Crime › Re: Why We Shot Abia Kidnappers In Their Private Parts – Nigerian Police by eagleeye2: 3:15pm On Dec 24, 2017 |
Bollinger: That is not the point. There are rules the police have to use when arresting suspects. Remember this when they descend on innocent civilians ooo. That is exactly the point. If we all support and cheer on NPF for this, how then are we going to condemn them if they act in like manner to innocent people. Human rights is sacrosanct or not. We can't overlook human rights in one case, and try to fight for it in another. |
Crime › Re: Why We Shot Abia Kidnappers In Their Private Parts – Nigerian Police by eagleeye2: 3:10pm On Dec 24, 2017 |
SmallmebigGod: The headline is definitely misleading, they were in gun battle with kidnappers that doesn't care where the bullet hit, groin or head. This ur 'normal countries' even if a suspect shot at them engaging them , they won't care using anything available to catch him including a gunshot if that's what they could use. You are saying they should announce their presence to someone who already shot at them. Policemen are someone's father, someone's husband and someone's children , you can't expect them to be using tasers when the other side hold Ak47 Read the whole thing again. The police already overpowered the criminals. The question is, why shoot them all in their genitals? That is where the human rights violation comes in. |
Crime › Re: Why We Shot Abia Kidnappers In Their Private Parts – Nigerian Police by eagleeye2: 3:06pm On Dec 24, 2017 |
SmallmebigGod: We are not there to ascertain that they were shot at after being overpowered. The victim lost his life here from torture by the kidnappers and we are here fighting for them bad guys The news said they were overpowered, and no we are not fighting the NPF for arresting those guys. But for human rights violation. |

LagosismyHome: If they are really kidnappers then POICE Carry go
No sympathy here .... hoping for more news like this If the police were to be the Prosecutors as well as the judges, why then go we shout when the mete out injustices on the innocent. There is a reason why human rights is enshrined in our constitution. |

SmallmebigGod: Hatred for police taken too far.
Are we saying the police shot at during the operation have no right to fight back. Are we saying the man kidnapped has no right tonne defended This is not about hatred for the NPF... The police already overpowered those criminals. The question is, why shoot them at their genitals? The kidnapped man will have justice when those criminals are rightfully convicted in a competent law court. Otherwise the police are no better than those kidnappers. |

This thread a diversion to the scorching fuel scarcity all over Nigeria. Since Innoson vs GTB is gradually dying down, they need something to keep the igbos away from the glaring failure of their savior and messaiah. |

wilcox: Will this get to front page for people to see how low we've been reduced by our so tagged leaders, I weep for this contraption called Nigeria. How come nobody is talking about this man inhumanity to man? Are we really going through this with eyes open? What has happened to that spirit in us that always lead us to shout "over my death body will such happen" please I need where I can enrolled for a course on how to start a revolution ASAP Sorry to break it to you, the politicians have divided the masses along tribal and religious lines. And the middle class who are suppose to champion a protest or voice out against injustices have been carefully eroded through economic sabotage. So we only have the rich and the poor, there is no more a middle class in Nigeria. Either you are rich or you are poor. And when you are poor, protest is the last thing on your mind. |

Diiet: if you had read the article with open mind, you would have seen why i'm supporting the Bank. Oga, need to tell me more than 'open mind'... A bank that has already agreed that they over charged the tune of 559 million (according to the banks own internal auditors). The bone of contention was that innoson insisted on being paid the amount and the interest that accrued to it at the rate of 22%, the same rate the bank charged him when they granted him the loan. |

Diiet: you can get the details in one of the articles in yesterday's premium times newpaper. You can also search it online. I already did. That's why I wanted you to enlighten all of us. May be you are privy to certain information that is not available to the general public. Moreover, can you equally enlighten me how GTB went ahead to grant loan to innoson to the tune of 1.3 Billion, without running a background check of all the papers presented? If it smells like fish, then it's a fish. Gtb should calm down and wait for the verdict from supreme court. |

Episteme2: Your own thinking self has left me wondering too. Why must he be arrested in that manner as you said? The case is also in Supreme Court and he has won GTB on two consecutive occasions at the high and the appeal court. And you're here thinking rubbish. Since when has it become efcc's role to wade in a matter like that especially when it's in court and make Gestapo arrest. Who issued the arrest warrant in the first place? Bunch of hypocrites. So pathetic. You dey mind them. They all think we are foolss |

Diiet: one thing verry clear is that innoson has shown himself in a verry bad light, and other banks would be afraid of granting him credit facilities. This saga will end up having negative impact on his business. Because he said no to GTB trying to rip him off of 599 million according to the banks own auditors |
