Lol.. dogs can be funny when it comes to dominance

Reminds of the time i got a cauc....

I had a 1.5 year old male lhasa prior.... the lhasa was always trying to claim alpha as per first dog in the house...., terrorising the cauc, always taking his meat and food....

Despite being bigger than the lhasa after 8 months ..the cauc will just be gentle when ever the lhasa bites him...like he recognizes him as the alpha or something.... and also becos the biting does no damage since the cauc's fur is super thic...

.a year plus down the line..... .the cauc just change am for the lhasa one day..... i was playing throw and retrieve with them....a fight just broke out... the cauc nearly crushed the skull of the lhasa if not that i was there....as in his entire mouth covered the head of the lhasa

....that was how the cauc took the alpha position...they never ate together for a long time till i lost the lhasa...

Nice job man.. I had to go back to the beginning of this thread to look at puppy pictures of your dog.. firstly the coat transformation is out of this world... Secondly she looks well taken care of.. happy 10 month to her ❤️❤️

It's been long coming folks! I've not been keeping you guys updated here, make una no vex abeg. Ma mama and I been dey drag Arya the way divorced couple drag custody of their children after divorce..lol.
This is Arya's 10th month! My girl has really grown. Adulthood is gradually setting in. When I mean "Adulthood" I meant that in all ramifications. Arya now eats everything that sometimes I mistake her for a human being...haha! And she's beginning to let go of the puppy-like attitudes and becoming a little more mature (but she's damn too playful still). I can imagine when she gets to the 18th month, she fit just turn "independent lady" o.. Lol

Recall where I mentioned that sometimes I mistake her for a human being, well I wasn't just referring to the food aspect alone tho... Even from the way she behaves. It's almost like she understands everything more now; - signs, gestures, mood, words even before I utter them. You can imagine what will prompt an African mother to begin to drag dog with you na..Lol!
I recall when Arya was still very much a young puppy, it was kinda stressful trying to curtail her sometimes. But now she just makes everything a little easier. We're not there just yet anyway, but with the way she behaves now makes me often wonder what she'd be like when she's old enough.

Did I mention that one of her best foods now is sweet potatoes cooked in chicken broth? Na mama formulate that pattern give her oh...(African mothers ehn.. Amazing!) I only bought potatoes and chicken .
Eggs still remains her very best sha. Like..she finishes eggs even before you blink finish sef.
However one confusing thing about Arya is her friendliness. You can't predict when she's harmlessly friendly and when she's not. She fit go bite person when you think she'd be just friendly o.. That kind thing na.. Aah!
In all, she has grown into a jolly dog, or should I say "human"... If I may

Am sorry for not updating the diary but... The sad news is Tokyo has died, how it happened was shocking cus we gave it all the necessary injection, she died the next day after the vet visit, and the funny thing is that she wasn't sick or showing signs of parvo or any illness, just the vet visted her, gave her the vaccine and that all

Omoo this dog almost gave me hypertension today, cus at around 12..1"o" clock in the afternoon, we were looking for tokyo (formally known as Rio), we searched and searched, we couldn't find her, so I decided to check the little garden around the house, that were I found her , I shouted Tokyo!! thinking she has died , until I touched her, and she woke up as if nothing happened, my guess was that she fell asleep there, even animals love the fresh air and green grass too, then I picked u my phone took some pics of her and let her be......

He eats whatever I eat with some occasionally optimax can. I used to feed him Royal Canin (the 4KG to be precise) dry food but the price just keeps getting higher and higher so I switched to homemade meals

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't updated this thread for some time now, man has been really busy. Zeus is currently 7 and half months now but as you can see in the pictures below, he is not the tallest or biggest 7 months old German Shepherd out there but, I don't really care anymore, I just want him to be healthy and be a great dog. He now understand that this life is not always about play and has completely shifted to protection work and I really love that about him

Dogs are very intelligent.. they can feel it Wen u have dat soft spot for them.. I repeat again.. it's cool to show your dog love,care and affection.. but trust me u have to ignore her cry so she learns to be on her own

Well I allow her inside the house in the day, but at night I gonna put it in it's cage, besides we just had her yesterday.

