9Pluto: This is another beautiful piece of history. So in 1905 Opobo was Igbo In 1925 Opobo was also confirmed igbo by a newspaper publication Yet, in 2022 while Opobo still speak igbo till date and continue practice a largely igbo culture, Bayelsa boys are claiming relationship today.
I think Egwanga there refers to Igwuocha, the former name for the current Portharcourt. Egwanga is Ikot Abasi not Port Harcourt. |

OfoIgbo: Odikwa egwu.
So the Alagoa-forged Amandiokari should now be used to replace records written down by multiple European neutral observers, who got their information from Bonny elders of the 17 and 1800s.
Ask Alagoa to refer us to any records by even one single neutral European observer/historian of the 1700 or 1800s who ever mentioned that Ndoki people were Ijaws, or that Amandokiari was the full name of the Ndokis, and you will meet a resounding silence. Asking Ijos to provide you facts besides the Alagoa forged history is like asking a monkey to stop his hunger for Banana . E be like say you want kill the only strenght of our creek brothers. |

SaintBishop: And Okrika is still an ijaw subgroup in Wikipedia till now. With the way that Eastlink, SlayerForever's and all these Igbo people were chest beating, you will think they will have taken this their chest beating and put it where their mouth is and change Okrika people from an ijaw Subgroup to an Igbo own on Wikipedia. It seems like these Igbos are just empty barrel after all. Apostle of truth is back. We don miss you small . Please kindly check for the screenshots I posted during your self-imposed run from the thread. The Okrika groups will need them just like the ones you’ve been compiling. Well, for Wikipedia edits, we are not Ijos whose occupation is chiefly history distortion. I suppose you guys sleep on Wikipedia like militants guiding pipelines. So I’m not surprised that you mentioned Wikipedia as that your only strength when it comes to facts. |

Alabo7978: lol this my man. I knew you were shocked when I was TEACHING YOU YOUR OWN LANGUAGE you were trying to bend to suit your narration. I like how you avoided it to begin showing me writings based on the FIRST EXPEDITION ALL-OVER AGAIN!!! seems we are just going in circles and I'm not ready for that kpa-kpa'ngolo with you, nevertheless I will clear you one more last time about the expeditions. do well to research. Lol , I’ll give it to you. You try small for Igbo. But note, Opu can also sound Okpu but with same meaning. It's similar to Ibo and Igbo. While Ibo was the pronunciation in the past, Igbo becomes the norm due to Igbo Izugbe script. Opu and Okpu takes same shape. But while Okpu is used mainly in the South-East, Opu is used more by those of us in Rivers state. Hope you grab now. |

Alabo7978: you no fit decieve me brother man. puta- come out okpu- crown or cap oputa'ibeya not opu ta Ibe ye
a person who comes out to help his mate in Igbo is _onye'n'aputa nzoputa ibeya or onye'nyem'aka not that nonesense you're trying to conjure up there to suit your narrative.
okpu-agu leopard cap not opu.
the community crown is greater than wealth is okpu obodo ka'uba but If you want to use ama(which is borrowed from ijaws) it is okpu'ama ka'uba not that manipulation with alphabet you did there. like I said, I'm dissapointed in you again. trying to pass cap as opu instead of okpu. to come out is spelt o'puta.
you know the truth but still trying to bend it to suit your lies like your fellow brothers did on Nebuchadnezzar calling him neburu'cham'bu'eze. CREATIVE LIARS! unu di'njo kai Lol, I suppose you are still rambling despite the Igbo language tutoring. Now look below to see how Oru, Brass, Engenni etc are different from Ijos.

EastisBae: The problem with you is that you will write an epistle that is neither here nor there. When you throw everything into the mix, you muddle up everywhere without passing any message accross.
However, from the few I can glean, you mentioned ekpe masquerade as played in Kalabari, and asked whether Kalabari is now owned by Akwa Ibom people. By asking that question, it shows you don't even know the history of Kalabari. Those areas used to be Ibibiod lands before you guys displaced them and took over and that's why some of their culture survived! It's the same landgrabbing attempts you're now making but unfortunately, you won't succeed this time around.
The Opobos that live in Aba mostly claim to be Igbos and they speak the language just like every other Igbo!
I have shown you articles stating unambiguously that Opobo was uninhabited when Jaja established his kingdom there yet you keep regurtitating myths and legends.
Ama means a habitat or compound in Igbo. That is why you hear villages like Ama-Ka-Ohia which translates to a compound/habitat is greater or more important than bush/jungle.
Okolo is a variety of bird called Curlew in English while the generic name for all birds is nnunu in Igbo! Okolo-ama therefore means Curlew habitat!
Whatever name or alias Jaja took doesn't mean anything, it was his choice and if otherwise, when he founded Opobo, he was already the most powerful and richest ruler in the Niger Delta and would have changed the name back!
Stop clutching at straws please!! Well written |

