can you break than the cost here. let them give me the amount 80% of Enugu town will get water in the next months, the pressure pipe is already there.
I can't give you cost implications.
I lived in the city when I was younger and the population was about 5x less. We had uninterrupted tap water.
Water for Enugu is piped from Ajalli the nearest sustainable water works, a distance of 30 km!!, From the city, using large pipes.
Most part of the city had tap water up to early 2000, even now some parts of the city still have running tap water.
With tremendous population growth and city expansion, coupled with non proactive governance, public water supply became unsustainable.
The past government tried to partner with the world Bank to see if they can at least maintain supply to the older parts of the city, which met limited success.
They relaid some pipes and did some test runs but a new government came who had other priorities, I guess the cost implications and lack of dedication make them look the other way.
Solving water problem in Enugu is doable but will be very expensive and will need total dedication.
It is ABSOLUTELY NOT a private individual project.

Is Enugwu the only mountainous city in Nigeria?
When drilling boreholes in Enugu, you have to go deeper than the regular borehole depth used in other places with flat land.
The only problem is that it costs more.
That's not the only problem.
When you get to ground level you hit coal not water. When you even get to water level, there are no aquifers and if you hit any aquifer it is not portable.

Mummyfour:
The last time I traveled by air, I missed my flight because of that useless " intention please" that that yeye woman will be saying.
I was at the airport 1 hour before boarding.
I was sitting at their departure but I didn't hear when they announced my flight
After like 4 hours, I was complaining that they had delayed the flight only for a concerned passenger to tell they had called the flight..I went to that useless Air peace stand to confirm and lo and behold it was true..I almost died.
I had to pay a " no show" fine.
All my appeals fell on deaf ears and I had to join another air peace flight.
Getting to Lagos, see my luggages that were already on board the flight I missed scattered on the ground, because I wasn't there to claim it.
Thank God nothing was missing..it was a terrible day for me that day honestly.
Air peace no dey try at all and besides isn't it high time they taught that lady that announces flight how to pronounce words properly ?
Wetin be " intention please'? mcheeew
Lol
Sorry you missed your flight but the story funny.
Airpeace is not responsible for the announcements. That's airport staff FAAN.
Rule of thumb when you are traveling by air try and identify one or two people going same route and keep an eye on them. Even if you don't hear they will always alert you.

It wasn't trying to be humorous. I don't know what I don't know and I'm not trying to hide that.

But what I do know is that your conclusion is wrong. There was nothing in his statement to infer that he is saying Fayose is broke. He was just saying "treat your citizenry right, because you're not going to be there forever ". It's that simple. No need to read some convoluted meaning and project your prejudices into someone's statement just to signal your "wisdom".

So summarily, I don't know, you don't know. Only "the fat boy " knows exactly what he meant. But what you said was on another tangent.
Absolutely right
He veered off from the message
CelebritiesRe: Cubana Chief Priest Reacts To Fayose's Photo On Okada by eaglechild: 8:36am On Oct 21, 2021
ethicallyright:
Any "Nigerian" who has been a fourth republic Governor in Nigeria, even for a month, can buy a Private jet.

Look at Fayose's phone which is captured in his picture on the bike.

A vip direct helicopter shuttle in Nigeria costs not more than NGN 250,000. His phone can pay twice for that if he didn't just want to use the Bike.

Remember the old man in Squid Game? 001? Remember how he craved his youth when he could play with his friends? He had everything but wanted to experience the days of his early beginning.

The fat boy's perception of life is limited, like that of most Nigerians. Those who should build beautiful mansions close to green vegetations as their homes would rather a tiny concrete ugly rat hole in Lekki which has been devastated by lack of good drainage systems, as well as noise and air pollution from its ghetto surroundings just to feel among.

If you don't understand the point in my preceding paragraph, I am trying to state that the Nigerian problem is that Fat Cubana genuinely believes that an ex-governor should not use the road an average Nigerian uses and anything other than that means that the ex-governor is broke.

That is a very wrong mentality from someone who wishes that Nigeria should be restructured to be like the developed society (where a parliamentarian walks with his legs house to house soliciting for votes).
You created a narrative totally different from the message being passed by the person who made the comment.
I don't need to jump on a bike to beat traffic to Heathrow.
I just need to plan my travel time using the regular transport route.
His comment has nothing to do with Fayose being poor but being a victim to the system he failed to fix.

Bro!! I'm also a medical student with few friends studying in Europe. It's a two way thing sha, it largely depends on the country you're going to study, whether you'd get a license to practise after you're done or not. Like Ukraine, you can't practise because of language barriers and others so you'd have to return to your country and trust me, mdcn exam no too easy to pass so .. studying in Nigeria has its advantages too, you go know "stuff" seriously. They may say naija na scam and all oo but naija medical school is a field that prepares you to practise medicine anywhere in the world. I'm in clinicals so I can say so for sure. Please, do just run to any mushroom country in Europe to study medicine oo, your best bet might be to come back to Nigeria after you're done so... If I'm to advice as a senior colleague, just finish this MBBS here, you're almost done. The only issue that lies before you now is path and pharm, after that you're already a doctor so... After you finish, you can confidently seat for any licensing exam and be sure you'd do well. But then, if you don't intend to practise medicine, you're just looking for survival then I'd suggest you japa sharply. I just hope I passed my message well. Good luck bro
Finally someone with first hand experience is talking.

