Problem with Nigerian investtors.

Unlike our foreign counterparts who invest in businesses, and give 5 to even 10 years of ups and down growth life to business, Nigerian investors will want to invest and start earning profit now, now, now.

No time allowed for business stability, no investment on promotion that will amount to loss for investors, to create awareness of business, for the first few years of business, they just want the business to start coughing money for them as soon as their money is injected.

These people sometimes make me wander if they even understand how business works.

The worst part is, they want to relegate your business idea and efforts to 10% or even less because they brought in say 100m or thereabout.

They forget that their money is equally as useless without your idea as your idea is useless without money.

Anyway, let me stop here for now.

I am NOT against seeking investors for your business, but I will always encourage you to start your business first and thrive as much as you can, then when you meet investors, you sell your shares to them.

You can even sell just 5% of your company share to them for the same 100million naira they want to sideline your ideas and effort to 10% with.

You will believe with me that when a less confident person is saying the truth, or talking about matters that can change your life or save a nation, he or she will never be believed.

But when a very confident person is even lying, people will buy easily whatever he is selling.

There is another thing I observed with confidence. Especially with ladies.

While every other student carried laptop bags on their back full of books, Scario was always always carrying a bag full of money.

While we queue for transactions in the bank, this guy will come into the bank at any hour, walk straight to the bank manager's desk and drop his bag full of cash for transactions.

And to pepper us more, the bank always offered him malt and chicken. At a time, I thought this G is a share holder in access bank. Thunder go fire poverty!

Although we were in the same drama group, called federation theater, I always admired this guy from far. Never got so close, because I don't want anybody thinking I am hanging around him because of his money.

Unknown to me, this guy was admiring me too.

This life no balance o.

There is always something you have, that the next person wanted. Someone told me one day how Scario speaks highly of me. And I thought it was because I always carry myself high.

One day, in the night class, I saw this babe with large backside and good height. She also had a dark complexion, a pointed nose and a long beautiful hair she was really pretty in the all sense of it. Then 2go was the altimate but I hated it because so many children were there.

Facebook was still new, and those who had a facebook account felt they were better.

Babe was chatting away on facebook.

Before I knew what was happening, I was all over the babe, distracting her from facebook ghost friends and attracting her to this real me.

She was already laughing, and before she realised it, she has hit my chest. And I was dragging to hit her back exactly where she hit me. But because she knew where I was going to touch, she was shrugging and I was persisting... playfully and consistently, I was already handling her breast.

It all happened in less than 20 minutes of seeing her for the first time. I never even asked her name and she never knew mine then.

But come to think of it. Many guys today are gay because they could not air their view to the ladies they admire.

I met a lot of people like him when I graduated and left school. This people can only play oloshos because they lack the balls to get a real girlfriend.

Back when I ran a shoe making factory in Kaduna, in 2017. I met Uche, not the one from bolt shah, although both of them have many things in common; like been clingy with money.

Uche has been in the shoe making industry since 1999 according to him. And his craftsmanship proved it. He offered to work with me and I accepted.

But there was something particular about this guy I tried in vain to correct. He was always letting hunger decide his sale. And I guess that was why he remained as poor even after spending many years in the industry. This guy will make a very beautiful shoe, and sell it with very little profit, just to eat or drink liquor. Then start afresh to look for money to make another one. People were just using him to enrich their selves and this was painful to watch.

I stopped him from working with me when I could not bear the sight of watching this guy hold himself down.

I thought Uche was the only one in this mess until I tried venturing into the eHailing business.

I saw that most of the drivers are more gullible than Uche and so, there lies their problem...

most drivers agree that 100naira per km is ideal for this hustle, and that it is their biggest grievance with bolt, yet when you total a 6km trip to 600 or 500 naira thinking that drivers should at least not take less here, where they really have the power, e go just shock you.

I just want to use this thread to tell upcoming pilots, riders and car owners what is really happening in this eHailing business such as Uber and Bolt...