Alabo7978: you talk about scholarly inclined and you still revel in the first expedition reports? when you were writing your project, were you refrensing 1950's report?? John Clarke and Merrick whom were missionaries discovered the Oru DIALECTs and saw it to have affinity with that of new calabar, brass, ibani, okrika etc. smith and baikie too began to later figure out the affinity. Sigismund Koelle on his book Polyglotta Africana' also took note of it, and by 1880s the Oru(ijoid) Languages were grouped. later on, linguist such as Gerrit Dimmendaal, Kay Williamson, Roger Blench, Paul hair in the 1900s already grouped the Oru Languages yet you clowns keep jerking on the old expedition.
and did I hear you say opu means big in igbo and not relating to ijoid Languages? opu means big..there are names like Opubo, opu-alaikio opubigamabiri, opu-wari, opu-alabo, opu-kalango, opuamakuba(the first priest of Bonny) and so many other opu's
big in Igbo are odi'ukwu or vuri'ivu or nherin'nne or nnukwu but you say in your language oputabiye is someone with a big heart, LMAO. una dey try for lies o, even the devil is shocked! someone with a big heart isn't it nnukwu-obi (nnukwu-big obi-heart) or obi-di'ukwu. and you know say I Sabi Igbo you get mind dey lie for me. brother man I am highly dissapointed in you. Lol, Oru languages. You mean the Oru that is older than Ijo and closer to Igbo or another Oru. I suppose you think say na laymen dey here. So where are your references? Alagoa Second, a person who don't understand Asusu Igbo cannot tell what he doesn't know. But I’ll teach you for free. In Udaume Igbo, they are some words with same written form but with different pronunciation and meanings. For Example: Akwa means Akwa — Egg Akwa — Tears Akwa — Cloth Opu Means Opu - To come out Opu — Crown or cap Opu ta Ibe ye A person who comes out to helps his mates Opu ta Ibe ya na nsogbu A person who comes out to help his mates from problem. So literally a person with a big heart. Opu agu Leopards Cap Opuamakuba Opu Ama K’uba— The community crown is greater than wealth. |