Best advice.

Eastern and Western Europe are different.

A Nigerian medical certificate is still valued and licensing exams will be easier for him to pass.

Foreign AffairsDuke Of Edinburgh, Prince Philip Dies At 99 by eaglechild(op): 12:11pm On Apr 09, 2021
News from BBC UK just announced the passing away of HRH Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip the husband of the queen of England.

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, has died aged 99, Buckingham Palace has announced.

The prince married Princess Elizabeth in 1947, five years before she became Queen, and was the longest-serving royal consort in British history.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."

The couple had four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Queen is mourning the loss of her "strength and stay" the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, who has died aged 99 at Windsor Castle. He was two months from turning 100.

Prince Philip has died peacefully at Windsor Castle at the age of 99, just weeks after he was released from a London hospital and reunited with the Queen.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who had recently been treated for a pre-existing heart condition and an infection, died on Friday morning, just two months before his 100th birthday.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

"Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss."

The flags in Downing Street were lowered to half-mast following the announcement.

The Duke of Edinburgh was once described by the Queen as her "strength and stay" and has been a constant presence by her side for more than 70 years.

Born in 1921, Philip served in the Royal Navy and has become known over the years for his jokes and gaffes.

After he first met the Queen, Elizabeth "never looked at anyone else" and once Philip proposed his destiny as royal consort was sealed.

Putting aside his own career ambitions, he proved his strong sense of duty serving the country through hundreds of engagements every year, refusing to stop working even in his 90s.

https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1263038.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Prince-Philip-The-Duke-Of-Edinburgh.png

He became patron or president of 800 organisations, founded the Duke of Edinburgh Awards in 1956 and won a place in the nation's hearts for his no-nonsense attitude and witty quips, or "gaffes".

He leaves behind four children, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchilden.

Philip bowed out of public life in August 2017, retiring at the age of 96 with 22,219 solo engagements to his name.

It was perhaps an unexpected path for the boy born on June 10, 1921 on the Greek Island of Corfu and descended from Greek and Danish royalty.

While not exactly from humble beginnings, Philip's childhood gave no clue that he would one day be the longest-serving British royal consort and a key figure at the heart of the world's most famous Royal Family.

His mother was Princess Alice of Battenberg and his father was Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and he was their only son with four older sisters.

His family was exiled from Greece when he was a baby and Philip was educated in France, Germany and the UK.

He eventually joined the British Navy in 1939 age 18 and served in the British Forces during WWII.

Elizabeth and Philip became secretly engaged in 1946, but the formal engagement was delayed until Elizabeth turned 21 in April 1947.

He changed his name to Mountbatten - the anglicised version of Battenberg - before the wedding in order to sound more British and they were married in Westminster Abbey on November 20 1947.

It was not long before the couple became parents with the birth of Prince Charles in November 1948 shortly followed by Princess Anne in 1950.

But on February 6 1952, a huge responsibility fell on Elizabeth's young shoulders when her father died and she became Queen aged just 25.

From that moment Philip's life also changed as his role became to support Elizabeth in her official duties.

Much later he admitted to the BBC about the job: "There was no precedent. If I asked somebody, 'What do you expect me to do?' they all looked blank.

"They had no idea, nobody had much idea." Nevertheless he worked to carve out a niche for himself.

Two more children followed - Prince Andrew in 1960 and Prince Edward in 1964 - and Philip assumed the role as head of the household at home if not in official life.

In public, he may have walked a step behind his wife, but there can be no underestimating the importance of Philip to the Queen's reign.

As she said herself in a speech for their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1997: “He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know.”

Mass ignorance.
While this culture was once mainly due to the respect for the python. It has carried on and most indigenes still observe it but not necessarily as obligatory but as a laudable conservation practice.

I see this practice as a very important one that has sustained the balance in the ecosystem.
Ball pythons are harmless to humans, infact they are extremely important in keeping the rodent population in check.

This balance is so critical that the Lassa fever belt and most rodent transmitted diseases are significantly lower in parts of the SE that have this practice.
Case in point, it is not practised in Ebonyi which is a Lassa fever hotspot.
In terms of welcoming visitors ball pythons are attracted to warmth just like many cold-blooded animals so it is a no brainer that it will gravitate towards a warm area where there are humans, especially as it has lost its fear for them.
In many developed countries including the UK, snakes are protected and you may end up in jail for killing one.

Horrible design
The sides of a bus stop should be transparent to alert oncoming buses that passengers are waiting, that way they know to slow down on time especially if it is raining and passengers are taking shelter.
It is a critical design flaw in this case, I pray someone reads this and rectifies it.
Should also be a flexible and possibly partially moveable structure
