To think of that some nigerians would rather die in suffering than protest against a tyrannic government is really laughable sha. Some fools will rather buy fuel to oppress their neighbors than to speak out like niger republic are doing. And na them no even get shi shi for account.

Anyways whatever, i ve got a couple millions in my aza waiting to be spent and i never supported tinubu so whoever wants to die should die already. Nonsense
Hope you know that your millions doesn't keep you safe in this current Nigeria??

Why do you want to impose more suffering on the average Nigerians?

Removal of fuel subsidy is not a do or die affair. Labour must consider other options open to it.

Nationwide strike is not the answer please. grin grin
But they tried to use dialogue and the government took them on a fool's ride na. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think government and the labour should look into price control.

The government should also allow our refinery work

They should also give us stable power supply
Your last two statements look like abracadabra to our past leaders till date. I remembered that legendary statement that "we will make electricity stable within 6 months", their 6 months never reach. Like APC like PDP, àwon olè gbogbo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is what I mean.. I will involve other figures because it isn't so simple.. You are student in terms of thinking compared to my professor jare cheesy
Bobo, just give one example na??
The argument was clearly defined from the start, Abacha is corrupt the same way Idi Amin was corrupt. I'm not here to argue who's more corrupt between the two of them.

Why didn't you talk about the others I mentioned? ALSCON? Rails? Seaport? Powerplants? Take examples of what's happening in Niger Republic.

Niger provides about 20% of the uranium used by France. The uranium from Niger is used to fuel France's nuclear power plants, which provide about 75% of the country's electricity.

Niger owes Nigeria about $18.29 million for electricity supplied in 2022. This is according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). The debt has been accumulating for several years, and Niger has made only sporadic payments

Tell me again, what has western countries does for Africa? It's time to chat a new course. If I have the resources and you have the technology, I shouldn't be struggling to get your paper money with my resources. I should be enjoying the resource too.
I will still repeat my last statement again, if you like don't develop your country, continue to wait for the selfish West, Russia and China to do it for you. You will wait tire. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You seem to have a difficulty with nuance. The discussion isn't just a binary one.

I am not pro military, I hate all military dictators. But some are worse than others.

While Idi Amin had some positive qualities I would argue Abacha by comparison had none.

Gaddafi was in many respects a military despot but all Africans know he did good by his people and the continent.

There are other military dictators who did good things like Park Chung Hee who was responsible for the 'Miracle on the Han'. Whilst repressive he led South Korea's massive economic expansion. Samsung, Hyundai and others all have their origins in his rule. Deng Xiaopeng is another dictator who laid the foundations of China's massive economic expansion.

When it comes to military leaders sadly it isn't always so black and white. Another interesting stat for you is that most industrialised nations today never industrialised as democracies. So it is even less clear cut.

Like I said read a few books understand history before making faulty comparisons. Have a good day.
Dude has decided to extend it to the world in general. For every good military leader in the world, there are about 2 more good political leaders. Say na read history book and you dey yarn dust. Nelson Mandela na military leader bah. Abeg swerve with your military leadership mindset. And while you're at it, you can include Adolf Hitler in the equation also since has the Germans at heart while forming his propaganda material/policies too. 🤣🤣🤣

Ajaokuta steel plant work

Nigeria has been aligned with the west fir more than 100 years. Did they get these?

The steel plant was built by Russia
Rails, airports, seaport are built by china
Our commerce is mainly from china
Nuclear power plants is built in Africa countries by Russia

Where do they expect us to get the money to stock food and drugs at home??
Foolish people they just want to sabotage and create more hardship for Nigerians, God will punish all of them.
Most if not all of the people in the category you mentioned have increased the price of their goods/services, the workers under the government are the only ones yet to get an increase in the value of their services despite the increasing cost of things. Hope you get me bah?

Sorry Oga, Idi Amin expelled groups that weren't loyal to Uganda. He also gave assets formerly in hands of foreigners to Native Ugandans. Power may have ultimately corrupted him, but he did some good by his people.

While Abacha by contrast died in the hands Asian prostitutes. He gave nothing to his people, ran economy into the ground and stole until there was nothing left.

