Buhari is their god...... and the midget will trace you and arrest you. |
RIP to the children. It started as "making his government, ungovernable"...... Today, he is no longer there, but the fire is still raging on. |
Nigerians have blasted President Goodluck Jonathan over the paltry reduction in the price of petroleum product from N97 to N87, saying the reduction is not commensurate with the fall in crude oil price globally. Others say the president decided to cut the price of petroleum in order to win the heart of Nigerians to vote for him at next month’s election. Speaking with P.M.NEWS , Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo said winning election was the reason Jonathan decided to reduce the price of petroleum product, describing it as a last minute deception and a panic mode to warm himself into the hearts of Nigerians. . . . “All over the world, including the United States, pump prices of the products have been adjusted and Nigeria should not be an exception. So, let nobody, including the president think that political capital can be made out of this in this election period. It will never happen. “After all, the pump prices are supposed to be reduced by half given that the crude oil price reduced by more than half. The truth is that Nigerians are still being cheated even with the current reduction. Let us fight for further reduction instead of celebrating this unfair treatment,” Igbokwe said. . . . Also, the APC in Oyo State has rejected the slight adjustment in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), describing the development as hypocritical |
Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola Saturday canvassed a slash in the pump prices of oil products as global oil prices continue declining. He wondered why the government has said nothing about reducing fuel price as the price of the raw material used in producing it has dropped significantly. . . “I understand I am not an economist; the federal government are the economists. But I have some logic and common sense to ask critical questions. For instance, if one buys flour at N10 per kilogramme, and the bread was sold at N1 per loaf; if the price of flour drops, the price of the bread should also change,” he argued. www.informationng.com/2014/12/declining-oil-prices-fashola-demands-reduction-of-petrol-price-from-n97-per-litre.html |
FORMER Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.” In a telephone interview with Vanguard , the former minister argued that Nigeria produces millions of barrels of crude oil daily, and if properly harnessed will boost the performance of the industry. His words: “I want to assure you that by the time he takes over, petrol will be dispensed at N40 per litre. This is possible and he has the credibility to make it work. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/buharill-reduce-petrol-to-n40l-david-west/ |
bloodyBLOGGER:Seriously, I am WONDERING WHY HE HASN'T BEEN JAILED. |
bloodyBLOGGER:You can call GEJ all the names in the world, it doesn't take off any skin off my nose. . We can all turn a blind eye to the ills and mistakes of our Leaders Collectively and decide to insult those we feel we should insult. . The guy you are so busy abusing, will always remain an ACHIEVER WHERE YOU AND YOUR GENERATIONS UNBORN ARE. |
wirinet:My reply is this: 1) If it was the constitution, why then are we all crying and kicking that they did not Save? . 2) Anambara may not be a PDP state, but ex Governor Peter Obi saved. |
wirinet:My dear, I am not insinuating anything. But merely trying to point out that, the opposition which was then in the mold of AD, CPC, APC has always had an ideology of SHARING and not SAVING. Whatever we are facing today, we should share the blame on both the Opposition then (now ruling party) and the leaders then (now opposition). They are all culpable. |
bloodyBLOGGER:Now that you have realized that it's OBJs tenure, it has turned to the FEDERAL MINISTER and not GEJ, and I am now an IPOB youth. Continue with your bigotry. |
wirinet:Please understand that share and share and more sharing has always been the ideology of the Opposition as far back as OBJs time. This thread is focusing on OBJs time (2005) and GEJs time. You can all insult GEJ for all I care, but the ideology of AD, CPC and APC has always been, don't Save. Rather share. |
bloodyBLOGGER:Your bigotry is so powerful that you can't even read before commenting. The OP is making reference to 2005 when OBJ was president and Tinubu was Governor of Lagos state. |
DropShot:The OP is making reference to 2005 when OBJ was still president. So it has always been APC, AD CPC ideology to share and share and never save for a rainy day. |
If I were to advise GEJ, I will simply ask him to sue the Economist. |
TippyTop:They never believed they will win and that GEJ will willingly relinquish power. Thus, they never prepared for Power at the Presidency. |
