That's one thing i don't like about fellow Nigerians.
The typical African man will commend good things, and optimize for the best.
But for 9ja, no way! People once said that Ohakim's 10,000 jobs was lies, now they said it's politics.
Am beginning to believe that the man is a good man, people are just against him which is not far from normal.

After all even the kingdom of God suffereth violence.
I thought you have been holding brief for him? why are you telling us now that you are beginning to believe him, before nko?

Na who dey talk about unfinished job?,wey dis extra 4yrs is when all governors will pack the whole money to go.Some fools are talking about 10,000 jobs that it is a good thing while in the real sense of it ohakim used it for politics not to help the jobless cause he was afraid that rochas is coming out.If not for the fact that rochas was coming out for governorship,ohakim wouldn't have given youths the job,the main aim of that job is for the 10000 youths and their families to vote for him during election.If Ohakim come to that seat again IMO this time will be like the old ghananians
@Amaechi you made a lot of sense, all these 10,000 jobs are nothing but political gimmicks, I know a couple of guys that received job letters over 4months ago up to this moment nothing has happened, I know a lady that was among the first set that received theirs at Owerri the very Saturday afternoon Ohakim declared his interest for second term as writing this nothing has happened all they receive is test msg urging to intesify their support  to Ohakim in order to actualize their jobs. Even the 27 LGA chairmen, since sworn into office September last year as well as the councillors have never received half of the allocations meant for the various local government Areas, that is the will sign for it but would receive less. Ofcourse they cannot raise an eyebrow we all knew how Ohakim hijacked the elections in their favour so they should try to deal with it. One good thing that will happen to Imo State if Ohakim is ousted through the polls is that 1. the next governor and every other politician in Imo would learn how to lead and not rule the Imolites. 2. that  4yrs is not too far and the people will punish them again with thier mandate. 3. power of incumbent is gradually becoming a thing of the past. 4. most importantly if Imo State still want to hold on to zoning system, any concerned zone must ensure they present a son or daughter that is credible, that has a good past records/antecedents, and that has listening hear especially to the downtrodden . Lets see how the Friday 6th may election will go, but at the end of the day the people of Imo State have made a serious statement is ti will be very difficult for Ohakim to RULE Imo State again.

Please let's put the interest of Imo above every other interest. I see change and I acknowledge it. The changes are in motion and he is asking for our support to complete it. If i was not reasonable, I would have joined others in calling for his head, but I wont because I love Imo, so lets all support him to complete his second tenure and leave in peace
Must Ohakim go for second term, even if it is so glaring that he under performed? I was one of the people that voted this young man 4yrs ago in a re-scheduled election, little did we know about his past and antecedents, all in a bid to meet up with the zoning formula in the state and also to stop "the Ugly" (Araraume) and we unfortunately ended up with "the Bad"(Ohakim) thank God this time around we have "the Good" in contention. Rochas Okorocha is the best thing that can happen to us at this point of our political history. Ohakim had his 4yrs in a platter of gold, i mean without campaigns or spending kobo. My brother every day no be Christmas nah, we can give another 4yrs of our lives to that Gbagbo.

Since the SE/SS seem to be sweet on PDP let's see the PDP Governors WIN come Saturday!!! WOOHOOO
@Kobo SE/SS voted basically on ethnic line last Saturday, every other parties within the states came together for GEJ. CPC had no single agent in all the PUs of the above states. As for the guber election the serving governors that did well in thier states will definitely be returned for example Rivers Amechi and Enugu's Chime. There will be no guber elections in Bayelsa, Cross River, & Anambra State. (court decision for tenure duration) so the battle grounds now is for Akpabio vs Acn, Udeughan Vs Dpp, Ohakim vs APGA & ACN, Orji vs ACN, APGA & PPA, Elechi vs ANPP.
PoliticsRe: Why Do You Support Goodluck Jonathan For President? by Eagle75: 12:11am On Apr 05, 2011
I support GEJ because he is the best among the lot. more so he is humility personified, which some peeps mistook for being weak. He employs human face to problem solving, as well as listening ear. He is detribalized and very liberal. A symbol of unified Nigerian states.
GEJ is what Nigeria need at this point in the history of Nigeria, he may not be the Messiah but am sure he is the Fore-Runner. GEJ is the only PDP candidate that i will vote for. my guber goes to APGA, state H. assembly goes to ACN, NASS undecided but either APGA or ACN, I'm having a closer shorts at their candidates.

The so called debate was a movie.with part 1,2,3 and 4.

Any body who support GEJ obviously does not fully understand the predicament of Nigeria.
Any body who support GEJ is obviously not objective enough .if he is fighting corruption ,what is waziri still doing at the EFCC?,
Answer me who are the allies of GEJ or will a man make a forest.?

