kelizosuy:
Oh.. OK
Her fontanelle is closed oh.. And she eats, pee and poop well.
Will just chill out.
Thanks
Pictorial post alert

The best way to prevent a sunken fontanel is to prevent the most common cause of it, which is dehydration. Some tips to prevent dehydration include giving your child adequate amounts of fluids and seeking medical help if you have a sick baby who you believe is in danger of becoming dehydrated. You should also increase the amount of fluids given as soon as your baby vomits or has diarrhoea ( if this happens at all)

In humans, the sequence of fontanelle closure is as follows:

The posterior fontanelle generally closes 2 to 3 months after birth;( around the back...say almost 'ogo in Yoruba')
The sphenoidal fontanelle is the next to close around 6 months after birth;( close to the ears)
The mastoid fontanelle closes next from 6 to 18 months after birth; and( close to the neck area)
The anterior fontanelle is generally the last to close between 18–24 months.

If still unsure, check with your paediatrician to be absolutely safe.

Yay!!!!!
So tested and trusted now.
Ginger, honey and lime juice for cough.
Personally I don't use this mix for my kids cos I'm not too sure they will accept it. I've never used it for my kids.
I use the palm oil and sugar for them

For catarrh for adult o, I use mint leaves, fresh or dried (no need to enter Spar, all these mallam that sell salad stuff sell it too, boil water, pound the leaves including the stalk and put in the hot water, allow to steep, sieve and add honey. Drink and watch the catarrh fly away, cap it with vapor rub on the bridge of your nose. kiss

Taymi

Nobody shuu comman be asking me extra questions o, how many tablespoons of honey, lime or lemon, how many should I squeeze, how many times in a day, can a one day old baby use it,can a breastfeeding mom use it, can a pregnant woman use it? angry angry angry
eerrrm...can it be used as contraceptive and how often? weekly/monthly/yearly, tongue

zimunachimdi:
Happy sunday wonderfully made mamas.

Pls i need tips /answers on the following.
1.how to potty train my son. he will be a 1yr and 5months by next month.

Potty training requires loads and loads of patience...keep putting him to potty as mamas have said but if he refuses like my son( he uses his to drive round the house instead, never sat to poo or wee) who after many trials of getting him to use the potty, I just thought to try taking him straight to toilet and he willingly and gladly pooped, since then, no turning back ..... then give toilet straight an option but, you must always be there to guide him.
It's only toilet he uses ( i only ensure i have hand wash in my bag anytime i am out of the house as he doesn't like the look of wipes too and that's some 6 months back thereabout)

2.I want to change his milk from peak 123 to ordinary full cream peak. hope it is in order?

3.is liquid milk good for his age. peak is the only liquid that i know which is full cream, others like three crown, olympic are filled evaporated. which one is better?

Not used liquid before only peak ( i tasted peak123 and it was too sugary for me so i didnt use it)and loya ( powdery form).

4. I cant hear a clear word from him yet. no papa, mama, daddy etc. hope I am safe?

He has been communicating though might not seem much to you. As @2 years, my son started saying only mum, babe and da-ddy but, used lots of sign languages esp to poop and wee...he is 2 years and a month now and he says every with just a month difference...even sings worships songs as well as cartoon rhymes now and he hasn't started school yet . Your dear son is fine.

5. I love you all. My regards to the family.

so I came down wit d flu dis morning my nostrils r blocked, d mucus are thick lick shoemaker's gum, my throat is dry and my eyes chai.... its swoolen especially d part wia ipin(I don't knw d English word) comes out from. now my DD pemisire has been sneezing and sounding as if she has cattarh. pls way out wat drugs can I use or any home remedies. d headache is banging. tanks
[b]

oh oh @ shoemaker's gum...that's a major tool for my footwear jobs ooo.

sorry ma'am...you can try these tips for yourself

1.Drink Up
Get plenty of fluids .It helps break up your congestion, makes your throat moist, and keeps you from getting dehydrated.

2.Steam Up
You can loosen up your stuffy nose if you breathe in some steam. Cover up head over a bowl/ bucket of hot water( add some Robb) and breathe slowly through your nose but, be careful.

3. Stay Warm and Rested
It's especially important to get rest when you first come down with a cold or the
flu as this helps your body direct its energy to fighting off your infection.
Stay warm if necessary.

4.Gargle With Warm Salt Water
It moistens your sore or scratchy throat and brings temporary relief. You can try half teaspoon of salt dissolved in a cup of warm water four times a day.

5. Drink Hot Liquids
They relieve your congestion and soothe the inflamed lining of your nose and throat.

You can also make noodles and drink up the 'noodles soup'( I barely use the seasoning powder but add some ginger, lil Cameroon pepper and carrots if you have available.

Honey and ginger too is a perfect choice but you can't take honey if you are still breastfeeding because of your baby.

For your baby, steam inhalation too would work but you have to be extraaaa careful because she might not stay still. I would recommend getting some part of towel in hot water with mentholatum in it.

Squeeze out and place close to her so she can inhale .

Breathing moist air helps loosen the mucus in the nose.

Or

Give your child a warm bath in a steamy bathroom.
Let a hot shower run for a few minutes before getting the tub ready.

Let her play in the bath as long as she likes (supervised though)

If it's not a convenient time for a bath, simply turn on the hot water in the tub or shower, close the bathroom door, block any gap under the door with a towel, and sit in the steamy room with your child for about 15 minutes.

Dunasy, I don't think I have a husband anymore,
I really wish you well...have you spoken to your mum and dad? you need all the emotional support you can get and also need to be strong for your daughter & unborn child.

You should start taking prenatal drugs already....
