That's true. His personal physician left him in the Carribean when he refused to leave even after his vacation time was over and the Doctor's estacode was depleted. Dont forget that the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting was going on for the first time in Nigeria and the President was nowhere to be found.

Have you ever thought that he and other Yorubas could have been killed, just like the Hausa-Fulani were killing the Igbos in the North. Even the Northerners in Igbo land were given safe passage back to the North.
He fought alongside Biafra because he chose to. He was in the military and fighting was his trade (according to him).

Interesting.

The part where he said the Easterners were not chasing him from the East, is really an Eye opener. The truth is, if i were him i probably would have stayed back in the East and fought on the side of those that freed me from Prison.

He could have been killed when the Eastern Soldiers Soldiers met him in Prison.

His interview, also confirmed to us what we had known for a long time, and that is, ZIK and other top Eastern Politicians were tipped off by the Eastern Coup Plotters, and that is why they were conveniently not around, when they struck.

I have also followed the stories, and the name calling of those from the West as "COWARDS" as this years. But, reading this story now, will tell you it was actually the East that played a fast one on the West, by hiding their own Politicians while killing those from the North and West.

A very interesting interview.
According to him, you can't conclude they were tipped off. For instance, he said Zik was sick and had to travel days before the coup.
.
Moreover, if you really check for Zik's history, he has never been in the country when any coup was being carried out. Just like OBJ has always managed to escape unhurt in all the coup that has happened. And sometimes emerging at the last minute to benefit from such coups.

Politics › Re: Why I Fought On The Side Of Ojukwu, Biafra – Lt Fola Oyewole by eagleeye2: 5:21am On Jan 10, 2016
I have always read anything that has to do with the Biafran war. I real don't care about who is right or wrong, but about what happened. We could argue all day, and still end it with "the war has come and gone".
According to this man, a veteran of the Biafran war, who fought on the side of Biafra, I will give it to him in being as objective as possible.
.
We, the Igbos were not ready with arms and armaments but we still proceeded to war. Though the manpower was there, but like he rightly pointed out, Manpower alone doesn't win a war.
.
I will give it to Ojukwu and the Igbos in treating others fair. Go back to the Federal side if you want, but some chose to stay back. I doff my hat for people like Banjo and this Oyowole who decided to fight for Biafra. It's no mean feat.
.
Why wasn't ABURI ACCORD implemented? That has always been a nagging question. Maybe, we wouldn't know the whole details. I wish Gowon could say something, at least explain things/ events that led to the accord being dumped.
.
It was actually Bifran civilian populace that was feeding the soldiers and not the other way round. I have always known this, because my mum workes with Caritas then. But, some will like to distort that fact for their own reasons.
.
WAR IS NOT ABOUT WHO IS RIGHT, IT'S ABOUT WHO IS LEFT. So blame Awo for all you care, it still doesn't remove the fact that he DID WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS BEST FOR THE FEDERAL SIDE TO WIN THE WAR.
.
Are we ready to get things righthuh I don't think so, not with this animosity building up in the youths of every tribe in Nigeria.
.
Is another war the answer? NO.
.
I still believe that DIALOGUE, True Federalism, Non Quota system, Regionalism, Confederation, Referendum and other civil actions is the way forward.

OP, the first question is HOW MUCH ARE THE MARKETERS GETTING THEIR PRODUCT?
Even, TONIMAS that sold @120 the other, see rushing. Mind you that TONIMAS is one of the big marketers in Aba and it's environs.
Apart from Forte Oil at Express and Ogbor Hills, I doubt there is any other marketer that sells at the new pump price. And even at that you have to buy their Oil before they sell above #2000 worth of fuel to you.

@ theV0ice, now this is a "source" to take seriously. But the old man says the money came from Anenih. If he didn't get it from the ONSA, then I see no reason he should be vilified. Much as we desire to see a total cleansing of the system, we should be careful not to persecute innocent folks who collected monies to prosecute their party's agenda by way of campaigning- all parties spend money to campaign.

