Sagna is the only person that clears the ball away from the box, the others just pass it around, Flamini should hurry and recover. |

Apparently the Enugu airport is already causing low patronage to Lagos as less people now need local connecting flights. Kudos to Stella Oduah for decongesting our airports. |

Siena: I love older Yank tanks. I owned a 1974 Ford Mustang back in the day, great car. I'll get another US classic hotrod at some point, love 'em.
The Americans build huge engines with big power, due to the much lower cost of gasoline. When it comes to handling though, the Euro models have the edge. Which is why even a US-spec Mercedes-Benz gets trounced by the equivalent model. US-spec cars have softer suspension, and are geared more towards comfort on long interstate trips.
Build quality of Euro cars is still unrivalled by that of the Americans. The gap has closed in recent years, but Europe is still ahead. The average American will own some reall nice hot-rod, or modern NA offering, but will still admit Euro boxes are better put together. Talking about closing gaps, the Koreans are hot on every ones' heals. |

Education › Re: Nigeria Army To Establish School Of Language by eaglechild: 9:46am On Oct 22, 2013 |
Area-Fada: Excellent move.
Nigerians do not know what they miss by speaking English only as a foreign.
I have been saying this for yes. We have this Anglophone arrogance that everybody speaks English.
People's reaction in many countries when you try speaking their language has been impressive. Actually been able to speak makes your stay much more fun.
There is a whole lot of literature out there (never quite same as translated versions) that we miss out on.
However, these foreign languages should be done in tandem with local Nigerian languages.
But there are jobless French language graduates out there. Why not do targeted recruitment in the meantime? Good point you raised in your last sentence. The only problem is that those that can speak French may not want to join the army, but if by any means they do, they should be given some preference. |