Alabo7978: what elders? didn't you see he was referring to okrika? so you now want to say okrika people came from Afam ndoki? forgetting ndoki is ijaw (aminadokiari) there is also OKOLOMA there, and to show igbos doesn't own that area, it belonged to the Bonny people. if you doubt, go there and ask the people staying there. when portharcourt became crowded, people began to move into oyigbo, Afam, okoloma, kom-kom.
guess who sold land to them?? just guess?
the fubara family relations, and they still own that area for bonny, and I know alot of them because I interact with them in the real ibani/Kalabari DIALECT! If it’s not cock and bull tales, it's a Wikipedia link quoting Alagoa. What else are you Ijos from Bayelsa and Delta bringing to the discuss that we haven't heard before? We’ve not even posted other documents and you are simply shedding tears. What will you do if more roll in here? I suppose you might hide your monikers just as my friend Bishopmagic the apostle of truth. Where is Bishop sef when you need him? I expected his screenshots to be shared to Okrika groups as he promised but can't find him. Can you call his attention here? As a matter of fact, evidence of tribal origins of all communities in the Niger-Delta was clearly documented before independence. If you lots are scholarly inclined, you could easily get these materials online and learn instead of coming here to expose your shortcomings. What facts do Ijos have on ground that proves Ijo origin, heritage and claims to Okrika, and Kalabari? Bonny and Opobo looks like a beatdown already due to the unwavering Igbo presence till date despite the Ijo onslaught and shenanigans over time. Even the name you used to defend your false claims on Okrika is obviously Igbo. Okrika is noted to have 3 groups, Igbo the foundation, Ijo the 2nd migratory party and Ibibiod’s from Obulom. Ndigbo recognizes this fact same as the Ibibio’s, except the perennial Ijo militant and landgrabbers known to alter people's history. Even that name the other dude mentioned Opu Okubeye does it sound Ijo to you? Names like Opu Okubeye, Opu Ogalaya, and Opu Ibeye are too Igbotic to deny with roots only found in Igbo. When Bonny history talked about Ukwu the ancestor of the Brown house of Finima coming from Okrika, many of you lots might get confused? But those who study history will not as Okrika clearly has a strong Igbo foundation. 1. Oputaibeye and Opu Ogalanya for instance, is clearly Igbo and surname to folks in Igboland mostly from Rivers, Imo and Abia till this day. For instance in my village, Oputaibeye means a person with big heart amongst his mates. Look at the root of the name to understand, Opu ta ibe ye. Opu also mean a Crown on ones head or special Chieftaincy cap if you look at another ‘Uda ume’ or pronunciation in Igbo. The truth is that, had Ijos been contented with their kinsmen in the swamps of Delta and Kololuma-Opokuma areas of Bayelsa and write the true history of these folks using valuable sources, do you think Igbos will blink an eye? Who are those you share same language with? You know these folks? Had Ogoni with Saro Wiwa not separated themselves from the Ijo ethnic agenda, Ogoni would have been singing Ijo today just like others after the civil war. The neutral historians were not daft when they listed tribes like Oru, Ijo, Brass, Ogbia, New Calabar, Ibani, Okrika, Andoni etc as distinct ethnic groups domiciled in the lower Niger? But when you use genocide as played out by Isaac Boro in Bonny, Kalabari, Okrika, Abua, Degema, Nembe, Ogbia, and Opobo etc to impose a forceful Ijo heritage, and also use your political henchmen in old Rivers to impose a fake Ijo ethnic groupings and use your fraudulent historians to forge a fake Ijo history, then you get the result as seen here and in future relations with your neighbours as happening in Warri, Gelegele, Bonny, Port-Harcourt, Yenagoa, Obolo and other areas of the Niger-Delta. Posterity never forgives such historical genocide and karma had its way of paying back. |

Alabo7978: they will never concour.
everyone knows at the time Igbo people were the most demanded people because of their farming expertise hence they were good commodity for slavery. even the okrikans have some waves of migration from Nembe and Bonny and the central delta area.
Igbo people with their grabbing attitude are busy bringing unwanted hatred on themselves. They do not want to live with their neighbors in peace. they condemn the Fulani people for having expansionists mentality but they are the same with the people they condemn and that is why karma is dealing with them in Enugu and ebonyi area where herdsmen are entering and lodging in their forests and destroying their crops.
well all their lies will end in Nairaland, they can not dare enter the creek or delta to come and misbehave like this. they are cowards and will hide behind a faceless forum to bring more hatred on themselves and when they begin to suffer for it, they cry injustice when they themselves brought the weight on themselves.
I have learnt so many lessons on this nairaland about Igbo people. give them an inch and they will want to claim the entire square kilometers.

Tambaringabas: First, its very myiopic to compare the contributions made by regions to the APC because other regions certainly made more contributions than others and if politics is about patronage and payback, those regions deserve presidency before se.
Obj became president when other regions voted for him.
What region in today's Nigeria will give the Igbo's that privilege?
You created enemies for yourself by your acts, the least you can do is show remorse, submit and build alliance, not threats and blackmails.
If the APC gives its ticket to an Igbo, other regions who carried APC through these 8years will retaliate, most will even vote for whoever the opposition party brings just spite the people in APC and the Igbo's.
The Igbo people dug on themselves a hole.
Igbo candidacy in the APC is a tall order. Stylishly shifting the goal post. Now Obasanjo became President not because other regions loved the SW or the person Obj. Far from it. The stakeholders of Nigeria simply made it easy for the Yoruba’s with the both major parties fielding two south westerners. What would a man just released from prison offer than other strong candidates at that time. None if you ask me. Had an Hausa/Fulani or an Igbo flown the Presidential tickets of the PDP or ANPP I bet you, the votes would surely swing. And many of you would still be singing “On June 12 we stand” till eternity. Obasanjo was simply seen as a lesser evil by the north and other sections of Nigeria. Fetch two Igbo candidates in the two major parties and you’ll get same result as 1999. |
