It is very simple to guestimate which faith dominates in the entire country using the 8 geopol zones. Cleary the most populous zone is NW which is over 90% muslim. The second most populous zone is SW which is 60 muslim 40 xtian. The 3rd most populous zone is NE which is 80% muslim . The 4th most populous zone is NC which is 65% muslim 35% xtian. The 5th zone is SE which is 95% xtian. The least populous zone is SS which is 97% xtian. Intuit and arrive at the right conclusion. QED

Our fathers & grandfathers all their lives grew up believing that Arewa was their one and only identity and Hausa fulanis are their closest, infact they were one with Hausa fulanis.

In the televisions they watched, in the radios they listened to, on the papers they read, in the schools they attended, this was what they were taught, told and indoctrinated all their lives.

In such a case, it is very very difficult and almost impossible for them to make a U-turn, to think of leaving that identity for something else.

And to worsen matters, the late Sardauna worked effortlessly towards Arewa unity. He actually tried if I am to be honest.
The Sardauna did not openly discriminate against northern Christians or minorities. If the Sardauna was giving 120 scholarships then, 20 will go to Benue-Plateau area, 20 to Gongola area, 20 to Borno area, 20 to Kogi-Kwara area, 20 to Bauchi area and 20 to Hausa land proper.
Minorities somehow even benefited more and were more influential than Hausa fulanis under the Sardauna.

And so for this reason, many of our elders are products of Sardauna's legacy. Till date, they still feel that they owe him an allegiance.

Yes my brother, so so many evil plans and arrangements were done to empower muslims over christians in not just Kaduna state but the entire region and country.

In my state Plateau for instance, Wase LGA (which has a large population of fulanis) was given a Federal constituency of it's own, while 2 and 3 LGAs were merged as 1 constituency in other parts of Plateau state.

My LGA of origin (Mangu) has by far the highest population of indigenes in Plateau state, yet we had to be merged with another LGA as one constituency, while Wase LGA which is not even up to half the population of my LGA is a constituency of it's own, just because they want a fulani man to have a permanent seat among the 8 federal representatives of my state.

This was a similar game they played in Kaduna state.

I wonder how our people were blind to these things for ages! Well we thank God for the internet that has helped us to expose all these lies and for us to know where we stand.

If they could do that in plateau and Kaduna, imagine what has happened to the majority south over the past years.

It is enough to beg to differ with and criticize constructively his leadership style plus policies. Using constitutional and moral means to show displeasure are in order. Look emotional intelligence's way.

Disturbingly, some people even wish Buhari death, hoping news of his demise filters in soonest. If that's not a representation of the Scriptures' observation that "The heart of man is desperately wicked," then it must be of something worse. If you fall in this category, kindly stop now! Ikwerre ethnic propaganda, like all historical accounts of betrayal and sabotage show that Ikwerre woke up after the war to change their ethnicity to Bini, as a way to regain lands previously sold to Igbos in PH, steal Igbo properties as abandoned property, and look good in the eyes of Igbo oppressors.

That's ok, that's self preservation, but how long will psuedo educated Elechis, and Orijis if this World advance untenable theory to justify their sabotage of Igbos during and after the war?

Just like Ikwerre people have a need for self determination, Igbos too have a need to focus on those who are Igbos, want to be Igbos, and proud to be Igbo! That's why Igbo b'Igbo is what matters.

When things change again, and Ikwerre people produce yet another theory of their ethnicity, Igbos who are Igbos will still be watching them.

This is not true at all. Prior to the war, most people were indifferent about the "Igbo" tag. It was primarily only literature writers, linguists, academics and the devout Christians who were mostly involved with using the term to within their circles. The war drew a concrete line in the sand and forced people to choose sides. We are living that consequence right now. You are either one side or the other. That is what happened. There's no such thing as "deniers" when it comes to this.

There's nothing like "indifferent " to the question of being Igbo or not. Before the war:
Ogoni people identified themselves as Ogoni, though they spoke Igbo.
Ijaw people, the same.
Efik people the same.

Ikwerre people who still have relatives in many Igbo towns, identified as Igbos before the war, simply began to deny, equivocate, and then purposefully began to confuse their younger ones about their origin, because Igbos lost the war, and the benefits of identifying as non Igbo suddenly outweighed the reverse. Even Ijaw people know that Ikwerres are simply playing a game.

Igbo b'Igbo is really what matters, not the maddening unreliable crowd out there.

Such people are real Igbos and are more important and useful for achieving Igbo agenda than an Ijaw man in Opobo /Bonny who speaks Igbo as first language, or a Bini man in a Rumu Ikwerre village, who speak a corrupted version of Igbo language as first language, don't you think so? Your exam with Ebonyi people is wrong, because they speak a variation or a dialect of Igbo. You can not honestly say that they don't speak Igbo.

Unlike Ikwerre man whose father, grandfather, and great grandfather spoke Igbo, other ethnic minorities in the former eastern Nigeria might have spoken Igbo as a condition of their citizenship of belonging to the region, the same way many minorities of the north spoke Hausa.

However, they always have a mother tongue spoken by their grandparents before the creation of the region's.

So, when revisionists weave the baseless argument that language is not a major defining qualification for a tribe, educated people know better.

Ikwerre man whose forebears spoke Igbo can't compare his lineage with say an Ijaw or Efik man whose parents spoke Igbo as a member of eastern Nigeria.
