Update - I just finished making a paid call to UKVI and the agent I spoke to collected my visa application and contact details. She was really surprised as she said she had not witnessed this before.
She said that she saw that a decision was made on the 2nd of August but she is unable to view the decision as it's 'private'. She told me that I should expect a feedback within the next 15 working days (ideally, she said it should come before then). I believe that it will end in praise!!!

Which school? Almost every school I researched when I was applying for admission had their payment plan in their financial section.

But then we were also worried that if she gave them salaries in pounds like working in UK.. They may say this babe no wan go back..will that affect her chances. Or she should state the amount in naira?

Also where will you like to work? I need to give her the answer pls. I actually don't know much about interviews both my school and ukvi didn't do any interview for me.Thanks guys.

She should search for roles related to course of study online then search for the average salary, like the person that quoted my other message said "confidence, data and google''

I still think its how one presents their application really and the ECO reviewing the application (key factor).

I have a 21 year formal study gap; my visa was issued 2nd day after biometrics, no interview. I made a 360 from my 21 year career too, returning to my BSC field.

A study gap is not necessarily idle years, but one is not 28 or 30 either.
- Detach the mentality of 'its a point based system' - Do more (useful more)
- Attach a detailed CV
- Make a short explanation under additional information
- I attached a letter of recommendation from the body I have volunteered with over the years (my program is in health and social care)

My friend was interviewed because it was his second Masters program (first one was in Nigeria). Another colleague was asked the address of her university and address of her main site of study?? She told the interviewer she did not memorize both addresses but had it printed out and would map her journey a least a week before arrival. She is done with her program now.

There is nothing to an interview, just confidence, data and google.

Go back to your SOP like someone stated earlier today. There are numerous resources on youtube on how to beat these questions. The trick is, from the moment you receive your CAS, start preparing for a UKVI interview.

Thanks for this, I don't have much study gap as I graduated in 2019 and I am yet to be called for an interview (tomorrow will be the 2nd working day after my biometrics, I'm hoping not to be called for one though) but I'll take all this under consideration especially the part about knowing your school's area

Yeah, my friend had the same thing, no master in between since 2005 being her first degree, she has applied for her master but was called to be interviewed on Monday. Could that be the reason ukvi is calling for the interview? I doubt. That has nothing to do with it ukvi. I think Your school is the one that can cause delay in CAS Just because of much gap.

From what I've read, the reason you could get called for an interview is if the caseworker has not been convinced that you are a genuine student through your application, one of which could be the gap between your application and previous studies, they need to know why you are choosing to go back to school after such a long time and what you have been doing since then, basically career progression. 16 years is a lot of time.

Ukvi doesn't have access to your statement of purpose, only the school does.

doesn't the school send all the documents you used to obtain admission to the home office when applying for your CAS number?

I think I shared previously that emirates weren't flying from Lagos to London, it's probably the same for Qatar.

just wait if you have the luxury of time, they might review the policy with the latest traffic light development.

Although I'll just say fly direct, Qatar is most time 20 something hours compared to 6hr direct

You are absolutely correct with cases being peculiar but if you read my statement clearly, Nothing was definite and no one said other people wouldn't get resolution after certain days. I only said "from recent trend" using people on here as case study.

How come some people have already requested for it and were denied the visa for working longer hours than permitted?

Well. From recent trend, people that did biometrics after 25th are having a very difficult time getting a decision and some are even getting an “application not straightforward” mail. So just relax, drink Chivita juice well while we await decision.

Stop spreading news like this, different cases are treated on their own merit, I know someone who did biometric last week Friday (30th) and has received collection mail, there have also been testimonies from others too.

It's worthy to note that this is rush hour, it's possible for applications to delay, I did my own this week and I just gave myself 7-8 working day despite paying for priority to avoid having high bp

I think I told someone previously, transaction history doesn't really matter, I think you need to read the gov.uk website to properly grasp the financial requirements

read few pages above, you'd see refusal letters stating the removal of funds as the reason for removal

The rate fluctuates, just multiply whatever amount it is in pounds by 1.45 to get a safe dollar rate

Personal preference, if you have the money, use it, if not use Ikeja

This list today was about 60 something but most people on the list wrote their names and left so to the best of my knowledge they attended to everyone that was ground for walk in today.

I can't categorically tell you how many people will be there tomorrow from today's list because the whole thing was scattered at the end but get there as early as 5 am, I got there around 6 am and I was no 30 on the list.

Guys before booking any flight make sure that the airline is flying oh, just searching alone will bring results but it won't show if that is airline is flying from your location to your destination

In other news, for all ukvi travellers there has been a change in Green,Amber and Red list. Emirates and Qatar has been moved to Amber list....Best news so far.
