I did my introduction march 17, 2019(hubby's birthday). After intro, we were suppose to do our wedding December but my mum and dad said 'No pregnancy , No wedding'. I never took it serious because I am not ready to have a baby and be schooling. Moreover, I wasn't 100% ready for marriage because I needed and wanted to complete my masters program. Then after couple of months, hubby started disturbing that he wants baby... but I was still protecting myself until last year DEC when I decided to comply with him. So we started doing the do. March came and monthly period refused to show. I did several urine hcg test and got plenty -ve results. I went for blood test on April 1st and got same -ve result. So I decided to report to my mum and dad that I av not seen my period for march and April and I kept getting -ve results anytime I test. My dad wasn't happy so he called mama alagbo to ask what the problem could be cos my dad trust herbs more than oyinbo medicine...the woman told my dad to allow me do another test so as to confirm if it's not pregnancy oooo before she can do agbo(herbs mixture) for me. My Dad bought me 2 urine test trip. To cut the long story short, I got positive for the two tests. I called hubby and informed him about it and he was completely happy. Just to confirm, I went back to the same hospital on May 8th for scan and I was told I am 10weeks pregnant.

First trimester came with nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite which made me to reduce from a 100kg to 94kg within 2 weeks.

Second trimester was nice to me but still not much appetite but at least no more vomiting. Meanwhile hubby took over the kitchen and started the cooking, cleaning and washing of our clothes. He was there all through. God keep blessing him for me.

Third trimester came and was still fine until I got to 36 weeks... I started having force contraction and malaria also joined, I cried and cried because I kept loosing weight.

At 39+ weeks, my gynea did a membrane sweep but still I did not fall into real labor. So I was induced at 40weeks 1day which was Sunday, 13th DEC at time 3: 25pm. I started feeling contraction around some minutes past 7pm. I was taken into delivery room at around 9pm. The doctor checked me and I was still 3cm. Then Around past 12am I was already 6cm dilated. I was given oxytocin at past 1am, then the doc checked me again at 1:55am and said I am 9cm. Then Immediately, I heard her and my sister saying 'we can see the head, pls push'. With 3 pushes, my baby boy came out crying like the baby he's at 2: 10am. Placenta came out 2-3 minute after. I was cleaned and my very tiny little tear got stitched and we were moved to the new mum ward.

Good morning everyone, Great healer has done it again for me . I had two miscarriages this same year , and exactly a Month after I wrote this here , I tested positive again. I will go back to the Gynecologist because he said immediately I get my postive result, I should run down to the hospital. Pray for me that I will carry this one to full term.
I always log in to this site everyday to read people messages.
I never gave up . Thanks to all for your words of encouragement and prayers the last time .
I will share the good news with my Gynecologist Today.
The lord that did mine will answer all that are TTC in Jesus name. My first Christmas gift from God. Love you all

The hospital she had her baby transferred her to a teaching hospital, my fear is will the hospital have the necessary equipment for surgery.please does anyone know about this birth defect , survival rate and surgery in Nigeria?

my Edd was 5th/6th December...
I started having contractions like three weeks ago, with little mucus discharge here and there...
Went to the hospital and they said it's false labour..
Some of these contractions comes so strong I can barely walk...
Saturday and Sunday was 5/6th yet it's just contractions that comes and goes...
I'm just coming from the hospital now, I was checked, the nurse said there is progress, I think it's 1cm, she advised me to go home, eat and rest.
She said I could put to bed later today, if my contraction comes stronger, Amen�
I really wish it does come today, I'm already experiencing insomnia at night.
I can hardly sleep and I'm awake urinating, talk more of diarrhea I started having..
Seems like anything I eat makes me run to the toilet...
Remember me in your prayers mummies, I must surely testify..

