micronut:
You see why i asked those questions the other time?? rather than tell me to keep following the story.. You carefully took your time to tongue-lash me for nothing.

I Knew why i asked "What was the role of the fellowships then". Those arms, have helped thousands of students while i was way back in school. I knew of two friends that slept in the mission/fellowship house throughout a year. (Cos i use to go for an all-nighter reading in those fellowship).

Like someone said, thank God you traced your path to God which has allowed you to conquer and excel against all odds.

Am happy for your life and wish you the best! I hope you have learnt to be helping others too.

And for the serious vituperation from you, i just can't say you erred, but like seriously, i had expected you as an Ex Gen Sec. of a student fellowship to have learnt to exhibit the virtues of calmness and tolerance, even when you are seriously annoyed! We should always learn not to let our mood swings get a better part of us.

I writes too, but i must admit, you rocks. I have had the ample opportunity to get along with notable writers in seminars and social forum, i must tell you, the readers cum writers response have always been superb, even with nasty comments. Many takes it as a compliment, it's one of those things that comes with writings. Even Achebe's, Okigbo's, Cyprians, W.S and literary works of many writers have been seriously criticise from ingenuity to tribalism. It's a small world sis, we don't know who is who.

Indeed, my time here has been worth the while and i can't but wish you all the best in Life.

More grace and Wisdom.

One way to do that is to contribute to our alma mater, former university's growth and help provide scholarships to indigent students while promoting SKILLS acquisition from technical and vocational education.
It can be well with us.
Thanks dear. I have a vision that encompasses that. That vision will come to pass someday by the power of the Almighty.

MORAL OF THE STORY
(WHETHER REAL OR FICTION)

with this story I have shared with you so far..

I am not telling you to open up to people or not to open up when you are in need.

I am not telling you to capitalise on the emotions of people.

I am not telling you to lie or not to lie in order to save your face from shame.

I am not telling you to become an hair stylist. Of course, not everybody is skillful with their hand. Being an entrepreneur encompasses a whole lot and you know what you are good at.

I believe from this story, you have been able to pick out one or two lessons after all in every nonsense, there is a sense.

Never live your life with a negative mindset because you find yourself in difficult situations. There are worse case scenarios and believe me you, you can never tell what's behind the smiles on the faces you come across on a daily basis.

Of course, I have only been able to throw some light on the financial difficulty some students go through, but there are other aspects too. You would be surprised to know the number of students with suicidal thoughts even when they live in luxury

No matter what, I repeat no matter what, suicide should never be an option.

LIKE the saying ,different situations require different measures.
I tell you this day, that no matter what you are going through in life, you should try as much as possible to be in control. Do not let any situation weigh you down or finally tear you apart.

In conclusion, always hold tight to your faith as we all know the saying that a man without faith is a man without hope.
But then again, you know what's Best for you so...

GO FIGURE!

Gracias !
Rose, whether your story is fiction or non-fiction doesn't make it less touching. I believe you, as well as all the readers picked one or two lessons from it. If it were true, I believe by now, you have recovered from the frustrating experiences.

One area I believe you erred was that you lost focus in your relationship with God. Thank God you picked up at last. I equally passed thru difficulties in my undergraduate years, but I kept on trusting God and he saw me thru.

One important takeaway for me is that I have learnt to be more considerate when I see people misbehave. For many, it was not intentional. OP, you took several wrong steps for which anyone that did not know what you passed would crucify you! Am not crucifying you.

Finally, I pray that our children will not be subjected to the dehumanizing situations we have been through. May God perfect your healing.