My questions are... During the day .. do u keep your pup inside wit a lot of fam members around ur pup ? I'll suggest u leave ur pup indoors till she's 12 weeks.. on a good Saturday when u re home@12 weeks.. introduce her to her cage early in the morning.. ignore all her cries all tru.. wit time she wuld be quiet .. I repeat.. let no one attend to her cry out of pity.. dats how I won that battle.. all the best man

Good morning people, rio has been driving me crazy all through, especially at night, gawwwd my ears, I couldn't even sleep at all in the night, so much high pitched crying up and down, I go out to check on the dog at night, it will immediately shut up, but once you leave, the music start.
Then I took it into the house, and it still kept on crying, not knowing what to do, I thought to my self.." maybe she is hungry" then I gave her indomine mixed with evap milk to eat, and she just turned it to boby cream, all her fur was filled with milk all-over, from head to paw, still the crying continued, then I told myself... " Woo I can't kill my self jara" then I took it back into her own house, viper on the other was just looking at me... And am very sure in her(viper) mind she was saying...." U neva see anything yet, this puppy will drive u crazy" as if viper was enjoying the cry of the puppy.... ... Then this morning another set of wahala started, my neighbors came knocking on my gate with a bottle of anointing oil, saying they were hearing
"baby cryings" inside my house all through the night, I was shocked , the whole stuff was very funny, but had to hide my laughter, I told dem it was the puppy I bought yesterday that is making that noise �, after a long talk with dem, dey were finally convinced and left me to be.

Good Afternoon people, am about to buy a German Shepherd pup today from a breeder,
And he told me the price was 50k, which came as a shock to me, cus I often hear the prices of such big breeds cost as high as 150 k per pup, and it immediately came to me that "maybe it is a cross breed" or a "fake" german shepherd, I can't tell for sure, and for the matting pics, he couldn't provide it cus if he had it, it would have done a lot of convincing, now am confused weather to buy the pup or to leave it, cus I don't to buy a German Shepherd and it ends up being a "Nigerian" shepard, I don't really care weather it's a black and tan GSD, or a fawn GSD, or even a stable GSD, as long as it's a pure breed GSD, I don't want to buy something and later it will turn out to be a GSDx rott or something, down below is the pup pic. All opinion are allowed

Armitraz is a chemical used for livestocks.. it's added to water to bath infected animals.. it also works for ticks, fleas as well

It is clear now. I used chloramphenicol eyedrop and Amosil.

Looks like cherry eyes .. my previous gsd had it.. and it never got better .. it was dere frm like 4 months till he died at 2yrs+.. get a good vet to check it out.. I tried several eye drops none worked..

My puppy has a reddish swelling at the left eye. The vet says she might need surgery or an expensive treatment that may cost up to 40k. Please zoom the photo and see the swelling. Those into dogs, what do you think?

mango worms.. it's caused by flies I guess... try and bath ur dog wit armitraz and always ensure ur dog doesn't sleep on wet floor

I have been having issues with worms on the body of my puppy. The veterinarian removed worms when it was 5 months old and since then I remove them myself.

What can I do to stop the worms?

Ok Guys! Took Tessy to the VET yesterday! She got de wormed and had some anti biotics and multivitamins. Taking her for vacination by weekend. So far, she's getting on well and wuite playful. I mixed her noodles with JOJO coupled with Fish feeds. She doesnt eat much at a time! However, will keep trying new foods till she finally settles for one. Got her a ball she's been playing with all day!!

Nice pup.. pls ensure she's properly vaccinated & dewormed as at Wen due.. Make sure u socialize her at this stage.. And be prepared to start changing all ur slippers in the house

Thank you guys for your inputs yesterday!! Today! My family welcomed TESSIE Into her new home!! Shes 5 weeks old! And one Heck of an Active Pup!! She hates staying indoor alone. And loves grabbing toys with her Teeth. Just less than 20 minutes, she's now very familiar with her knew Name.

I just made mixed noodles and egg for her. I noticed she picked out the boiled eggs and eat very little of the noodles. I don't know if she's a slow eater or doesnt like noodles. Will try out boild rice and fish later in the evening! Will keep you guys posted on the development. So in due time, will find out if she's Ekuke or half Sheperd! LOL!! but the energy in this dog is amazing!! My 5 year and 3 year old kids cannot stay alone with the pup. And this are kids that plays with other dogs in my vicinity oo!! Bigger dogs for that matter. But they cannot even touch a pup of just 5 weeks. However, i know with time, they will get used to it. I don bringam home be say i don bring am!!