2020 has been an amazing year for me as i started the year rough with a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks but I am ending it amazingly with another baby.

second week in January I was about 11 weeks pregnant and bleeding started, was placed on some tablets and bleeding didn't stop went for a scan and the scan said missed miscarriage, went for a repeat scan two days later and it was same eventually had to be evacuated. I eventually missed my period in March and I continually did home test for one week until the faint line became thick. I started folicacid as this was March ending during the lockdown. at the 8th week bleeding wanted to start and I returned to the hospital in the heat of coronavirus and was given tablets to use to strengthen the progesterone. bleeding stopped afterwards. all trimesters went smooth no admission in hospital, no morning sickness , no vommitting or spitting. on Wednesday evening at around midnight and saw water on my body I thought I wewed on myself for a second and got up and went to the bathroom, I realized the water didn't stop but it was coming very little like urine. I dropped my daughter at the school and headed to the hospital since it was my antenatal day. immediately I got there told them I was draining water and immediately they took me to the doctor to check me , she examined me and said she didn't see the opening of the cervix but sent me to the scan room, the scan showed that the water was adequate and not draining. the doctor however said since the water was still draining they would have to admit me for 24 hours . I was admitted in the afternoon at 12 midnight the doctor came to check the water and realised the pad was still soaked and immediately they said it is time for the baby to come out as the water has been draining for over 24 hours and I was already 38 weeks and term. misoprostol was administered at 12 and contractions started I was at 4cm at 4am and another dose was administered . the drama started around 6.30am when they checked and they were like they were not sure of the baby position. she was facing headdowns in the scan but during labour she faced upwards. around 4am another misoprostol was administered and the contraction became intense from around 5am. around 6am was moved to delivery ward to be checked, I was already 6cm so they plugged all the ctg machines on me to monitor heartbeat and baby's movement at a point the doctor was saying looks like the baby has presented breech when she did her vaginal examination. later the consultant was called in to check around 7am and they realised her hands was on her face. OMG they shook hands inside my VJAY and was pushing her hands away from her face OMG Jesus another pain. I was connected to oxygen I wanted to urinate when the contraction intensifies they would beg me to hold it so I don't damage my urinary system , after they pushed her hands they allowed me urinate and they checked I was 9cm around 8.30. the consultant now said they should deliver the baby within the hour, they disconnected the oxygen and rushed me with IV energy glucose because I had not eaten. oxytocin and buscopan IV was also given as the doctor said she wants the contractions to become stronger.

the pains ehn but I held on and just kept hitting my back and rubbing the nurses hand and they just kept checking the heart beat of the baby. at 9.15am I was fully dilated and they told. me they would be calling in the paediatrician to attend to the baby after delivery because of the position she was in and the duration of water leakage.

time to push they said when I had the contraction and felt like I wanted to poo I should go ahead, first second , third and immediately during the third push they saw the head and said I should sustain the push as they cannot do much because her face is up wards so they don't injure her. oh God I sustained the push but ehn that was my first shout and immediately they just had to tear me for her head to come out and she slid out immediately , they administered another oxytocin injection again to contract the uterus and handed the baby immediately to the paediatrician to check her. I delivered around 9.25am weighing 2.5kg and the placenta was also delivered some minutes later.

they administered two more injections afterwards one around my VJay to stich me another was administered and I told them I felt dizzy immediately and they said is the injection, I remembered them stitching me and I was looking but afterwards I blanked out cannot remember anything else other than I woke up around 1.30pm . I remained on the delivery bed and when I woke up they came to wheel me to the bed to rest. we were discharged on the third day. they kept us because baby was on IV antibiotics infection was found after they did whole body count cells and they also wanted to reverify that there was no jaundice.

My pregnancy journey was a very smooth one. Just vomiting in first trimester at evenings, thats all. No sickness at all, all tests were on point.

Second trimester, attimes i forget I'm even pregnant apart from the bump. My tummy wasn't obvious till like 6months.

I tried as much as i could to be very active, tried not to skip my routine drugs. It wasn't easy but i kept trying. I never fell sick all through.

As a FTM, i was always scared of the whole labour process. This was particularly made me decide to do whatever it takes to make the process less complicated.

