That's why I have considered puting the same new PoF fund in my wife's acct. If the 28days maturation for PoF is not the same are there consequence?

I don't think it matters, as long as both accounts satisfy the 28 days rule

Buy from the black market and deposit it into your account, that seems like the only option as most banks will tell you they don't have dollars (what they told me when I needed $100 for the minimum opening balance, I had to purchase from an aboki right inside the bank there), either that or if you have someone that can transfer dollar to you, they can do that.

Good evening fam. I am a staunch reader of this thread and i have benefited from the information so far. I will need advice from gurus in house.
I am awaiting CAS from UoB. as part of there requirement, i am to submit my TB test, Data page of passport and PoF. I am want to apply with my family. so my PoF should cover the three of us. because of the schools deadlines, i had to do with the Funds with me which covers my Tuition and maintenance only last week without wife and kid maintenance. By next week i will receive additional fund for their PoF. My question now is this:
1. My PoF will be 28 day on 12th and i intend to print on the 13th of august (to have access to CAS), is it advicesable to receive their fund in my acct. then wait till around 24th august to print POF for visa application
2. If yes to above what will be a convincing explanation for this fund and wont it raise alarm or affect my visa application?
2. If no then Is it possible to use Wife account plus mine as PoF owing to the fact that the 28 day maturity will not be the same (wife 28day maturity date will be 24th august and mine 13 august)
3.Pls what do you advice gurus inhouse

If you didn't tell your school you are traveling with family, I'm not sure you need to add their pof to get your cas however you'll need theirs to apply for a visa so the best bet is to keep the remaining money in your wife's account.

If they are applying separately, dependant cannot use applicant's parents

Hi everyone, please i need clarification. While applying for my tb test two months ago i didnt know that I will get sponsorship so I filled the visa category details as visa without sponsorship. Fast forward to now i got a government sponsorship for my tuition and the uk university I applied to is aware of it, do i need to change that particular details on my tb certificate or i should leave it like that and go ahead to apply for my visa.

I read there is a space for additional information when applying for your visa, you can explain there alternatively you can go the safe route and go for a correction at IOM, you don't need an appointment for that and it costs 8500

It shouldn’t matter, a friend of mine did her test in Ibadan and travelled through Lagos. As long as the centre is accredited by NCDC, there should be no problem

Secondly I'm being sponsored by my mother and she has enough funds to cover for both if us but it is in a fixed deposit account. Will that suffice for POF?

Thirdly I'm going to Ulster University Birmingham campus as I've been waiting for UCB to get back and I intend to pay deposit to Ulster this Friday, how's their pre CAS interview like and how long before they issue CAS.

1. I don't know, from what I saw on Saturday, they are very strict with appointments so I would advise you to contact them in advance to see if she can be added to your reservation as family, either that or book manually for her on Thursday

2. I would advise that your mother transfers the money to you as her sponsorship would not cover your spouse, anyone can correct me if I'm wrong

3. I am not going to ulster so I don't know their process or timeframe but here is a link to a page on their website that lists out possible visa interview question, it is most likely the same questions that would be asked in the pre cas interview https://www.ulster.ac.uk/global/apply/visas-and-immigration/i-need-a-tier-4-visa/applying-for-tier-4-visa-from-outside-the-uk, also generally after paying your deposit, your university should send you a pre cas guide, it should be same for ulster

Which one is NCDC test again kwanu, is it different from the normal covid test? If it’s normal covid test then it doesn’t matter where you take it so far it’s at a recognized center

I have only seen dollar and pound cards on this thread, I plan to use a dollar card but if it's a Mastercard or Visa card and you have the required amount, there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

I needed to get the bank statement and I realised that the finds are in a corporate account where I am a director. It's too late to move the finds and wait for 28 or rather, 29 days.
They said they'll provide sufficient information showing that I am a director, and the course benefits the company. But I am still scared. Has anyone tried this before? Did it work?

Omo this is a tough one, safe method might be to wait another 28 days.

Different universities have different policies, go to google search for one that offers the course you want to do and check what amount they require

An academy reference most times has to be your former supervisor or someone that has taught you before and can testify your ability to study your chosen course, so yes, it has to be from the school you graduated from

Guys i did manual booking at iom lagos last month, the date on the form was 20th of july(today), I didnot receive any mail or msg to confirm the booking since last month. I was there this morning; they said today is holiday but they will work tomorrow. Now the issue is i didn't receive any mail confirming the booking, how do i plead my case tomorrow now? Since i have to be there tomorrow again. I need ideas

If you are lucky, your name would have been added to the main list

if not you will have to wait till they finish calling the main list, then tell them you didn't hear your name and you did the manual booking, then they will bring out the raw manual booking list and call names from it

PS. This is what happened to me on Saturday, you might get a different experience

Walk in is strictly for biometrics. Priority or Super Priority is for the duration is going to take to get visa decision which is 5 working days and 1 working day respectively.

The purpose of walk in is if you need to do biometrics asap and don't have much time to wait till appointment date.

some people have plans of things we want to do before resumption, getting biometrics done on time gives them chance to do those things

Imagine doing your biometrics in August and waiting for 15-20(for some non-straightforward application) working days, by the time visa is out, you'll be rushing to meet up.

there's also the part of having enough space between the time you get your visa and your departure date so as to get cheaper flight fares.

Let people do what they want to do.

This question should be directed to your school or school representative, different schools have different requirements but if your school is asking for POF then you have to wait 28 days.

ECO uses application date, not biometric date.

Ethiopia is a red list country, my advice for you is that if your ticket is refundable, kindly cancel it.

If you enter the UK on that flight, you will have to pay 1800 pounds for a quarantine package.

Book virgin or BA which is direct or Airmaroc as morocco is in the amber list, but my advice is direct flight as the air Maroc is just as expensive as a direct flight.

Go to their office and inform the guard at the gate that you want to book an appointment manually, he'll direct you to where you'll fill the form (This was how I did mine)

The dates at the gate might be far so according to some people on this thread, you can wait till around 2 or 3 pm and inform them that you want to get a closer date, show them evidence so to why you should be given one and they'll book you for a closer date (ps. I don't know how this second one works, this is just based on what people have said so take with a pinch of salt)

I don't know, I'm also planning to make my application this coming week but if you read up, some people on this thread have stated that for Ikeja center, you'd have to get there early, if you are lucky you'd get in if not you'd have to put down your name for the next day.

as for the public holiday, you'd have to contact TLS themselves