If you understand the dynamics of leadership,you will realise that Nigeria does not need Mr Nice who want to please everyone but a decisive ,visionary leader who is willing to take his nation to the next level level of development and ready to make the required sacrifices.

As a true Nigeria,i want the greatness of this country and we need men courageous enough to bring about the desired change.

GER is choked by corrupt elites who benefited from the inefficiency of the system.And mr GEJ cannot look at them straight in the Eye.

it so so pathetic.!!!!

Vote for change not religion or ethnic affiliation.
Let us make Nigeria greater.
@Autoking
And who is the change?
PoliticsRe: Bon Presidential Debate:was It Ok by Eagle75: 1:44pm On Apr 01, 2011
Kobojunkie:
I disagree! That the 3 candidates announced clearly and to the nation that they would not show up, affected this debate in no way. NEDG, if it were really serious, would have shuffled the candidates about as it probably did anyways considering two of them rather than being moved to debate with Jonathan were disinvited instead(Lord knows why an I hope we find out soon).

And honestly the quality of questions asked, and the responses were appalling. Imagine the question on corruption and the response a sitting president gave millions of Nigerians who corruption continue to rob of a chance at a better life.

So, yes, he was probably able to reach many more Nigerians, and yes, the questions were extremely easy for him, even though his responses were primary-schoolish but I don't think that the missing candidates were responsible for the monologue. NEDG probably!
@kobo
It will take a mind like yours to decipher all these points, though it seem more like behind the scene to me, but on stage the populace perceived a different image altogether. As for the the NEDG questions to GEJ I have one word, FRIENDLY.

@uche 13
you definately have a point. their showing up would have been a plus for them hopefully. however, goiing through the charade again organised by the NEDG i am not so certain that these guys arent bias. if they are on the payroll of PDP, dont you think their not coming would have been a blessing in disguise for them
@Demdem
I think their not coming did more harm than good, and if at all there was any plot to favour GEJ they would have forestalled it there and then or cried foul for all to see. In fact they were carried away by the level of support they got from people on NL & FB. Though i read a lot of post from this forum warning them not to blow this opportunity for what ever reasons, whether you called it debate, monologue, interview, project defence, or whatever, they just made it very easy for GEJ .

You have to look beyond the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections. I sometimes think the House and Senate elections together with the local government elections may be just as important as the Big Two. A targeted campaign at loosening the PDP stranglehold is in order.

Exceptions can and should be made for obvious visible performance. After all, the aim is to weaken PDP not to destroy it. Defeating the PDP at the center is a very good start.

PS: I agree with you on Gov Amaechi.
And gov Sullivan Chime of Enugu too.

This is the end of PDP oligarchy ogun state. Amosun is the next Governor.infact,PDP is no more in south west they have finished if care is not taken.at the National level they will loss gallantly. I believe so much in the integrity of Buhari/Jonathan they are not desperate and i must confess that if Buhari win the election president Goodluck will handover honourably and he will be conferred Noble peace prize also his name will enter Guinness book of record this is enough for a selfless as the best black man this honour is enough for for him.perhap is a good man with impeccable integrity but people around him are his problem. i known they will advise him to rig but he will not and this will make them halt for life wait for PDP SHOW OF SHAME.
If Jonathan wins nko? Buhari will settle for the Noble Peace award and also the Guniness book of records, as the longest contender in th political election. LOL.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Scarcity Hits Lagos And Abuja by Eagle75: 5:06pm On Mar 20, 2011
Some folks on NL in their bid to score some cheap political points are just not making sense any longer, otherwise how can you tell me for the fact that fuel Scarcity hits Lagos/ Abuja for couple of days, and for some obvious reasons is now a minus to GEJ.Meanwhile it has been resolved ooh and 35 States of the 36 States plus Abuja that made up Nigeria did not witness the scarcity at all.

There is a difference between primaries and general elections.

Where Atiku or IBB to be facing GEJ, it would havve been "Sai Atiku or Sai Babangida"

@bk.babes97y Dude, can u just shut the fuxck up, log off, or kill urself if u got nothing better to say?

Do not get yourself all worked up, D dude said the truth and you know it.

Today, I finally made up my mind to vote and convince everyone around me to vote for BB! I have always thought GEJ had real sense until today. My primary school teacher would not have acted this foolishly. And come to think of it, Ojo Madukwe was telling us yesterday that GEJ will be at the debate. Good riddance to bad rubbish! The future of Nigerian youths is much brighter than to allow these elements ruin it. Vote BB!!! There was B03 and B07. However, BB 2011 is a combo of 2 good heads; who I hope will take us to or at least nearer the honey field than before. As for me, I'm done with GEJ!!!

Who cares.
