axeman85: @poster
it amazes when i see this topic that was just 13 or so now gont to 20. its very obvious you have never left the shores of nigeria or you are on of those guys the father treated your mother same way you would treat your woman. most men on here i believe are matured and educated men and also reasonable men. Do not quote the bible to hide or backup your ignorance, because based on your arguments right from page one just shows that they are some guys out there who needs to be more enlightened. washing plates for your woman or mopping the floor doesnt reduce your male ego in the house rather it makes your wife respect you more. i believe we nigerians are more concerned about what the next man thinks thats why we tend to misbehave alot. thats why you see men beating their wives and also women beating and abusing their husbands. there is no biggie in washing plates after all you are assisting your woman and its not like she is ordering you or commanding you. she is asking for your help. Personally when i wake up and i go to the kitchen and i see left over plates from night before, i take it upon myself to wash it, tidy up the kitchen and do a few chores in the house that i can do. because i see the it as my Home and if i was cleaning my dishes before i got married, what stops me from doing it after. Couldnt have said it better. |

IbrahimB: Nothing wrong to do either the washing-up or the cooking as the situation permits. Not a big deal for me.
I fancy a marriage where the two parties help each other. It could be romantic really when the husband is washing the dishes and the wife doing the cooking in the kitchen at the same time.
Rather than the husband fiddling with the remote control in the sitting room while the wife is battling with both chores. Sounds Un-african eh?
However I will understand with the poster, if the woman stood over him with hands akimbo and directs him to do the dishes. That will be a problem.
---- Marriages start developing problems when one party feels cheated and unappreciated. God bless you |

TheSeeker: If you can take off your woman's undies, lick her pusssy, what's wrong with washing her undies? Point one.
If you eat from the same plate she washes, eat the same food she serves with them and drink from the same cup she washes, matter of fact, use the cutleries, what's wrong with you washing them just for fun? Point two.
There are lots of ways to gain respect in your relationship and declining to do certain things doesn't make you vulnerably stupid. I understand why some guys might feel restrained from doing these things: because most times, men who do this back in Nigeria are called names, fools, stupid and weak - but that's long gone with the wind now.
The way you present your woman, the way you treat her, the way you make her feel all the time, dictates how she sees you and respects you. If you don't act right, she won't bother rather, she might just elope with a new man that treats her good or makes her see every reason not to be with you.
Washing dishes or undies for your woman doesn't make you lose your respect, it only shows a lot of other things about you which includes: caring, carefree, free, kind, helpful and a lot more - it doesn't - in my opinion - by any means make you stupid. In a relationship, there are lots of stupid things we do that makes the respect and regard in our relationship burn out fast, and doing chores isn't exactly one of them.
If you ask me, yes, I will wash dishes for my wife. . . . and if I have to wash her undies, yes, I will. . . but when she crosses my path, believe me, she'll have the most stubborn man in the world to deal with. I am beginning to like you boy |

TheSeeker: Women have been known a lot of times to have high tendencies of jealousy, superiority and competitive complexes. It can be really hard to fathom why some women do this but it's like almost saying she can treat what you have better and the thought that she thinks she's better to deserve, and eventually, have that kind of man than yourself.
It can be tricky the way it's all worked out, but the fact still remains they don't think about the consequences most of the time. Like for example, with the premonition that she can treat him better, she's less likely to think he's going to leave her and neither can another woman take him from her - most of the time, she thinks she can always figure out when someone's playing a dumb game on her man (that she snatched from someone else).
In reality, the truth is some men don't deserve some women and vice versa, however, there should be respect for the other partner regardless. He just gave you your answer platinumnk |