Fast forward to 36weeks, i went for antenatal. Doctor said from 37weeks baby is no longer considered preterm and i can fall into labour any moment from then. I got home o, told hubby and out of excitement he called all his people to tell them to expect baby from the next week. I just looked at him and laughed cause i know the drama waiting ahead. Me that was not even close to edd, what if baby decides to come at 42weeks.... Anyway, as expected when no sign of labour or anything, his people started their drama. MIL called him one early morning and was asking if we were sure baby was still ok and when last i did scan. That the baby har overstayed. Hubby got upset, i told him its his cross to bear. I hadn't even gotten to my edd sef.


At 38weeks 6days, i went for antenatal. The doctor said if no labour by the next visit, he ld do a membrane sweep. The following antenatal, 1st of December, 39weeks 6 days. I went to the hospital with hubby. The gynae decided to do a scan first. That was were the story changed. Baby was weighing 4.19kg. I was not happy, because i had put in a lot of extra work, i took long walks, climbed stairs like it was punishment, i ate dates daily, ate pineapples too and did everything i could just so labour would come, see where it landed me. The doctor said we had 2 options. To opt for CS or try induction which was not advisable since it was my first child. Whichever i chose, it had to be done the next day. It was good hubby was there, cause the decision had to be made instantly. We decided CS was a better option. That night i cried my eyes out. Because i never wanted CS. I was wondering what i ate that made baby big because i tried to control what i ate all through. Though the gynae said its not always food and that i was a big lady, so i shouldn't expect a small baby.

2nd December, i carried myself to the hospital. Cs was booked for 3rd. Still scared cause i hadn't had a surgery befor. I hardly go to hospitals, never been admitted. Never taken even drip my entire life, except maybe as a baby. So the whole process was scary.. The surgery went well, i was singing victory songs all through. Baby came out very weak, water was draining and i didnt notice. She had pooped in the belly and ingested a part of it. I was scared. The gynae was like, the cs was the best option as the baby wouldn't have made it if i tried vagina delivery.
I told him God made the decision not me.
She was weighing 3.9kg at birth.

In all, i thank God for being there all through. To other pregnant women in this forum, we ld definitely hear your testimony soon.

Hmmm,a gynae/sonographer insulted me today all because I pulled down my nosemask when he was doing the scan and talking to me...I was not in the right frame of mind and acted unconsciously. I was even telling him about the miscarriage I had.....

He insulted me like I was a child,I didn't even say anything because of my state of mind and he is an elderly person,I even apologised,he shouted and even told me I should carry my bag and go home ...he was meant to interpret his findings to me but he dismissed me and said i should go meet my Doctor.the scan wasn't free o,N3,000 and I was ridiculed on top.

I haven't been this humiliated all my life,he was so rude and unprofessional.its not his fault sha,sebi it's TTC,if I had my baby with me now,will I go for the scan.How I miss the baby I lost

God is indeed faithful to those who truly believe in HIM. This time last year (I lost my first baby November 10th) I was still mourning the death of my baby that died 3 days after her birth as a result of complication at birth but with the help of DH we were able to find happiness and reason to thank God for everything. By December DH was to travel out of the country to complete an unfinished business in which I was left alone with his sister who do come and go, during that period I just want to make myself fit and get prepared for the arrival of DH for us to try another baby but was known to me and my brother who wanted me to conceive as quick as I can.

DH came back in last day on the year and I was desperately willing to conceive by tracking my ovulation period and using folic acid. I got a new job which I was happy but was sad the first day I resumed my new job because colour red came knocking likewise the following month. At that moment I told God that I don't want to see this anymore for the next 9 months for good reason so by mid March I tested positive and I broke the news to DH and he was so happy. I registered at a CAC Maternity home and general hospital both at Igando, did scan and other necessary tests.

First trimester was more than being smooth for me, no symptoms I just vomited once and second trimester as well but third trimester was partially painful due to pelvic pain, to stand up from bed and turn became war but because hubby is a very fragile type I do keep it to myself in order not to scare him.

Delivery
The first scan I did gave me 15 as EDD while by my own calculation is 18, the second scan gave me 18 but maybe because I told the sonographer my LMP sha I can't say. Two week before EDD I saw show so I told hubby thinking my baby was coming in the next 24hrs but Google told me otherwise and I was calmed until I saw one of our teamie that saw Show the same day I saw mine and she gave birth the following day which made anxiety to set in for me because no labour pain except false irregular contraction that lasted more than a week.