My School had resumed fully, I was in my second section , first semester, a year two student to be precise. I couldn't wait to tell anyone who cared to listen that I was a year two student, always ready to give one or two advice and orientation to freshers because I was actually feeling like an old bone. Not literally, I was. I was starting to look older than my age because I was burdened with anxiety, stress and prolonged thinking.
Rita was practically on my neck, she wanted to know when I was going to bring my part of the rent. I was seeing less of Andy because I made new friends. Andy was never in my thoughts and the only time I knew he existed was when I bump into him after lectures. And then one day Andy saw me in the department and called out to me
"Madam... Long time"
"Hi Andy, xup with you na" I said
"Na wa ooo... You just abandoned me abi.. Shey na like this we go dey dey? " he asked
" No na.." I laughed weakly "How can you say such a thing like that" I replied
"okay ooo.. See the way you are shining. Well I have been searching everywhere for you to tell you that my birthday is tomorrow Friday and that I am having a birthday party at my place the day after tomorrow since everybody would be available. I tried reaching you on your mobile but It was never connecting"
That was right. I had to sell my Samsung flip camera phone given to me by my father on my 16th birthday. I was forced to sell it so I could go back to school, lectures had commenced yet I was at home.
I had cried in my room before selling it to the buyer because what he offered to pay was N5000 naira.
I sold it anyways because I needed the money to pay for my transportation back to school, feeding and other miscellaneous.
My parents were yet to pay for my school fees and promised to send it down the following month and I didn't care how they were going to do that, all I wanted was the money, well I told them so.
I remembered vividly how I had packed up my luggage, after selling my mobile phone because it was one of the most difficult moments of my life in making a decision.
I was sadly glad I had a good quarrel with my parents before leaving the house.
Although I travelled back to school with my luggage but I still felt empty.
After I had highlighted from the bus, just when the driver made to continue driving, I screamed at him to stop, and when he did I told him my phone had fallen before I highlighted the bus and i needed to search for it.
Everyone looked around them in the bus and when the phone wasn't found yet, a passenger, who was an old woman suggested that everyone be searched starting with the young men.
While some people complained bitterly on how the search was taking so much time, few people took pity on me as I was crying and cursing and then the search continue, this time with much devotion.
After 20 minutes of a hopeless search, I suddenly remembered that I had sold my phone before leaving the house. With a guilty feeling, I went to the driver and told him that I Wanted the search to seize, that I was okay.
All the passengers became confused and wanted to know why, after all i had been crying bitterly that my phone was missing and that no one was leaving until it was found. Of course I did not give any explanation for fear of the unknown and hurriedly left the scene dragging my luggage behind me.
I walked away thinking if I was going mad and i suddenly remembered Andy and i were having a discussion when he tapped me on my shoulder and asked if I was okay and i answered in affirmative. I assured him I was going to attend his birthday party after he wrote down his house address on the back cover of one of my notes. We hugged and then I left him staring after me.
I didn't care what he was thinking of me because it was the of my problems....
Is this a fiction or a true life story? Whatever, may be the answer, the lessons are much. If it be a true life story, I salute your fighting spirit.

Christianity EtcRe: 9 Types Of Pastor's In Nigeria by ecnuel: 3:59pm On Sep 27, 2015
Under item 9, note that there is nothing wrong in having your "bible" in your laptop. Note that the bible did not come in the form we now have it. It came as different books in different SCROLLS. Some people put all the SCROLLS together and we have the "bible". In IPads, laptops, etc, numerous translations of the bible concordance, etc are put together in soft copy. So the man preaching from his laptop has obvious advantages.
Christianity EtcRe: Nigerians, Road Accidents And The Blood Of Jesus. by ecnuel: 7:15am On Sep 26, 2015
OP, while I agree with you that checks should be carried out by the concerned authorities, I disagree with you on your blanket condemnation of prayers for safety while on the road. Moreso, I have not come across any one of that says if you donate money to him, road accidents will be averted.

Just like Prov 3:5 says you should not lean on your own understanding, do the needful and ask God to take over. Remember the Titanic.

Cheating to me is very disrespectful. How people stay with an unrepentant cheating partner amazes me. There are cases where the husband infected wife with incurable viruses et al cuz he couldn't keep his dic kk in his pants. Let him go, you deserve better.... No, that's a fake website created a month ago http://whois.domaintools.com/upnmaxscon.com
They do not have a listed phone number and they are not registered with any business registries. Nor is there any information about them in any petroleum industry publications or databases
Also the contact information on the fake website is incorrect
If they are in Winnepeg Canada, why are they using a US mobile phone number from Washington? Why is their fax number in Missouri, US -- again a different country? And it's a fake address. The Woodsworth Building is located at 405 Broadway, not 335, so the address doesn't exist
Everything about it is fake
Cease contact and contact your local police if you sent money or passport details. Also report this to the site where you found the job posted so they can remove the ad ASAP before someone falls for it
Thanks a lot. They sent me a mail which I deem too good to be genuine. I decided to dig info about them. My suspicion has been proved true. I also checked the list of all oil and gas companies in Canada. They are missing.

PoliticsGod Please SOS! Nigeria Is Collapsing! by ecnuel(op): 3:52am On May 25, 2015
With electricity supply at its lowest in the recent history of the country, prolonged fuel scarcity is choking up businesses. The worst is that it all seems that the federal government under President Jonathan has given up in finding solutions.

Lots of firing and hiring has taken place in the last few weeks but nobody in NNPC has been fired!

Several coys are just rendering skeletal services. Now, my bank just sent me a mail to inform me of early closure at 1pm today due to energy crisis.

We will be in deeper mess if nothing is done in the next few days!
