still researching about studying in the UK, including the type of work you cannot take up as a student but I can't remember the link

Mine started on a Saturday, first transaction was on the proceeding Tuesday.

Just try to cater for it when printing your statement.

The link to this has been shared on numerous times on this thread, try to READ alternatively a simple "How to contact ukvi by phone or email" on google (which is what I did when I needed this information) would give you an answer.

My course is a 1 year course

Safe way to calculate dollar equivalent is to multiply the amount in pounds by 1.5

It usually fluctuates between 1.4 and 1.44 so 1.5 is a safe point

I received the decision_refusal email in my inbox. I have not receive the email that passport is ready . tracking on website still show "still at dmc"

later one they responded to my paid email that decision as been made.

In the refusal they wrote

"This means that any future entry clearance applications may also be refused under the Immigration Rules for a period of up to 10 years depending on the type of application you make. The period of 10 years starts from the date that the deception was used in this application for a visa."

I guess that is 10 years ban. Right?

Hi All,

I received a refusal letter from Pretoria today.

Reason they give is that my certificate that i used 5 years to obtain is not genuine.

"You have submitted a 2008 Bachelor of Science degree certificate in your name
which was purportedly issued by the University of Ibadan. However examination
of the document by a forgery officer have led to the conclusion that this
document is not genuine. These checks have been documented in a document
examination report (DER) held by our office. I am satisfied that you have
submitted a false document in support of your application. Your application is
therefore refused under Paragraph 9.7.1 (a) of the Immigration Rules."

They examined scanned copy ooo and reached conclusion. no email for confrimation or verificationwas sent to school because I already checked with school this afternoon.

Please i need advise. Administrative review takes a long time from what I have been reading here. Please any advise is welcome

Sorry about this, did you receive an email for it or it was when you collected your passport you saw it?

An administrative review seems to be the only option, however, if you were not banned then you can also consider reapplying, but first of all get in touch with your school international team, they will be the best to advice you on what to do next and if you will be issued another CAS.

I did mine on the 5th, I was at TLS today, I saw about 3 people who did the same day as me that had received their own mail.

Man, it was transferred to VAC this morning but I'm yet to receive the collection mail.

One take home I have gotten from this is that I didn't read the UKVI website well and I had a misconception, Priority service doesn't mean you would get your travel documents within 5 working days, it means UKVI will try to make a decision on your application within 5 working days, when you collect it from VAC however is another ball game which depends on when a decision on your application was made.

So anybody that is yet to apply or did biometrics recently, if you don't receive a collection mail on the 5th working day, don't panic.

Check your schools' websites, most schools usually have an arrival travel guide for international students. But if you looking for a Nigerian perspective, I'll suggest going to the living in UK thread, you'll be more likely to get an answer there.

Lol, why will standard affect your application? that's like the normal way to apply for a visa.

Priority and super-priority are just fast-tracking methods for people who can afford not to wait for the normal period and they do not have any influence on the outcome of your application.
