The guy did not ask for forgiveness, did not explain the issues he was having - he just went incommunicado
The person who was granted a loan of N150k by "a friend he confided in.." is in a different situation
Lending money to a stranger requires a very very large heart. And it exposes the lender to "possible ridicule" when there is a default

In Nigeria, we always advise people to take easy with crooks when there are plenty of people doing backbreaking work or simply suffering (eg widows, women abandoned by their husbands etc)
Those require our "forgiveness" - sparing them some thought, give them money, encourage them with kind words - but nobody speaks for them especially as they are unable request anything on social media

But in the spirit of Ramadan, I, as a Muslim, respect your decision