I hope Buhari has the 'Political Will' to throw all those mentioned into jail. No one should come and tell us that "if found guilty" mantra. They have been found guilty by the Media, and Buhari and EFCC should do the needful.
By the time this media trial is over, we will be hearing such names as IBB, Abdulsalami, The Sultan of Sokoto etc. I JUST HOPE NO ONE WILL START SAYING NO NEED FOR MEDIA TRIAL. Dasuki was right in demanding for and OPEN trial.
Politics › Re: N50m:Editor’s Guild Will Respond To Obaigbena’s Allegations Against Me – Adesina by eagleeye2: 9:55pm On Jan 06, 2016
wirinet:
You are very dishonest and a pathetic lier. Who called Nduka a thief because NPAN was mentioned? People called Nduka a thief because he turned the office of the National Security Adviser into an insurance office. He collected almost N1billion for Damages done to his companies offices in the north from Dasuki. Dopesi said he approached Jonathan and Dasuki personally and solicited to do a media campaign for PDP. All we heard after was that Dasuki paid N2.1 billion naira of public money from money meant to purchase arms to fight Boko Haram. We are not told why Dasuki was using money ment to procure arms to do political campaign for PDP, we are not even privy to the contract details or terms of contract. Even PDP denies knownlegde of such contract.
Meanwhile, the N50 million was paid to Nigerian Guild of Editors as donation towards the building of their secretariat. The Nigerian guild of editors consists of many editors, is Nduka and PDP saying that all dues, money and donations made to NGE goes into the pocket of the chairman? Is NGE a property of Adeshina?

PDP are just throwings dirt around hoping to stain everyone to justify their filthiness. Even if as they erroneously imply that Adesina stole from Dasuki, is that an excuse that they would use in court to exonorate Dasuki, Dokpesi, Nduka himself and all other PDP members who collected money for no justifiable reason?
First thing first. There is no need calling someone names before making your point. Your post is a good read, until the last paragraph.
The question I raised was, why can't Adesina as the Head of NGE at the time make a statement instead of referring is to wait for NGE. Is the Guild of Editors a Human Being? Who are those in the NGE that are supposed to respond to us.
*
So far as PDP are defending their people and APC is doing likewise, this very country NIGERIA will keep moving in cycles. And nothing will be achieved.
Politics › Re: N50m:Editor’s Guild Will Respond To Obaigbena’s Allegations Against Me – Adesina by eagleeye2: 4:54pm On Jan 06, 2016
Itsekiriman101:
What Nigerians are turning this discussion to just shows me that a country gets the rulers it deserves. Maybe the thieves in GEJ's government is what Nigeria deserves. Or else how do you explain that a leader decided to fight the hydra headed monster that has ravaged this nation for so many years (corruption) and we with our own mouths are fighting the leaderhuh. The Federal Government (and not the NSA) donated N50m to the guild of Editors for their secretariat. For Obaigbena to be bringing this as a discourse is a ploy to divert our attention from the real issue of the hundreds of millions that he collected for his own company. NGE is not a company but a group of Editors which has a governing board. It is not and cannot be owned by Adesina.
It is hypocritical that when NPAN was mentioned most people called Nduka a 'thief' / ' Yam eater'. When AIT was mentioned everyone shouted that Dokpesi is a thief. But when Tinubu's company was mentioned, it becomes a LEGAL ENTITY separate from the JAGAGBANTIS. When NGE is mentioned, we are being told to wait for NGE to respond to us.
My question;
Is NGE a Human Being? is it not human beings (AKA homo sapiens) that act on behalf of NGE?

If the war on corruption must be effective, there should be NO SACRED COWS.

You are joking, right? Wike was equally sacked, and fresh election was ordered. My point is, both Ikpeazu and Wike have the right to take their appeal to the supreme court. My friend, you are confused.
The guy you quoted was right. The Rivers Gubernatorial elections was declared null and void, and a FRESH ELECTION was called. But in the case of Abia, the Appeal Court sacked (removed) Dr Ikpeazu and asked Dr Alex Otti to be sworn in as the Abia Governor elect by INEC.
.
There can't be a Vacuum in Governance, that's why Wike can still stay on as Governor and pursue his case to the Supreme court. If Dr Ikpeazu stays on as the Governor, he will be disregarding the Judgement of the Appeal Court and that is why I said earlier that it is an Invitation to Anarchy.

Ikpeazu still has an option of appeal at the supreme court, so why won't he at least obey the judgement of the Lower court (Appeal court)?

OP, this is an exercise in futility. Since it concerns VINTAGE PRESS you will be asked to present the following:
1) Certificate of Incorporation
2) Number of shareholders
3) Names of Shareholders
4) How many shares does each shareholder have in the company
5) who are the active and dormant shareholders
6) who are the directors
7) which person collected the ALLEGED money
cool Is there any witness to the ALLEGED transaction
NB
Even if you were able to provide the above, you will be asked to charge the people involved to court. That they are INNOCENT until proven otherwise.

Next time when you see any news concerning the JAGAGBANTIS or any of his going concerns (Enterprises/Companies/Business) kindly ignore it for your own health and peace of mind.