The day of my delivery God really shown me HIS mercy, on the 18th I went to our church preggy woman prayer meeting I was the only one that came so I told my pastor that I'm due so he prayed inside water for me and told me that I'm giving birth tomorrow which I quickly claimed with faith so Itrekked home instead of boarding bus and I aggressively ate dates fruit before going to bed. At 4am which was on the 19th contraction started but didn't took it serious because I was thinking it may be normal false ones I've been having but when I remembered what my pastor told me I started timing it but I do remember to start it when contraction start but forget to stop it when contraction stop so I just kuku abandon that one. After cleaning the house and cooking I decided to tell hubby but wasn't serious about it because it was not that painful so when it was 2pm I came here to asked questions which some mama told me to do little exercise so I told hubby to on gen for me that I wanted to dance which I did after but do squart whenever contraction hold me when it was 4pm I took a nap but couldn't sleep deeply by 5pm I stood up, swept the room and sitting room, clean the kitchen and washed the dirty dishes and head to bathroom to scrub it while at all these hubby was screaming at me to let us leave for the hospital, midwife calling hubby and I but hubby is not aware because I'd silenced our phones deliberately because I don't want to be sent home back or do exercise at the clinic, I preferred to be with my husband at home to do whatever I needed to do to fasten my labour instead of them shouting at me (I told her earlier about how I was feeling that's reason she was calling for me to start coming), after scrubbing the bathroom I sat down under the shower screaming and praying for mercy while hubby stood looking at me helplessly, the pain became to intense, I rushed to the room screamed at hubby to let us leave for the hospital with tears and loud cry while wearing my cloth, couldn't stand properly anymore, I sha managed to enter the car, we drove down to the maternity home (my bag has been there for almost a month), we got to the hospital at exactly 6:30pm I couldn't walk anymore shouting at them that I want to poo hubby and the mid wife were able to put me in bed, I was given a drug under my tongue, the pain became unbearable but was still able to be dialling the nurse number whenever it relieved me, the nurse arrived and told hubby to assist them to on the gen, when the three of them left I put my hand inside my jajana I saw my baby head, I screamed for hubby and the nurse name, the nurse came in while hubby was still trying to on the Gen so I told the nurse that I saw my baby head but I need to poo first so from afar (she was putting on gloves) she told me to poo there without hesitation this hot heavy smelly (I'm sorry for this) came forth with my baby after two push before hubby and the midwife could on the gen. It was my baby cry that draw their attention that they both left the gen so see where that loud baby cry was coming from, hubby seeing his baby knelt down praying and crying and the nurse gave the baby to us to pray and after that we were both cleaned and we were discharged 7am the next day because hubby doesn't want us to stay long since the nurses said we were both fine and I don't want other preggy mother's to see me because it's our maternity prayer meeting day.

THIS IS HOW GOD CHANGE MY NOVEMBER OF TEARS TO NOVEMBER OF HAPPINESS.

I should have submitted my BS as promised but my baby's condition has made me so down, confused and stressed. I never knew my water has drained completely. In fact I can't say how it happened. I decided to go for inducement and thank God I did because I gave birth to him without that special water. Though the process was quick because God did his wonder and due to the fact that I was already 3cmdilated but the hospital keep telling me I should wait for more days since the pain is not so severe. Since on Thursday I gave birth. My baby has not made that baby cry, he has refused to suck,all he accept is drops of water. Doctor said he will be alright that is a gradual process because he is very weak due to the drained water. In fact I can't sleep well,all I do is stare at him, shed tears and pray to Allah to make him alright. At least to take breast milk. So that he can recover on time. There is also a trace of tiny blood on his two eyes. Was told it will clear in its own. All he does is sleep and I think it makes him more weak. pls we need your prayers.

I guess when I was sick prior to labour, my water do come with my urine whenever I urinate because I still can't say how it happened. Pls make una manage this because I am not in my right state of mind right now.