Learn your history before making false equivalence. The world knows of Amin because he did right by his people and that upset others. No one except for Nigerians gives a damn about Abacha...
He did good by his people by living lavishly and feeding fat on his country's resources. You don't know what you're saying sir, the same person that would rather print more money to furnish his expensive lifestyle when there's no money instead of cutting down on the excesses.
Our political leaders in Africa are corrupt quite alright, but their military counterparts haven't done any better when they came to power too. The military regimes even enjoy more power than the politicians sef. For an African country to sit straight, you just need the judiciary to start the momentum at worst. Once the judiciary is out of the grasp of the political leaders, their power is limited to some extent. Is their any hope of such if the leaders are appointed by military regimes??
You can't be an African and will still be clamouring for the military in this current age, that only imply that this continent has no hope again. Like Idi Amin like Nigerian politicians.

Not that I support military rule, but can you also mention 10 civilian leaders in Africa that have turned their countries around?
Or can you also mention 2 civilian leaders in Nigeria that have done same?
We want real democracy in Nigeria. What we have had in Nigeria since 1999 cannot really be called democracy. And Tinubu was definitely not elected by Nigerians but fraudulently installed as President. Tinubu has no right to threaten the Nigerien coup plotters. He himself carried out a coup in Nigeria.
I can give you at least one civilian leader whose hands reach far even into our present age:
1. Obafemi Awolowo, even though he wasn't Nigeria's president he set the precedent for free education we've all come to know in Nigeria.
2. Almost everyone I know agrees that Umar Musa Yar'Adua would have progressed Nigeria on the right path. If you have a counter opinion to this, you can voice it.
I still repeat, give me 2 examples of a military leader in Nigeria that was good.

Lemme ask you a question, the June 1993 general election is still taken to be the most free and fair election in Nigeria, yet the winner of the election never ruled Nigeria even for a minute. Do you know who ensured that, the military yeah. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Idi Amin was different to Abacha he actually cared about his people. Abacha only cared about himself..
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, expecting a military leader to remain in power for years and still keep the people at heart is like expecting a one in a hundred scenario to happen.
Yeah, Idi Amin cared about his people by living lavishly while his country men were wallowing in poverty.
Let me ask you a quick question??
Do you know that Idi Amin was aware that the president of Uganda before the coup wanted to arrest him for misappropriation of military funds??
That's your definition of a man that care about his people. You people sef. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

In fact going outside Nigeria is too much sef, mention 2 military leaders in Nigeria that fulfill the criteria you mentioned. Turn around enjoyed by various governments and Africa?? The Government in Niger is more legitimate than what we have in Nigeria at the moment.

It is clearly military rule.

What do we call the government in Nigeria?

Clearly we cannot call it Democracy as nobody elected Tinubu, not even his Yoruba people.
You guys are always fond of contradicting yourselves cos you're looking for cheap likes, attention and validation. You same set of people accused the Yorubas of voting by tribalism during the last election, yet about 59% or so Yorubas voted for Tinubu, while 89% or so Igbos voted for an Igbo man. Now the song is not even the Yorubas blah blah blah. None of these politicians are really worth the troubles you're putting yourselves through, I pray y'all learn and your eyes get open one day.

When the Democratic Government punishes the people who elected them by looting the common wealth of the people US, ECOWAS, UK, EU will look other way but the moment military takes ove to sanitize the system the UK, EU and US will start roaring. Even TINUBU that committed a democratic Coup is also roaring while sitting on someone's mandate.
You're the same as the UK/US you're calling out. Since the military have been taking over control in African countries, is there any positive impact it has on those countries other than setting back the country by a decade??
If development is by the number of military regimes, Nigeria should be level with European countries in terms of development. Both the civilians and the military are all corrupt.

That's an unfair comparison. During the death of the Queen, there were guests from all over the world coming to the UK. In the picture above, Putin invited a few African leaders to a meeting in Moscow.

Besides, the UK is a country that takes strict steps to manage their resources, unlike broke African countries living an extravagant lifestyle. When Boris Johnson was the British PM, he often travelled in the economy class of British Airways, but a broke Nigerian president always flies a NAF jet anywhere he goes.
Angela Merkel, the former Chancellor of Germany also led a humble life too. Not only does she live a humble life now sef, she shop for groceries with average citizens without a care in the world.
Our senators alone are getting paid more money than the leaders of several countries whose GDP are far better than Nigeria's, but what concerns some propagandists is the vehicle our leaders drive abroad even amidst the untold poverty that a lot of Nigerians are plunged into by the ruling elite. Misplaced priorities. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