Lest History is Rewritten. |
Nigeria’s Opposition Wants to Scrap Sovereign, Oil Funds Nigeria’s main opposition party said it will scrap the country’s sovereign wealth fund and a separate excess crude account if it wins elections in February. “We’re going to put a stop to them,” Lai Mohammed, a spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, or APC, said in an interview in London yesterday. “The sovereign wealth fund and the excess crude account are illegal.” The $1.5 billion sovereign wealth fund, called the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, was started in 2011, with the ruling People’s Democratic Party saying the country needed to save money for future generations. The Excess Crude Account, which stands at $4.11 billion, is used by the government to cover shortfalls in its budget and give foreign investors comfort the state can guard against a fall in the value of the currency. Foreign investors closely monitor the excess crude account, which has helped attract high portfolio flows to Nigeria in the past two years, according to Esili Eigbe, Lagos-based head of West African research at Exotix, a frontier markets investment bank. “Part of the reason you’re seeing a push for Nigeria is because of some of the shock absorbers,” such as the account that holds oil earnings above a budget benchmark, he said in a telephone interview. “You have to look at this in the context of the household. The household without savings is vulnerable to swings and shocks.” Central Account Nigeria’s constitution requires that all government revenue should go to a central account and then be shared among the federal, state and local governments, according to Mohammed. Allocating money to the wealth fund and the oil account deprives state and local governments of resources needed for development, he said. Former Nigerian Vice President and APC leader Atiku Abubakar last week announced he would run for president of Africa’s largest economy and biggest oil producer in the Feb. 14 elections. The APC was formed last year following the merger of four opposition parties. It is scheduled to choose its presidential candidate on Dec. 2, said Mohammed. “Five aspirants have indicated their intention to run for the top ticket” including former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Kano state Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha and newspaper publisher Sam Nda-Isaiah, said Mohammed. The opposition party says President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has neglected tens of millions of Nigerians who live in poverty, and failed to deal with an Islamist insurgency that has killed thousands. The PDP has been in power since military rule ended in 1999. |

Discharged and Acquitted of all Charges. Afterall he belongs to the right party and have made his peace with the powers that be. |
dustmalik:Because it's not from the Nations Newspaper? |
I see. Seeking for deal in Dasukigate. . “With open trial, the whole world would know that so many people were involved in the arms deal.”. I will say it loud so that the deaf can hear. LET DASUKI HAVE HIS DAY IN AN OPEN COURT. SAY NO TO A SECRET TRIAL. . If GEJ is found guilty, so be it. All this deal making doesn't cut it. |
Akainzo:There have been cases where ones lawyers turn against their client. In Nigeria nothing is impossible. Let the press be allowed to cover Dasuki's trial, so that we can be sure of what is going on. Moreover, lawyers are not pressmen. |
Akainzo:A SECRET TRIAL IS ONE OF THE WAYS. Most of Dasuki's interrogation at the DSS was done in the absence of the Media. But someone privy to the details of those interrogations, made it available to the Media. If the FG wanted things to be kept quiet, the Media wouldn't have had this Much information. And I am sure Dasuki has also said some other things that this government doesn't want us to know about and are very afraid that Dasuki will reveal in an open court. |
Akainzo:The Media has already tried Dasuki. Let Dasuki have his day in an open court. All these excuses don't cut it. If they were afraid of security secrets being revealed in an open court, then they should have cautioned the Media. |
If FG wanted a secret trial this much, why then did they allow the media to run amok on this Dasuki saga. If GEJ is the one they are trying to protect, I think they have already failed. Cos the Media Court has already found him guilty. If not guilty by committing the crimes, guilty of supervising such a monumental crime. . PLEASE TRY DASUKI OPENLY. |
nwadiuko1:Why will I want to pull him down? What will be my gain? Am I SR or Alex Otti? smh |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:In this case he may have omitted paying his tax. Ana aru ya aru. |
Prest2005:Gbam. You know him. |
francondu:No hé wasn't a civil servant. Rather à public servant. |
It's God's turn to be blamed. |
