The soil is probably too muddy and slippery for the men to push the vehicle out. The tow truck is the option, but will be damn expensive for him.

Oblongata:
He firstly needs to get the load off that vehicle...

Then he should get like 10 abled men to help push out of the mud. He should be willing to pay them handsomely. Or he could get a tow truck!

You have just summarised my feelings. It's all just avoidable!
The government must bear all the burial costs and compensate all the families of the deceased.
The responsibility of protection of life and property rest on the shoulders of those in authority. And they have failed in this regard.
How long will it take to fix all the roads in this country?
You have billions going into private ventures on a daily basis, while the masses are left to their fate.
All these must end!

HardBishop:
we blacks don't value human life.. I swear. what's the role of the FRSC? WHy can't they check the truck carrying the container? why why why?
what's the duty of the fed govt and state govt......
can't they revitalize the roads or repair the crack damages? are we BLACK CURSED? this is total mess.... even lack of maintenance culture.
if found wanting punish the truck driver but no keep collecting bribes. black man black disease

Leave dem, na point and kill dem dey inside. They bend down and select all the time. Everytime their hands will point at INEC and the Judiciary to kill.
To them, the judiciary should rule or judge on Public Opinion before we know justice is served. Imagine!
Always, they will say 'in your heart of hearts, you know he won.' Is it by heart of hearts INEC or the judiciary work? Or by wishful thinking?

We have seen the likes of Bello before, but where are they now, they have been made to kiss the dust.
What will Bello/APC be rewarded for in Kogi? Maladministration, intimidation and violent tendencies?
In the governor's own senatorial district Natasha Akpoti floored him. We all saw the confusion on his face when the ruling was first made by the tribunal in her favour.
Today, Natasha is a senator of the federal republic. Tomorrow, Ododo will be a student of one of the correctional centres.
Recall when some things in Benue during the last elections attempted to cause violence and snatch ballot boxes olin Gboko and were shot dead my military forces, the story immediately spread round the state on social media. And that was the end of violence! The elections went on smoothly afterwards.
Kogi will not be different. The new IG and Military commanders will not be found wanting.
Peace to Kogi and Kogilites!

LivingSage:
Ododo will likely win because of Yahaya Bello power of incumbency.

Yahaya Bello is a tough man, he would use everything

You're right. It's always their way to blame INEC. After deriding INEC the writer added, 'May the best man win.' Confusion! How do you expect INEC that you claim is a rigging organisation put the best man forward?

Omenlon:
why always blaming INEC? Is it INEC that is snatching the ballot boxes or carrying guns to perpetuate electoral violence? Why can't will just blame our brothers and their sponsores the politicians. INEC staff are human beings who deserve to leave. Will you stand seeing a gun wagging man approaching you to snatch the ballot boxes?

Ambition and desperation are two different things. He screamed emilokan and he got it. The man who didn't scream emilokan but thought emilokan and wouldn't let go when it is obvious emilokan wasn't for him is the desperate one here.

And that's what we are talking about!

Cantonese:

And the man who shouted emilokan and said that it was his “life time ambition”, starting with the senate in 1992, should be called what? Or you do not understand what it means by “life time ambition”? Who can ever be more desperate than a man who begged to be VP in 2007 and 2015, after serving as a governor between 1999 and 2007?
Politics / Re: Atiku’s Desperation For Presidency By Adamu Mohammed by EagleSquare1(m): 6:26am On Oct 11, 2023
On what basis do you call the write-up trash?

Who says Atiku cannot 'drag' Tinubu, his political opponent, to the dust? But in the process he found himself in the mud with the CSU depositions, yet he keeps rolling in the mud crying foul screaming and desperate for more attention or what?

That's the essence of the write-up!

festacman:
I am not a fan of Atiku Abubakar but this write-up is a mere trash.

Come on, from time immemorial, politicians and businesspeople have exploited the mistakes, shortcomings, weaknesses, scandals of their opponents or competitors to their advantage. And there are many instances of election losers turning winners overnight in Nigeria because of problems with qualifications, tax returns, age falsification, etc of their opponents. Atiku didn't commit any sacrilege by dragging President Tinubu naked in the market place. He was just trying to play the game the way it has been played from the beginning of time. The fact is that if Tinubu was in Atiku's shoes, he would have done the same or even worse.

By the way, I feel that Tinubu anticipated something like this and worked ahead to surround himself with political heavyweights with heavy hefty wallets and extensive influence.

The lack of support from the PDP governors, PDP NASS members and other prominent members of the party has actually painted Atiku's legal battle as PERSONAL rather than PARTISAN. I am not sure if this aloofness is handiwork of Tinubu or it is just that these PDP heavyweights also have skeletons like Tinubu and therefore considered Atiku's actions as going too far for a mere local political contestation. Whatever it is, Atiku is fast looking like an orphan and may in fact run to Dubai on a long exile when Tinubu exercises his executive power in retaliation.

From all indications, only a miraculously favourable Supreme Court ruling will save him.
